Sorry for this OT question, but can anyone tell me how to get the side panel off an Acer M5200 tower? There is a little handle on the back, but I cannot get it to slide off. Yes, I have removed the screws required.

i have this computer let me tell you that this is worth every cent. this is a small computer but will run any game out on the market atm. theres been no troubles at all with this comp so far. ive had it for a little over a year and works like its brand new:D

decent for avg gaming. I do not reccomend this for gaming. You can play cod4 and w/e else. IF you add an extra video card to its pci-e slot you'll be able to run 2 video cards and your performance will increase.

not sure but if u put another low profile video card im sure you'll be able to run it. I reccomend the galaxy geforce 9600gt low power low profile. I use it and it is good for avg gaming. I play cod4 at max settings with 60 fps avg

If you want a gaming PC, never buy an Acer PC. Acer is for office use, are fast computers, nice CPUs, nice RAM, but almost all haves dedicated graphics card, wich is really bad for playing games.

It does run windows 7 with custom drivers for 64 bit though, so it's all good

its a very very good computer and it makes less noise !!!!

a perfect multimeda pc.

the sli mode of the graphics is cool, and it has also a bouns feature wich was not told in the vid here, it has a powersaving function, when you didnt need all the graphics power it only uses the internal graphics and saves over 45watt power by shouting the external graphic card down , if you start a game or need the power it automaticaly turns the external graphics on

CS 1.6 will run on a very old computer as far as I know. And the source engine is well optomised so you should be able to play L4D with decent settings, but don't excpect anything spectacular from there.

Just keep in mind, pretty much every slimline computer has both trouble with airflow, and is fitted with entry-level graphics cards, and because of their PSU you can't add more even with the appropriate PCI slot. Basically, what you see is what you're going to have until you get a brand new computer.

Actually, I got this model of computer awhile back (although have upgraded it since then) and it's actually really good for gaming. Even with the standard setup it could run most games I played on max settings, and could run Crysis sort of decently. The graphics card I got with it wasn't too good, but once I upgraded it, it could run Crysis on very high no problem.

am going to come clean : i did little research. but the AMD quad cores have 4 out-puts or something along that line, while intel is all just 2 duo chips in one (slows things down) and am getting mixed reviews from geek squad. they claim that the AMD quad is better for gaming than the intel.

not many games are optimized for intel quad core yet, but if you want to be future-proof go woth intel quad core no doubt. (especially with the core i7)

the two-in-one processors aren't slowing the quad core down, or at least not by a lot. you can overclock an intel quad core to 4ghz (4ghz*2 because of 2 cores)and that beats AMD's 1.8ghz quad-core processors no doubt.

nope am not a fanboy of any company, i just like the best, and IMO AMD is thew best this gen, the AMD quad 'black edition' may not be able to do 4GH rigt out the box, but it is 3.6 GH right out the box. and its actualy a quad core, not two duos in one chip. i did a lot of snooping around befor going out to buy, and am gona go with the AMD black edition quad, because its the best
