  • I'm so very proud of you Shawna for talking about what you believe in

  • This is amazing <3

  • God put those words in your mouth for a reason , dont be afriad to talk about him.

  • I am so incredibly proud of you Shawna .

  • Do you even know what you are talking about?

  • get it girl. your courage is great. <3

  • wow :)

  • I don't believe in a faith, not Christianity, Muslim nor Hebrew. What i believe in is a species, and that species is the Homo sapiens species, this includes you, me, and all humans on the planet. I believe that this species has the power to care for another, and understand another, and most of all accept one another. You know that feeling you get when someone talks bad even slightly about your faith? Other people feel the same when you talk bad about their's. So stop lets stop this hate :L

  • Amen. So real and just powerful. I remix hip hop songs with christian lyrics. Feel free to checkout my page.

  • You did something many people would not be able to do, and that is why i watch your vids. and you basically passed on the word of the lord, and for as long as you want i shall pray beside you in youtube. and to the people who are beaten and tortured for believing in jesus christ and our god, i shall pray for you every night of my life and that i swear on my name.

  • Amen. I pray that I will learn to love like this.

  • I think this video is beautiful and that you are very brave to stand for what you believe in. I pray that other countries and people in general may have an open mind and accept other people's beliefs. Stay strong and never lose hope.

    Your brother in Christ,

    Nick

  • You are such a wonderful person.

  • You are an angel..

  • It's really encouraging to see videos like this on YouTube, I think it'll help us grow as a nation and as individuals, if more of us can share out thoughts with others, the more people will learn - I just want to say that despite my beliefs I don't treat others based on theirs, whether their the same or different, I think it's a growing idea, more people are of the same mindset. "Treat Others, As You Would Wish To Be Treated"

It's a tough world, but your powering through it - Chin Up, Smile :)

  • I think that you said it all Shawna. I consider myself a Christian, and I think that everybody deserves happiness. I don't care what religion, background, beliefs, whatever people have. Everyone deserves enough freedom to be respected in their beliefs. Everyone deserves the pursuit of happiness and should not be persecuted for trying to get it.

  • I wish I could have the guts to love God so openly.

  • You may not agree with her religious viewpoint, but that doesn't mean that anything she's talking about is incorrect. This video is a promotion of basic human right and the fact that its been presented from a certain religious viewpoint about a certain situation in 1 country doesn't take anything from this. She isn't saying that other groups in other countries aren't persecuted, she is using the situation in Egypt as an example for human rights in general. Thank you Shawna 4 a moving video <3

  • If you read what quran really means you will find that many things that are written there are the same as the ones in the bible except that there are some additions in the quran.

  • How about if i said that many christians believe that Muslims are terrorists when they're not.

  • on all that God has done for you.

    Thanks again Shawna! :D

  • re that. Never lose it.

As for all of our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world, especially those of you being persecuted, never give up. Paul wrote that his suffering made him happy because it was furthering the kingdom of God and teaching more people who he is, and although it is harder than words can express, you are all doing just that. Ecclesiastes 5:20 says, "They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart." NIV Don't dwell

  • think that by praying, all of our wishes will be granted (because they won't), but because it is how we get to know God better. How do you get to know a person? By talking to them. If we want to know God, we have to talk to him. Shawna, thanks for having the courage to talk about your faith where other people could see. It's so easy to do it when we are alone, out of the public eye, but to do it where people can watch us and mock us and cut us down and do it anyway takes some real guts. I admi

  • Just to clarify, Christians are not perfect. We are forgiven, but not sinless. Christianity is not a religion either. It is a relationship with a God who loves you enough he died for you. Most of the time, religion is characterized by good deeds and sweet words, but that's just good deeds and sweet words unless it comes out if the overflow of you relationship with God. Anyone can call themselves a Christian, but do they really have that relationship with God? That is why we pray. Not because we

  • & it is nice of you to post this video it probably took courage but there are alot of people in Egypt who support each other and christians and muslims here are one despite what happens and all the fights and the difference in beliefs and opinions, some injustice does happen but it goes both ways towards the christians and towards the muslims and towards people and humans in general, but we're not intolerant people, and we do consider ourselves brothers and sisters despite our different religions

  • Okay, so first of all, Egypt is really not like that at all. I do live here and I'm Muslim and i have tons of christian friends here and we're all Egyptian and we're all treated the same exact way, and no they don't get prosecuted for being christian, there are fights that occur between people of opposite faiths here i wont deny it but they're not viewed as non-human, we have some people who hold grudges against other religions but so do all countries.. just wanted to make that clear

  • I'm Muslim and I agree with 100% of what you are saying. No person should have to live their life suffering for what the believe in. The Muslims enforcing the discrimination are not true Muslims because the Quran teach us that we should love and show compassion to all people of the book (referring to the Torah and the Bible). We are all brothers and sisters that share this world.

