Nice! What an awesome sound. I have this guitar in Black but I use is primarily for classic rock with a distorted tone. I got it at Guitar Center 2 years ago. I couldn't resist the major price break.
This guitar sounds awesome. B.B. would be pleased to hear this dude. I'm lovin this hollow body sound, but something is attracting me to get a Strat, plus it would be my first Strat and I feel like maybe I should start with that and then work my way up :D anyone have any advice for my decision??
real nice , i see you got an epiphone and a 335 , wow i wouldnt know which to pick up ,, i got a strat and 335 ,, so different ,, ha ha , love your mellow blues .,, ps that epi sounds real sweeeeet
im thinking about getting this guitar it will be my first electric i play acoustic right now and im like dieng to get an electric but my dads makin me wait till the end of the school year its between this or a fender mexican strat im stuck do you have any input?
@themanchild27 i bought it new in 06. close to 700.00 with tax. it's been outside of my house two or three times. i have several guitars so i would alternate them, enabling me to keep them all clean and straight. it's not in perfect condition, but it is well taken care of. based on that, make me a realistic offer, and we'll go from there. I also have a 1969 fender princeton reverb amp for sale. looks and sounds like its been in the closet for 40 years. excellent condition!!!!!!
Boa BluesZep, gostei de ver... Tenho uma lespaul mas notei que estou sempre tendendo a usar um timbre mais pra jazz... Pensando em provar uma semiacustica, essa Sheraton parece ter um timbre massa. Continue assim!
i already have an ibanez as73, but i have a lot of problems with it, i dont know if it would be worth it to buy a new guitar with the same design, can somebody help please?
If you're used to Fender, having something like this in your collection will be nice. The F holes make things sound somehow richer. I'm sure you'll like it.
great tone man, i really love this guitar, but im used to fender guitars.....anyway, ill surely buy an epiphone......but i dont know which one.......epiphone lucille or sheraton 2........this f-holes......do they make any difference....id appreciate it, if you write back..thx tjth
You really do play beautifully. Can I ask you where your amp EQ's are set, as well as the tone knobs on the Beautiful Sheraton II? I gotta get me one of those guitars! I have an Epi LP Standard +, and I was thinking about swapping the Pup's out for the 57 classics, but I think I'll wait and put them in a Sheraton II. I just love the tone. How does it sound with your Blues Jr.?
What I tend to notice is how common it is for us to want something other than what we have, regardless of whether or not we liked what they got when we first did.
I loved my Strat and then I wanted thicker tones. I love my Sheraton and now I want a Tele. You liked your LP but now you're looking for something else. :)
It's natural to want what we don't have, but try to remember how nice the things you have right now are. I'm sure your LP makes some tones a Fender-er would kill for. :)
@MITCHWILD Haha. As long as you keep in mind that earning new instruments won't make us too much happier, but finding happiness in our current situation is the true source of happiness. You can't keep up with the Jones'!
Explanation for psych. junkies: happiness adaptation consistently seeks homeostasis, like how a 'spoiled' child will be receive 'TOY X' and be entertained, whereas grateful child will receive 'TOY X' and see as a miracle. Blah, blah, blah. :)
If i took your comment the wrong way and you meant there's heaps of idiots that just play fast and call it jazz, well i see where your coming from. Although it seems alot more people just shred, and say they're playing metal..
How the hell is "i'm too stupid to read music so i'll just make it as i go and call it jazz" a true statement. Did you even think before you wrote that. Out of all the styles, jazz and classical are the ones that rely on reading music the most. As for make it up as i go along, thats called improvisation....
Yes...in small doses, but 5 minutes non-stop of 32nd notes means nothing if you can't play it IDENTICLE EACH TIME. It usually means; "if I slow down you'll be able to tell I know nothing about composition but I'm impressing the other geniuses as cluless as I am. That's where SOME jazz came from. "I'm too stupid to read music so I'll just make it up as I go and call it jazz"
