  • Justin: Another great lesson! Many thanks.

PS: Please ignore the dorkheads ... The world is full of jerks and I sometimes think half of them are regulars on YouTube.

  • I have a question... Which part do I play when he does the whistley bit at the end? Verse, Chorus or Bridge???

    Cheers

    MK

  • Superb..excellent lesson as usual. Were just getting ready to start this tune in our oldies band..so this will surley cheat me along to save some time working this out. Thanks again!

  • woah.. thought your guitar only had 3 strings at first.. you can only see 3 of the tuning nobs..

  • ok do you know the lead guitar version like the pearl jam version if you've heard it, is a bit more complicated but your vid is helpful.

  • Justin,

You never fail to put a smile on my face. You make me happy. Thank you.

  • IF PPL THINK JUSTIN IS DOIN A CORD WRONG AND NOTICE IT AND LISTIN TO THE SONG AND MAKE THE CORRECTION ON THEIR GUITAR , WELL THEN ,THAT IS JUSTIN"S BIGGEST AND FIRST MOST LESSON AND U DIDNT EVEN KNOW IT WAS BEING TOUGHT 2 U.

  • Hi Justin, you have a sweet sweet voice and such a pretty mouth.

  • lol @ "big barre chord f"; nevertheless absolutely great lesson (as always!). You truely have a talent as both a musician and teacher (which don't always go hand in hand)!

  • LOL Just rinsed his opposition.

  • Hi there Justin, Mike Surman just saying hello!

Good to see you showing us how its done!

    Speak soon and Thumbs up!

  • This is awesome! Thanks alot!

  • I can't B7 what people tell me to do...

  • @Zirboman Practice barre chords, it takes time I was stumped to what to do too, but it took me like a week trying to play songs with the chord in, like Livin' on a Prayer :)

  • thank you mate:D Just started to learn the chords though:P any practice is good practice, right?:)

  • awesome, as usual!

  • Thanks -good stuff, I appreciated it. BTW- I really hope that every douchebag on You Tube is not only from the USA....they seem disproportionately represented here....

  • !!!!!!! super super :)

  • Wasting Geeee EEEE ee! haha love that

  • chorus's are actually all E majors i do believe. nice vid though

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • All the chords are majors,no minors or 7ths.Just listen to the real deal.

  • Damn I love this song. One of the first I learned when I was startin' out. It's been a while since I saw the vid but I missed the Sittin' on the Dock of the A, Wastin' G and goin' to E... xD

  • GREAT SONG GREAT LESSON

  • Hey, im just playing for half a year, and you make it so easy for me to follow you with the guitar!! So thank you for teaching this song.

    Angela ;.)

  • lol i love the little shoutout to dave taub in the beginning

  • your lessons are just great fun :)

  • nothing to B7 for

  • How cool! I like it, you don't shout at me like my guitar teacher used to....he was angry angry angry!!

  • Justin; To my ear, it's an E major, not an E minor at all points in the chorus. Would you listen again, and see if you still think it's an Em?

Anyone else hear it as E major at all points in the chorus??

    Thanks;

  • Your might be right about this. Can't tell for sure. When I play it with barre chords I use E major for the chorus part and barre chords for everything else. E minor sounds okay here though.

  • Very very good teaching!!

    Congratulations!!

    And nice voice too.

  • Thanks Justin. Good lesson as always.

  • G on the dock of the A wasting G... very good, a nice and effective lesson.

  • I am a beginner and I appreciate the way Justin teaches...slow and easy. This is a great video and easy song to start with. If you are a beginner also, check out Justin's beginner lesson series on his web site. It's awesome. I think I'll become a guitar player yet.

  • Best Youtube lesson Period. Your great attitude, (no ego) easy to follow style and the fact that you are just plain having fun made it beyond great. I'm subscribed, and will watch all your stuff. Even the wife (who gave up guitar lessons a while ago) listening on the desk next to mine said she could follow you trying to learn. Thanks, Justin. You have a couple big fans here.

  • brill!!i dont feel like the bridge is right tho

  • great stuff justin ,

    Hami

  • Your videos are really useful so thank you,

do you think you could do a lesson either for "someday" by Bryan Greenberg or "Day old hate" by Dallas Green. if you haven't heard them, they're really good songs especially for the guitar.