  • must have taken a lot of courage and strength to post this. I can feel the compassion and love that you have. It just seems so crazy that I live such a comfortable life worshiping, I have never been in a situation where my faith has been threatened physically. I cannot relate one bit. Thanks you, :) you're amazing for posting this and Challenging us to pray and take action for the persecuted.

  • this is really rude on several levels, one of them being that they're against being not-muslim, they're not against christians specifically, and another level being the fact that if the muslims (or anyone, really) are going to be bitched at for religious discrimination, what about all the other religions that they did the same and worse to?

  • :(

  • Thank you for enlightening me on this matter, I had no idea that was going on. I feel so blessed, but at the same time incredibly sad for the persecuted people, Christian or not, in the world today. Do not pay attention to the people who ridicule you, I know you mean well and I pray they will too one day. Thank you, and God bless.

  • @moad1000 empathy is something admirable, normal, human. if you don't feel empathy that makes you a sociopath, you should probably get that checked.

  • You are full of shit. thousands thing happened in Egypt and only you don't care about the so called christen believe me the Egyptians are on one heart and they know what is good for them and i think that the christen-Egyptian community don't care about you and your stupid open letters.

  • What could I possibly say as being an atheist lol.Go go religion. And IT IS about killing each other,go read your holy books for your God's sake. Also praying won't help a single bit.I feel bad for this girl.

  • I knew that you were hilarious after watching SAIL. I knew that you were wonderful after watching many more of your ridiculous videos that made me smile and laugh. I knew that I loved you and your beaming personality when I met you at "The Dial Up Tour". After that, I thought it was impossible to love you any more. But this video proved me wrong and made me love you 10 times more. Thanks for letting me join you in prayer at the end. You are an inspiration to so many people, Shawna. ♥

  • hey, hey guess what. This is super cool. so yeah. Go Jesus! :D

  • Seriously stop being so rude she's not saying that Christians don't do awfull things, because they do. In this video she is talking about this misfortune, but that is not to say that she doesn't understand that other religions are also persecuted. I think she is brave

  • @69southpole...I'm a christian and i think we can all agree that there is a difference between calling yourself christian, and BEING a Christian. Those people who drive people out of their nations are NOT christians. Those who hate gays and drive them out of churches are NOT christians. Religion has become so ridiculous that it has twisted the very foundation of our belief. So when you see the people calling themselves "christians" pay attention to what they are doing. Those who kill and judge

  • Oh and what about GAY people, who are straightforwardly killed for who they ARE, instead of for their religious CHOICES.. Eitherway, the fact remains that every kind of injustice referred to on this page is terrible and we can shake hands on the fact that it sucks to be a minority.

  • @ficklefey this video isn't about gays though. It's about Christians, if you want to argue about gay rights go to another video.

  • @sydw56 Yeah.. it's not about non-christians, Muslims or narcissistic blondes either.. you missed my point.. It's not about agression towards Christians, it's about people being treated like they aren't people. For whatever reason.

  • I also understand your concern towards your people. But where is your concern when Christians are invading other peoples countries and killing them? You can so easily cry for your people but when your people decide to kill thousands its no big deal right? mhm.

  • @69southpole Hm well, you can easily say that for any "type" of person. Whether it be race, religion, sex, homosexual, straight, political views, there are bad people and good people. Just because there are some bad people of a certain "type" of person does not mean there are those that are purely good people. So you're saying that black people shouldn't celebrate MLK Day because black people start gang wars? Or that Germans should be shunned for WW2. No, everyone is an individual.

  • What about the Christians who say that the world is going to end on this specific date and if you don't follow jesus you will not make it blah blah blah??? Like honestly i do not mean to disrespect your faith but what is happening to Christians is not as bad as what Christians do to others. Why dont you speak up against that? About the hundred ways your people are killing or converting others? Just a suggestion!

