  • The tittle: "Tentative d'enlèvement"

  • i like his face when he sings "Je te donne rendez-vous" . such a gigolo...

  • that's track 13 tentative d'enlevement

  • Le val d'amour is a brothel: "Au Val d'Amour, Les femmes d'amour, Vous font l'amour, Pour quelques sous" Try to trade this, and if you're not convinced, trade this; "Que quelques sous, Pour faire l'amour, Aux femmes d'amour, Du Val d'Amour".

  • Bruno, je t'aime! j'aime ta voix, oh oui, j'aime , j'aime, j'aime!

  • @Queenisgod THis song is Tentative D'enlenvement. The next is La cour de miracles.

  • I just got finished watching the Italian version of this song... singing's great, acting's pretty good, but there's something they did differently that I seriously have a problem with. When Esmeralda fights off Quasi, she runs off and takes refuge in GRINGOIRE'S arms, instead of running into Phoebus. This is bad because in the book, one of the main reasons Esmeralda wouldn't love Gringoire is because he was there when Quasi attacked and he didn't have the guts to save her.

    Fail.

    This is better.

  • I don't know what you guys are complaining about--a whore house is a GREAT place to go on a first date with a near stranger

  • @RacbecSkywalker maybe you should stick to modern novels... it seems you don't get the feeling and you obviously you don't understand that moral rules have no relevance in the magic world of art, that's why it's art: you escape reality, IT'S A STORY, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!

  • @AnaGB100

I am aware that it's a story, I'm just saying that it's weird cuz he randomly invited her to...yea.....

not that I don't get the feeling, I've already read the sixth chapter of this book and I'm continuing to read more.

  • @RacbecSkywalker Not understanding the historical context, are we?...

  • @AuxaneD

Don't tell me I don't understand, okay? everyone's telling I don't understand when I do. Just 'cause I crack a stupid joke doesn't mean I can't understand this. I love this book and this musical. Heck, I've even watched the Disney version! I'll just delete the comment since everyone thinks i'm a jerk...

  • .. I thought number 11 was les portes de paris?

  • The title is '' Tentative d'enlèvement''

  • I think this song is called Tentative d'enlevement. Just saying. ;-)

  • cudooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

  • Podzielam Pani opinię i dodam od siebie cudooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

  • The fact he's got a wedding ring on his finger makes it kind of amusing when he asks Esmeralda to the brothel xD

  • Well Patrick Fiori in real life is married to Julie Zenatti, the lady who plays Fleur de Lys (ironically) hehe.

  • mmm no, he is married to Marina Baller ;)

  • Sorry, Marina BALLOR...

  • Well I had heard he was dating or married to Julie. My bad. :)

  • ignoble guy!

  • As much as love him, did he just invite Esmeralda to a prostitute house ?

  • Yes he did, all he wanted to do was have sex with her.

  • yes! ignoble guy! in novel he's worse musical character is a bit better..

  • I agree. With "Dechire" they made it seem as if he feels a bit guilty about dating two women, but in the book he's... cold about it, he simply wants to satisfy his lust AND to marry the "good" girl. (I always felt pity for tha book Fleur-de-Lys)

  • @m3tal1s4ever

O yes, I've thought of that just today. To marry such an ,,,unreliable guy((( Pity for her.

  • Of course, that's how you win the girl XD

  • @catgirl1234

maybe she doesn't KNOW that it's a prostitute house?

  • @catgirl1234 A cabaret is not the same as a brothel. Cabaret is a form of entertainment featuring comedy, song and dance. What distinguishes it is that it is held at a nightclub or restaurant, with audience members sitting at tables and a master of ceremonies directing the show. There may be prostitutes at a cabaret, but that is not its sole purpose.

  • @Ryoukawaii well in the book he actually invite her to a brothel, the val d'amour was indeed a cheap brothel run by an old hag

  • @catgirl1234 Don't love him. He's lovable in the Disney version. He's a major douche everywhere else. Love Kevin Kline Phoebus. Not Victor Hugo Phoebus.

  • @catgirl1234

"As much as love him, did he just invite Esmeralda to a prostitute house ?"

no she say to him, she's not the girl he could think

vous vous trompez sur moi, esmeralda n'est pas fille à soldats

    it's a mistake , i'm not a soldier"s girl

don't forget, when victor hugo write "notre dame de paris", it's in 1831

the "sexuals moeurs" are not free^^

  • ADORO NDP BRAVISSIMI TT

  • Phoebus is really tall.... haha

I love him in this song though.

  • The correct name of this song is: "Tentative d'enlèvement"

  • Thank you! (Merci!)

  • I get chills when Phoebus starts singing I'm the captain.

He has such a powerful voice, I love him and this song.

    Amazing!!

  • Yeah ! I totally agree with you !

    =D

  • Esmeralda is such a slut...

    "I'm not a soldier's girl!"

    "See you in a BROTHEL".

    "Okay".

  • lool XD

  • @CarnisianLady

hahahaha yes but love is blind

  • @CarnisianLady I think she was just naive , In the book It was shown very clearly how naive she was

  • @CarnisianLady A cabaret is not really a brothel. it's a place where some girls dance French Cancan or others erotic dances.

  • @33marionl Le val d'amour may be called a cabaret, but it's very much a brothel. The lyrics even say something about the girls who make love for a few coins. But even if you accept a date in a "cabaret" you are probably not that innocent.

