  • 1978 ? Your brother was very talented. Thanks for sharing.

  • Incredible!!! The movements of the character are very fluid....lifelike. So amazing!!!!

  • Didn't the horta say all humans looked alike ;)

  • I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I have to admit, he did a great job on this project. Everything from the bridge to the outfits was pretty excellent. I can't wait to show my father this, as he is both a TOS ST fan and has been collecting some of the old G.I. Joes from his youth. :)

  • If I ever make my STAR TREK series with action figures the pilot episode will definitely be dedicated to your brother!

  • This was made in 1978? Amazing work! :D

  • amazing work.

  • Only 29 likes (I am one of the 29)? More people need to see this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing, even by todays standards. thnx for posting this.

  • Wow your brother John was way ahead of his time. This was done very good. What i was impressed on was that he didn't have the referral of information to recall from other that his memory. The flight deck was A plus. Not only was the figures movements done well, each one had something going on too. I can't believe he made that room by hand. Now the toy companies are doing what he did long ago. Maybe one day they will make a set as good as John did. he would be honored to know what you did here.

  • @rkttkr without computers!

  • This is excellent work.

  • This is absolutely some of the best "stop motion" animation I have ever seen. I can't even imagine the time, resources, and patience required to do this. Simply fantastic!

  • Unbelievable, particularly considering the tools he used and made. Very sorry to hear John's gone.

  • @becay223 This a amazing. I too shared Trek with my late brother, and I know how much this must mean to you. This is like a hidden gem here on YouTube, and I am SO glad to find it tonight. John was obviously gifted and did an incredible job. Thank you so much for sharing this. Russell

  • What's so fantastic about this is that the dolls/figures of the characters move so smoothly, lively, not stiff. You can tell a lot of work went into this. This is really top class stuff. And this was done before all the high tech camera equipment and special effects were available. It's truly an amazing piece of work. This is really great!

  • Amazing work. Brilliant!

  • fantastic work!

  • That was well done!

  • Very impressive !!!

your brother had a lot of talent, worthy of Ray Harryhausen.

It is a very beautiful tribute has its work that to diffused it on YouTube.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • I take it your brother has passed-away.

    I couldn't think of a better memorial.

Surely this wasn't his first experience, the animation in this looks very professional. A lot of the movements look very realistic and natural. Believe me, I've tried this and this 3 minettes

  • are nothing short of amazing!
