The financial industry got extremely greedy & started pushing credit on people like crazy. Now they are in a pickle because the people don't have the $ to pay it back. Credit should not be extended based on credit score alone. There must be rules by which lenders have to adhere by. If banks went back to making serving the customer as their main focal point the sales will come, based on integrity & honesty, not on falsifying lending documents to get people qualified.

The financial industry got extremely greedy & started pushing credit on people like crazy. Now they are in a pickle because the people don't have the $ to pay it back. Credit should not be extended based on credit score alone. There must be rules by which lenders have to adhere by. If banks went back to making serving the customer as their main focal point the sales will come, based on integrity & honesty, not on falsifying lending documents to get people qualified.

I disagree, large corporations provide us with some great stuff. You need large corporations for certain things. I am sure that since you want smaller businesses that you refuse to go to wal-mart, k mart, sears, newegg, amazon, etc.
AT&T, the staple for anti-trust law break ups. They provided us with the transistor, radio astronomy, the laser, UNIX, C, the first system to produce Sound and Film at the same time, and has contributed to many more technologies that we use today.

It was all BS, Greenspan was wrong. It was pervasive, everyone took part in it and there should have been more enforcement to prevent our current crisis. The tech bubble of the 90's wasn't so bad b/c at least we got the internet and fiber optic cables around the world. Now we have flat screen tvs and debt.

Regulation is not what caused the problem.
Bad loans and the lack of free market economics is what caused this crisis.
When you give loans to people who cant pay them,, and tell banks theyre RISKLESS and need LESS THAN 2% capital, this is what happens.
