Even though the avatar at 0:17 can bend all elements, he should not be using fire. Fire is not lava. Figuratively speaking, the avatar should be using his earth bending skills to bend the lava, as lava is just "melted rock". It's like how Toph figured out how to bend metal as metal is just "purified rock".
