  • well we changed the box and did some more dyno time, on 14psi its 730rwhp, anything above 14psi blow the converter off, 747rwhp just over 14psi, new converter flashes 5500rpm. Converter is too loose but spools up faster and behaves well, feels better than last converter but doesn't show as much power.

After about 10 consecutive 750rwhp runs we ran into trouble lifting the 2V iron heads. Some world alloys going on in future, thicker decks, I cbf'd going to Cu gaskets with 2V irons.

  • Nice mate, love your work.

  • surely the ol all mighty 351 can handle 20psi? ;)

  • @MechTech82 will find out soon enough!

  • I think a beer is long overdue Chuck. You never give up on anything. Fucking brilliant dude. - Rob

  • @oOMACHINAOo long time no see mate!

  • Don't worry. I plan on being down there next year ;) might have to tee something up sooner though. Get on beers again

  • good shit chuck, look forward to see it running, glad it has worked out for you...... This thing was one of those cars that get slowly pieced together, no short cuts..... love it mate

  • cheers Goody, have to come down next nats if you get the time.

  • Top stuff mate

  • Is this running direct liquid injection?

  • No, its just plain old vapour carbed.

    Complex mixer, simple converter.

  • So what is this car theoretically capable of with this fuel setup? Also, are the guys who made your fuel tank still in business?

  • fuel system i'd say about 1500fwhp, maybe a touch more, but it would need another mixer above 1300fwhp approx. And yes they are still in business.

the actual tank, it would support 3000hp approx.

we ran the 732, just off empty, so it can deliver 900fwhp of gas easily, even when its almost empty.

  • Awesome stuff, very impressive.

  • the current setup, the turbo is almost done, it may go 850rwhp, but nothing more.

the trouble pushing much further, is the parts required cost heaps, and it would need better rods, and a better glide, which is the best part of 15K, after 1000fwhp, the cost to make it hold together it just skyrockets.

  • Excellent work Charle's you deserve the Accolade's!!!

  • Nice work guys, I missed the first run. I caught the second time though when you ran 702. Nice meeting you all

    Scott Taylor

  • Fantastic work Charles! BBQ FTW :)

  • Unfortunately when we turned up the boost it started blowing out the spark. But still not bad to run 732 with ungapped plugs and a 20$ repco lead set........

Thanks for all the comments, it was great to have such a good output without any developement time at all, it still has more in it.

  • Once again, abso-fucking-lutely BRILLIANT, Charles!

  • Onya Charles! Fantastic work.

  • Great work Charles. Cant wait to see some results once you've had time to mess around with the tuning!

  • grouse.........want more.....

  • bloody top work

  • well done!

  • you l;eft out the untuned part! fucking wicked Charles! congrats!

  • Absofuckinglutely awesome. Wind the wick up baby, 900hp+ FTW!!!

    Glenn (xm-221)