  • How about the innocent muslims in USA who are put down for being muslims by Christians?? What about the Christians who have forced their way into Afghanistan and are killing innocent muslims? What about the Innocent Sikhs and Hindus who get called terrorists by CHRISTIANS? What about the Atheists who are supposedly "doomed to hell" for not following Christianity? What about the Christians who go around starting bullshit "white power" groups?

  • And nor is any other country to be blamed for what a few do. How dare you point fingers at any group of people when its more than obvious that Christianity has done the most cruel things throughout history? Oh and next Saturday if one of those Christian bitches come knocking at my door i'm going to tell them where to stick their Jesus :) Maybe if Christians shut the fuck up about how their religion is the "true one" and blah blah blah the world would not hate you in the first place.

  • Maybe some fucking where people are treating Christians bad. But everywhere...Christians are treating non Christians bad every single day and no one talks about it. Not only is Christianity forced down our throats in everyday life but we have to apparently put up with all the shit ways they treat us. They can say a million bad things about other religions but 1 thing against theirs and suddenly its like their taking a big painful shit. Shut the fuck up and get over your selves.

  • Shut the fuck up ugly white bitch. What about all the innocent people Christians kill? If not kill...they put down others for not following CHRIST. Several times i have come across some Christian saying im doomed to hell because i don't follow Christianity. No other religion has ever done that to me. Christians have done MUCH worse to other people in the name of their own religion. No one can top the cruelty of Christians.

  • How could God let that happen?! D:

  • My sister, you probably will never meet me, see my face, or even read this. Heck, I don't know your real name other than "Nanalew." But dude, I subscribed to your videos not too long ago cause i thought they were hilarious. This video surprised the heck out of me. I didn't know you were Christian. I am utterly and completely convicted. You've got serious moxy. Seriously dude, you showed your faith on YOUTUBE. I pray to be as bold as you...anyway, thanks for this video.

    -unknown bro

  • @speedlord2 Then don't comment or watch. Apparently you don't care about innocent people being terrorized.

  • @Nanalew Here's a HUUUGE thank-you coming from Egypt! =D The fact that you went so far as to make a video like this gives me warm-fuzzies, and it says something. We definitely appreciate the prayer, and it's awesome knowing that we've got people praying with us outside of the country! It doesn't matter so much of what you said in this video- it's the heart that counts. =]

  • Everyone in China, Egypt, North Korea and all of the other countries, remember that God will always be with you, also remember that in Mark Jesus asks the diciples to take up their cross and to follow him, you are following him and remember you are being rewarded and will one day meet our father in heaven, stay strong and we are praying for you.

Shawna, thankyou, i hope that everyone who watches this will close their eyes and say a prayer for the perscuted churches.

  • @Nanalew It's true that Muslims are persecuted if they convert, but Christians born Christian are not persecuted, unless conflicts arise in the poorer regions, which are sometimes ongoing etc. The problem today with Egypt is the fact that Churches have been burned for some wild rumor that a muslim girl had converted to Christianity. All in all, the middle and higher-class people in areas like cairo and alexandria are fine with Christians, and I have many Muslim friends who are wonderful people

  • I know no one will really read this, but I think it's important for us to identify between "belief" and basic human morals. Homosexuals are persecuted by many christians every day, yet their viewpoint is accepted as belief and not down right biggotry. I know very little about Islam, but it seems that it has a lot in common with christianity bar the fact it's a lot more traditionalist. I think christianity has a lot to re-think before worrying about the issues of other cultures.

  • You are amazing!!! After watching this you became my new favorite person on YouTube!!!!! Finally someone who clearly and honestly stands up for what they believe in!!! You are awesome!!! Thank you!!!!! Thank you!!!!

  • Amazing. One of my favorite quotes is, open your mind before your mouth. You certainly did and I hope the people in other countries who are persecuting other religions do too. Btw, I'm Hindu and proud. I barley practice my religion though, I consider myself atheist but I stay Hindu for my parents

  • @shluffying when it comes to survival there is no right and wrong, only those who survive and those who perish... @allthepplhatinonreligion while I myself am an atheist religion is not always the problem and can be constructive especially when it motivates ppl to do the right thing, I may not believe Jesus is a god but to treat your neighbor as yourself is not just a religious calling but a human calling, one that we would all do well to take up.

