I did'nt start out as an atheist. I became an atheist because the historical facts and impirical scientific facts and evidence, do not fit the biblical claims.

Rome did not act as judge jury and executioner for petty offences with in an insignificant religion. Rome was only concerned about itself and maintaining it's stranglehold. This is a typical example of exagerated claims in the bible over it's influence. The Jews had no influence at all, in fact Rome treated foriegn religions with total indifference.

Christianty spent over 1500 years trying to create one world religion by whatever means it could, forced conversion and killing included. Funny to see some of it's top nut jobs get bent out of shape over this. Read a couple of history, coparitive rlogion, and science books people, not just a collection of 2500 year old mythology.

@reginaDexant If all religions are not the same then they are not religion at all becuase the whole point of the religion is to teach one how to control this mind which is easily conquered by lust, greed, ego, attachment and anger, if you win over your mind you win over the world. God is beyond birth, he does not have one son, we are all his creation and all the prophets and gurus are his messangers that preach the true word. Your religion developed from other past beliefs just like others.

The Old testament already brought the trinity in Abraham's time which dates, from the city of Ur, Chaldean, from the land of Summer in Mesopotamia that dates close to 25h century BC. read Genesis chapter 18. First civilization form in Tigris and Eufrate's from 5000 BC. Sorry but "Mithrasism" was practiced by the Romans, and the Hellenic Greeks that copied it from the Indo-Persian god of truth Mithra form around 1300BC.
