@ux92 You have to go to the video options and change it from 'software' mode to 'opengl'.

@MAZZEKAARTS I don't have that option, maybe you're using GZDoom instead of ZDoom? I used GZDoom a lot and didn't have those glowing effects for fireballs nor lamps, just got it working in OpenGL and with smoother graphics.

@TheBruiserBros There's a Doom Launcher available which lets you use multiple wads at once. But I think you can just select all the wads you want to use (using Ctrl + Left Mouse), then drag them onto ZDoom or whatever.

Have you heard of Town Infection? That is my favourite you should try it if you haven't. It's got fun levels, amazing map making skills and a cool story line. :D

@halflifeman87 download a program called risen3d and it will turn your copy of doom into a fully rendered, 3d, hardware accelerated world. It will look better than the graphics in this vid. Check out some of the stuff online and see for yourself

@IRNatman the wad is basically the game file (theres doom, doom 2, and plutonia WADS). Using a program like zdoom, risen3d or prboom you can load multiple wad files into the launcher and the just pick which one you want to play and click launch. Easy peasy!

What port are you using? It look like some kind of GLDoom but i don't recall seeing blood effects from Blood when i had it (I have Zdoom now because i like classic look , Vanilla doesn't work properly on my new monitor). Anyway me too couldn't but recommend "Alien Vendeta".

If I had to pick a wad that was best, I would pick (NO NOT UTNT OR WOS OR KDIZD OR GVH DUMBASSES) Equinox by B.P.R.D. It had gameplay, it had class, it had the best music, it had the best levels. It showed how fun and awesome something could be without the need of 8,000 little sectors of detail. It was just impressive and everyone who says UTNT/kdizd/WOS, you still only play crap like COD and Halo, not how doom really is.

when i downloaded plutonia 1 a while back it screwed my tnt wad up , now levels are random , and they still look kewl . egg elevators with spining faces and stuff like taht , but no monsters . and exits are like all sorts , switches , doors , random tiles . most recently , a wolfenstein style hitler portrait , anyone know whats hapend ?

I love all of the new things everyone is making... but I think what people need to focus on is changing the gameplay or tweaking it away. I understand that its rather difficult to do, but it would still be interesting to see what people can do with the engine. Thats why I like Legacy of Suffering so much compared to other wads.