  • Actually what i find curious is that when it comes to your belief and human rights. Almost everyone choses themselves. In the countries that have little resource and a natural tendency to fall apart if not held together, Martial's Law is usually the only way to get the job done. Even westerners will be aggressive towards a foreigner cause thats human nature and where there is not enough to live, the people cant think about right.

  • I HATE RELIGIOUS FUUUCKS SO MUCH -:(

  • I hate everyone and everything that has to do with religions.

  • I know it is pretty hard for you all in these countries, but you must be sure that you all are going to be saved. Your persecution here on earth is definitively going to be rewarded after live. We all are praying for you.

  • user below me: troll; zero social life ↓

  • Nice face to jizz on.

  • HUGS AND HUGS AND HUGS You rock girl <3

  • Faith At Its Finest...absolutely brilliant

  • I do not have faith in God or any other divinity. Yet, this hasn't ever blocked me from seeing all the beauty in this world, understanding the views of many people, and mostly enjoying such inspiring and loving messages such as the one you have just made. It was... truly heart warming and I must say I cried during most of it. You are a beautiful person inside and out, and your prayers reached my heart deeply. Thank you so much for speaking up against the violence that is happening worldwide.

  • I thank the good Lord to see that there is someone out there with the guts to put their reputation on the line to say this, Please add my friend, Daniel Nichoni to your prayer list. He is a missionary to the Roma Gypsies in Romania and has survived several murder attempts already.

  • I am very proud of you for this. You would be surprised to know how many young people will see this and change their lives as a result. BTW... Your regular stuff is FUNNY!

  • You're a christian? What courage, I admire you for being open about this. You're inspiring and beautiful Nanalew.

  • I've come back to this video quite a few times - it's so encouraging, especially amongst a lot of the other stuff on youtube! Now if only there were such Christian girls in Australia...

  • Thank you do much for sharing an issue so close to your heart and for standing up for basic human rights. No one should be persecuted for believing differently than others think they should. Praying for peace, acceptance and better understanding of our fellow human beings all over the world and in all issues.

  • Whoa whoa whoa relax ppl. First i have to say well done for coming out and standing for what you believe in. I personally am not a christian or muslim, and i dont believe in a god of any kind. But i do believe in what your saying. Not that its a religious oppressing but the fact that one man has the power to order an army to shoot on peaceful protests. This is ruling through fear and needs to end...

The death toll in syria has been estimated at over 6000 people... it needs to be ended.

    thanks :)

  • Thank you for standing out from a lot of other youtubers. It's refreshing to see this. :)

  • "The only thing necessary to the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Couldn't help but think of this quote while watching the video. And it's true! Sometimes all it takes to right an injustice is one person raising awareness. Your video will make a difference with each view. That's definitely something to feel good about. Love your other videos too btw.

  • I used to dislike Nanalew, but I think I like her after seeing how compassionate and good she is.

  • we are family we'll always be.. and about the prayer ask the Christians of egypt who protected their churches during the prayer..our Christians are fair they won't lie to you ..ask them what happened when some soldiers attacked them in their stand " like they always do they don't care if you're Christian or Muslim" who spoke out angrily and loudly against the army..anyway i don't care i'll support ppl of my country they will support me too u can say what u want lie as u want long live egypt

  • i can't listen to this anymore it just going from bad to worse sorry u're really taking about egypt?? coz i'm egyptian the revolution wasn't about religion at all chrestians and muslims were there asking for the same things..and how could the 12% survived in this crowded country if they were treated like inhuman?? just so u no even when bad things happened in egypt all chrestians who spoke in media or around me defended us and kept on repeating the names of muslim ppl helped them

  • @coolht89 It's less about the revolution and more about how there are still people that are being beaten nearly to death because they preach the Word of God. It's not right to be attacked for what you believe. I wouldn't go around to Muslims with pepper spray just because I disagree with them. Stuff like this is human injustice no matter what religion. Praises go up for her because she's putting it out there that she actually cares about the people, not just the political agenda.

