Man i used to own this madness. Played the hell out of it. there is a secret area to the left of you at the start of the game. You need to enter the jump high run fast code ( forget the code and the cheat name it was over 10 years ago ) and then jump up into the left of the screen and it takes you to a secret area with all the weapons and lifes, you can play the whole game with the ED-209 gun.

I remember the auditions, exploding into blood, fucking sucked mate, why I got a can opener, sure the bullet wont hurt much but don't get too close to a fucking gun toting madman with a can opener. LOL. Story was straight forward with this game, was a movie in the works but got canceled I heard, sorta a shame.

This version was better in every aspect,the only detail is The auto 9 through all the game is left handed ,on snes is right handed (the correct sprite) and sound track lacks of good quality,But apart from that this is superior to the snes version.

I happen to own the original copy for my Sega Genesis and right at that part where you used the save state at, I basically got past that part without dying or using save states (since I have the original copy of the game itself and I rarely use emulators unless for reviewing purposes).

As far as the NES version what you have said, the NES version was a prototype that was never finished and/or released.

Here is a top tip man:

Never review a game if you have never finished it or gotten to the end.