  • The song is Tentative d'enlèvement

  • I love this song o.o

And I think that Esmeralda is kind of Feisty u.u

  • Poor Quasimodo...

  • She's not a viper, she is shallow and ignorant. The true viper would be Frollo.

  • and Phoebus who took advantage of her

  • Yes, they both are the villians in this story.

  • Is the orchestra live or pre-recorded?

  • Comment removed

  • no it's live not pre-recorded and Esméralda is a vyper i mean she is so unbelivably shallow and Quasimodo is a much better Person then Phoebus!

  • Comment removed

  • well i just think the whole thing is live because it is to hard to pre-record an exstatic audience like that....Ok i conced maybe the orchstra or pre-recorded but the audience it's clear their live (epsically if you have the 2 CD soundtrack) Their even more exstatic on that and it would be impossible to pre-record such excitmeant

As for the vyper thing I'm sticking to that I mean Esméralda is just the limet she gives water to Quaismodo and then she ignores him

    two faced idiot

  • she never knew who was in love with her?

Frollo or Quasimmodo i think she had an idea Frollo was in love with her (the attmpted rape and the poethic confession in the prison) but if you where refering to Quasimodo then your right she never knew even though he did hint it to her several times espcially in the scenes in the cathedral like when he gives her the crystal vase and the dead flower and when he tells her to listen to him because he has something to say to her and then the flees upset

  • Frollo was never truly in love with Esmeralda, he may have found her initially beautiful - but that attraction became an obsession and lustful ideal.

  • well in part of the novel Frollo pictures what it would be like if he marraied Esméralda and how he would be happy walking with her along the pramande or something I think he says that so he might have truely loved her and besides at least his "lust" was lust mistaken for love he thought he loved her while Phoebus knew he didn't love her and yet took advantage of her and enjoyed lusting after her

  • sorry i meant he flees upset

  • also she knew she was killing Frollo inside by talking on and on about Phoebus in front

of him as Hugo says "it's remarkable that he (Frollo) didn't seirously think of suicide" ok that's a different part of the novel but she is still killing him and how she treets Quasimodo when he try's to get Phoebus for her is horrible (she's also murdering him inside)

  • Esmeralda is wonderful! Her voice`s so.....so tender!

And,of course, Patric Fiory is outstanding actor....

    I love their singing!

  • And this song is calles: Tentative D'Enlevement

  • this song is named Tentative d'enlèvement

  • Pheobua seems a idiot to me! How can she ever choice to Frollo? Ok he was a priest and what? Luttero was it two he´s out and founder a new religion! Frollo could just out! He would do that for her!

  • but she didnt chose him...

  • *Choice him (Phoebus) to Frollo

  • He would do anything for her,she was stupid!!!Phoebus was stupid also.Girl gaves him heart and he ...This story could have happy ending...,but she was blind. Why no one open her eyes???

  • the name of this song is tentative d'enleve

  • I respect Esmeralda ^^

  • doesent he rape herr?

  • No, don't think He does. If I remember correctly, Priest Frollo commands Quasimodo to capture Esmerelda dor some reason. When Quais Is caught Frollo jets leaving quasi to take the heat. Well this all from my memory of the book. I'm not sure if it's right. Oh, and did you hear the song 'Belle' from this play? IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!! Listen to it if you haven't heard!!!

  • i have, i sung it in my class play. :) i was Frollo.

  • NO! You were Frollo? AWESOME! HE"S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER!

  • i was in the play too. i was Esmeralda ♥

  • Esmeralda is one of my least favorite characters, at least in the book. the way she treats Frollo when he opens his soul to her... AAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHH! Wants to make me yell. *sigh* I wish they'd do something like that here. :(

  • well, frollo is a priest, and when your a priest, you make an oath, and you can't get married or... well you know.

  • yes, I know. :) but I still don't like Esmeralda, still like Frolo, and still love the muscial and book. She could have at least been NICE to him...

  • yeah. that i agree.

  • well, I think the same

  • So agree with you. AND she's so stupid when she calls out for Phoebus whilst the soldiers are searching for her, right infront of her.

  • yes, that too. and she calls for Phoebus during Frollo's speech to her. :( that's even more sad. can't she see Phoebus doesn't love her?

then again, it's different in the play, because here he's Dechire.

  • OMG!! you gotta be kidding! French of English?

  • wha...?

  • Nah, I wasn't speaking to you! ... No offense, but I meant the guy who says he played Frollo. Wanted to know whether he sang in English or French.

  • but you answered to me I think... never mind. It was French I think, btw.

  • No, I pressed the "reply" thingy under his box... This site is weird.

But thanks for helping me out! And nice to meet you. :D

  • hmmm, becuase it contacted me and sent me an email. weird. O_o

    nice meeting you too! :D

  • He commands Quasimodo to capture her, thats right. But he try to rape her.She was nearly hanged, but Quasimodo save her.Frollo didn't know that. One night Frollo came to her room ,and he try to rape her.Quasimodo hear her screaming and save her.Frollo almoust kill him for that

  • HE DID?

  • It would be actually funny if Quasimodo seized her, like he did in the book lol

  • This song's title is "La tentative d'enlèvement"

  • hahahahaha mariellejpn, your comment made me giggle :)

  • It's called Tentative d'enlèvement.

  • LOL I would be scared out of my wits too if a huge hunchback was chasing me!