  • @nocturalindiecraze

yes many Egyptians have been beaten to death lost their eyes humiliated in public but it's not about religion (actually most of them are Muslims) anyone raise his voice now take that as a punishment for disturbing the peace and terrorizing the safety of Egypt and Egyptian :D we don't force them to do anything we celebrate Christmas with them for god sake :D..if what she's saying was true i would accept it even if it was bad things about my country

  • @nocturalindiecraze

i'm not saying she's a liar btw not accusing her 2 she maybe really has a golden heart i didn't like the crying part but maybe it was for real it's just my media made me feel that anyone cries in front of cam is fake but maybe it's just us "the differences of cultures" she's pretty and active 2 god bless her but next time she should make sure if what she's gonna talk about is true or not and stay away from exaggeration.."fairness"...do u no what i mean?

  • @MoraytheJoyBoat yup! Tessa's a Christian too ;)

  • Comment removed

  • PRAYING!

  • You're a Christian? Is Tessa? That's fantastic!!! Me too along with lots of others I'm sure! I've been watching you guys for quite a while now and I was hoping you were! Thank you for making this. <3

  • its mostly muslims which are prosticuted, unfortunately:( i wish the world would just get along with each other:'(...

  • This is great :) Standing up for what you believe in! awesome, ive been doing the same for bullying .

  • Kind regards to all people, regardless of religion. If I were religious, I would pray for the oppressed, but I'm not so instead I send out my best wishes. I'd also like to say that I appreciate it when people can be both serious and silly, when appropriate. We should all be trying to make a difference, even just by expressing ourselves and exchanging ideas. This leads to something actually being done to change things.

  • I love you Shawna! This made me cry <3

  • and there is hope

  • Hollar to the Muslims in the west and Chechnya, Buddhists in China, peoples in Palestine and homosexuals and women all over the world who are persecuted everyday too.

  • You are such a good person.

  • Oh my gosh the guys she's talking about came to our church and talked about him converting a beautiful story really

  • I'm thrilled with the positive comments on this video! I was expecting what you were afraid of, but it seems if someone is genuine about their faith people can't help but be amazed. I'm proud of you for posting this! It was very brave :] I'm glad to know you're a sister of mine. ^_^

  • Do you know what's happened to Yousef Nadarkhani now?

  • Your so brave to post this and I totally agree

  • It is a brave and wonderful thing to share your heart for Jesus with the word. Your words were bold and honest, and I was glad to join with you in your prayer. I hope that you have the strength to let God's light continue to shine through you!

  • I love you so much more for this. It's brave, it's encouraging! My youth pastor spoke about Yousef, he was also very upset about it. He hasn't spoken about it in a while though, so I'll be clicking that link in a second to see what's happened.

My favorite story of a Middle Eastern man converting to Christianity is one of a man named David Nassar (Iran?) He got his hands on a Bible and ended up yelling "I love Jesus" in his room over and over. His dad ran outside yelling "My son is gay!" Love it!

  • Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Thank you Nanalew for posting this video! My prayers go out to all those being persecuted.

  • So proud of my fellow sister in Christ! My whole high school loves you! ( 'course thay's only 108 people, but still) Please let me know if you would EVER be interested in speaking at one of our weekly chapels, we're in north Alabama. Ever craving some sweet tea? just fly the 12ish hours down here, and we'll give you a good ol' southern spread- I promise it will be worth it.

  • I love you nanalew (L) i can`t hear, just see you :$

  • Im muslim myself just to let everyone know not all muslims are radical some countries of the middle east think its right to hurt or other words kill all non believers , that's not true in the holy quran it states don't follow the footsteps of the non believers it does not say to kill or hurt abuse mentally or physically.Islam comes from salam it means peace some people of this realigion doesn't understand that . Thumbs this up so nanalew can see and the world .Thank you

  • I agree, god bless you and I subscribe.

Go copts, you are the new (and real) martyrs, not terrorists that are using their faith to subject people!

    Greetings from France!

  • i didn't hear anything because of that beautiful girl talking

  • I'm atheist and I completely agree. However I think we should all remember that it's is not just Christians who are persecuted for their beliefs and we should pray for everyone who is in that position, no matter what faith they are.

  • As a fellow christian I admire your courage and I appreciate this video a lot! Keep your head up, I'll be praying!!!

  • What a sweet girl!