missystu. thats really stupid. since when did ANY jazz come from people playing as fast as they can. listen to django, he's a hell fast player with only two working fingers on his left hand. yeah! he plays fast. are you gonna say he's shit now? coz the guy is worshipped by jazz and metal players alike and everywhere in between! there is no jazz originating from the idea that playing fast works best. all jazz begins with theory. then where you go from there is anyones guess. jazz is about freedom
See folks? This guy is not trying to show how FAST he can ply, a punk-monkey can move fast, he's showing you how professional and GOOD he can play....QUALITY,not quantity. Nice job BluesZep!
sorry....but can you tell me how you put the backtrack sound? i'd like to know if it is a software or whatever...just to improvise over the backtrack....thanks! by the way....you have a very nice sound!
You make a fantastic sound and I have really enjoyed all your vids. I play a '98 Sheraton and on the basis of this and your other vids I just bought a Peavey Classic 30 yesterday and gigged it that same night. It rocks! I'm absolutely thrilled with it and looking forward to exploring more fully all the tonal possibilities. So thanks so much for demoing this guitar and amp combination so eloquently.
I've had to order the mounting screws, because stock ones did't fit classic 57's. But pickups are already on guitar, just waiting for the screws. I've installed new CTS pots, and 50's wiring.
great tone man! you really got the blues right there! I just bought an '87 Epiphone Sheraton myself...what pickups would you consider to upgrade the tone a bit more?
just how feedback resistant is this thing? i'm thinking about buying one and the only thing stopping me is how much distortion this thing can handle. nice video buy the way.
You could get away with it, the guitar resonates nicely with distortion, might need a little more powerful bridge pickup for the really raunchy riffs they have. Careful though, these will feedback with lots of gain and volume.
I think maybe you misunderstood. I had a Epi Sheraton II and I traded it in on a Gibson B.B King Lucille. I had bought the Epi used and had it for a couple of years so I didn't get much for it. The Lucille was $2499 new and if I remember right, they gave me about $300 for the Epi so I got the Lucille for around $2199 plus tax. I was gonna buy it anyway, regardless of what they gave me so now I've got Lucille and I love it. Now I'm thinking of buying a Les Paul Supreme.
Love the sound. I have the same guitar with Seymour Duncans. Seth Lover at the bridge and '59 at the neck. Fitting them was interesting! Sounds nothing like yours. Maybe the Line 6 AX2 is the problem. Need to seriously think about a good tube amp.
Perhaps I missed it in prior comments to you and your replies, but what is the amp you are using? Thanks, Excellent tone and play my friend. Enjoyed your video.
great job . I have the epiphone casino. working this song but I have a different versing. I like yours better do you have the tabs or can you tell me where to get them.
really nice box, i'm thinkin' of gettin one like this, tho i think it looks better with the pickguard, imo. say how does it sound unplugged? I ask because I know it has a sustain block, and well...yea...if it's not too much trouble i'd like to hear please
In my opinion, she looks better with pickguard on, but unfortunatelly I've bought her without pickguard. I'm trying to find one on eBay, maybe I get a 335-style.
She has a good acoustic sound. Of course it's not too loud, but has good volume and good projection. I'll try to record something to show you hers unplugged sound.
i'm debating on either getting a sheraton II or a casino... they both the same price, i know the casino is little more treble-y then this and i've played both and are both really versitile... i dont know which one i want... i guess the one with the pretty headstock might win!! lol this vid helps alot with tone demo thanks....
I wanted an ES style pick guard for my Sheraton. The Gibson doesn't fit. The pick ups are just a hair off. I had one made custom from pickguardiansdotcom. It's looks so much better than the Epi one did.(I hated the ugly faded mock tortoise) I have upgraded to Gibson 490T/498R pickups, CTS pots, Sprague OD caps, Switchcraft jack & selector switch. Very close to the ES, but a tad brighter, due to the 5 piece neck. Just added Grover locking tuners. It's a keeper! Got about $800 in it.
Happnin Serg!

Enjoyed your video.

wow I really like the finish of your sheraton, mine's more yellow-ish. Great sound! I love the creamy tone of the sheraton!

really nice box, i'm thinkin' of gettin one like this, tho i think it looks better with the pickguard, imo. say how does it sound unplugged?