  • Hey you're Canadian. I am too. I just wanted to say I appreciate your courage and strength to address such a topic on Youtube. I'm a Christian myself, and I know it's easy to kind of shy away from discussions such as this, simply because of what other people will say to cut us down. I'm glad you took a stand and I'm so glad you addressed those in other countries who are persecuted. I read once that there are 17 countries in this world where Christians are persecuted! God bless you :)

  • God Bless you. you have so much courage to come out and say these things and i stand beside you as one of God's children and i pray for our brothers and sisters over in these places that they will be okay. I pray that they will have strength through all of this and i know you do too. God Bless you

  • I hope this is not a act.

  • are u a comdiean. i dot think i spelled camideiam

  • Thanks Shawna. I appreciate the risk you take to step out and be honest about your faith. Your actions give me hope. Seeing your strength strengthens me. Thank you again and may God bless you in all you do.

  • @TheGrimTruth i am very sorry.... that is not how it should be.... i dont know who you are... but i want you to know that i respect and love you for you alone.... choose what you want. be what you want... dont choose at all... you should be loved all the same.... oh and i know i should like a flower child.... its sad... but funny in its own way haha

  • thank you soo much for this video! you are one of my favorite vlogers and this makes you soo much more in peoples eyes! this can only help those you prayed for in the fight to let people choose God. I know that he is in love with you and is giddy to have you love him back. You, Shawna, are more important to him than you will ever know. God Bless you!

    ~Jamie N. Frey

  • oh and for those 430 people who have disliked this can go **** yourselfs because you dont deserve half the things you have and for you to have the nerve to dislike such a touching 'preach' per se is both sick and pathetic

  • Good on you! I my self am atheist but its people like you who we need more of in this world i am really happy that some people speak up about these things because not everyone cares and its nice to see someone with a heart talk so dearly about it ... if that makes any sense ... anyways good for you!

  • It's people like you, Shawna, that make the world a better place to live in. All people should have the right to choose what they believe in. All people deserve to live in worlds like ours where discrimination is widely and strongly frowned upon. The world's slowly but surely changing, and it's my belief that it will change for the better. :)

  • This is so deep, Shawna, and you're so brave for posting this video, thank you. I never knew any of that was going on. Persecution is so terrible, I want to help if possible. You have my full support. :)

  • This was Amazing! It is so great we have people like you in the world , God bless you! :)

  • Thank you for being a religious person who also has an open mind. I know you're not the only one, but I guess I've gotten so jaded about religion because the only religious people I see are trying to shove it down my throat. This video was so beautiful. You've shed a new light on religion for me. You give me faith in humanity. I can't wait to see you in person for the tour. :)

  • WOW Shawna, its awesome that you posted this on YouTube, so many people dont understand the injustice going on in the world. I;m a Christian from Australia, and we need to all get together in prayer for our brothers and sisters suffering. May God be with each and every single person, and may God give them the strength to continue on in their faith. God Bless you Shawna :D

  • Great idea! And let's also remember the millions of people persecuted BY Christians:

Pagans during the Christian Roman Empire, the Crusades (11th and 13th century), the Roman Catholic Church Inquisition, the suppression, torture and murder of heretics, persecution of Crypto-Judaism, Witch-hunts and the Witch trials in the Early Modern period, Persecution of Buddhists, Violence and discrimination against LGBT people, discrimination against atheists, and the molestation, rape and abuse of child

  • @TheTammyTube What do Christians specifically have to do with molestation, rape and child abuse? Not trying to start a fight, just curious.

  • @TheTammyTube Noone perfect The message she is trying toget across is to stop all of what you listed from happening to anyone else She wasnt just saying only for the christans that are being prosecuted She was using her religion just as an example She wished it would stop happening to everyone from any religion There is too much wrong done to one another just because of what one believes in we should put aside our differences and work together to help one another Thatswhatshewastryingtogetacross

  • I'm going to try and keep this short 'cause everyone else is making long comments. I'm a Jew and I think this is terrible. Is there any way I can help?

  • Comment removed

  • Please help pastor Nadarkhani! Search for: iran targets youcef

  • Atheist, and I whole heartedly respect you for posting this video. My heart goes out to anyone suffering for their beliefs anywhere.

  • @nanalew 100% COMPLETELY AGREED WITH!! I'm so glad that I can watch someone on YouTube that is a Christian and believe the same things I do!! I was wondering I don't celebrate Christmas and I'm a Christian and I don't go to church and I'm a Christian..... What do you do and not do???

  • This video makes me happy, which is odd considering the topic. But it makes me happy because usually people who are well known on youtube, or even in pop culture in general, are embarassed and/or reluctant to profess their Christian faith to the audience, yet you did. I am obviously upset over these prosecutions (being Christian myself), but this video doesn't strike me as upsetting... I can't really pinpoint why, knowing that I should be sad.

... I think I seem heartless, now. Great.

  • I think a lot of people including myself tend to forget about terrorist persecution or any other type of it, not because they don't care but because people in general are forgetful. I know people are trying to help stop this, my cousin has gone on missionary trips to China twice and will be going back this spring. But it will take a long time if at all to get all this sorted out. But I think God will help the Christians pull through this because he wont forsake them. I am Christian, thanks 4post

  • Im christian. It's sad that this is going on. My prayers our out to all there that are being persecuted. Thank you for making this video. I approve it and I know God does as well.God bless all who see this.

  • You're amazing =)

  • You open many hearts by speaking yours ILY keep your chin up there always a plan in the end.

  • Biggest kudos in the world to you for this video! Speaking out about your beliefs and facing the criticism that inevitably results is one of the hardest things a blessed person in our Western world ever has to do, yet we're all called to do it in His name. So much respect to you for using this outlet and for following through with this video. May God bless you!

  • Im so thankful to live in Canada where you can legally preach your beliefs and not suffer persecution. I love christianity

  • You are incredible, I'm a proud Christian ad I had no idea about this issue, you and the persecuted churches will be in my prayers

  • @cherio28 first off worry about ur own problems! One sin is no bigger the Another cause sin is sin... Because of the way the world is today things are viewed on a scale

  • These words are beautiful! Good job!

  • "Love is the first word I say to you. Become new/ form a more perfect union. In my heart I am there with you." Raul Rosiles

  • im a muslim, in the middle east. i had no idea this was happening, our religion is supposed to be of open-mindedness and acceptance. im sorry. i was really disgusted by what i just heard and im soo sorry, Allah Akbar you honestly made me cry.. May god help people understand.

  • I prayed with you. :) You are amazing. God bless ya Shawna.

  • God Bless You

  • @Benheh

I am neither devoutly religious or homosexual, however I do agree that only speaking out for those of your own beliefs is wrong. There are many people suffering just as much as these unfortunate people and they too deserve our sympathy.

  • this is so wonderful, i'm not even religious but your passion and feeling for these poor people is inspiring, you're an amazing human being.

  • Okay fair enough, I understand why you would want to make this video; injustice needs to be spoken out against. But where is your video about Uganda and the majority of homosexuals there who are currently being persecuted, physically assaulted, driven out of their homes, raped, and actually killed BY CHRISTIANS for simply being gay? Why are you not speaking out against this? Surely this would also be a priority in human rights, for you as a Christian.

  • @Benheh If these "Christians" are killing people, they are not true Christians. You can't be in that deep of sin and have a relationship with God. Not saying that those people never will regain their relationship with God, I am just saying that if they are killing people, they are listening to Satan, not God at that time. Saying something like Christians hate all homosexuals because people who claim to be Christians hurt them is a terrible stereotype.

  • @LissaHuff I understand where you're coming from as a christian but homosexuality is one of the biggest sins. you should research about this not just in the bible. you may think that it is ok since people have treated them so badly, people should not celebrate them or harm them, just leave them be and leave the judging up to god (i speak from the point of view of a muslim)

  • @cherio28 If you read back on my comment, I didn't say my point of view on homosexuality, and I am not going to share it. So I don't really think this reply should be for me.

  • @Benheh Why don't you make a video about that?

  • i never favorite videos but i favorited this one. Tom.

  • I love watching your videos, because they're always good quality and so funny, but with this my respect for you has increased exponentially. Kudos to you for being brave enough to post something so dear to you on the internet. One of my classmates last year was actually from a Christian family in Egypt that moved to Canada a few years back to escape from the persecution there. I just wish people didn't have to resort to fleeing their homes just so they could feel safe in their beliefs.

  • Yo tambien.

  • I have to say Shawna, I'm very impressed by your putting up this video. I'm an atheist, yet I still agree with you on many points you've presented here. I believe everyone should have the right to believe what they need to and that it's entirely wrong to hurt and persecute others for their beliefs. I hope that those in the Middle East who are being persecuted find themselves in better places soon. I know that change won't be easy, but it's open-minded people like you who make it possible. <3
