  • Nobody's giving aid and comfort to the enemy. You're so consumed by domestic politics and culture warring that you seem to have lost sight of America's actual interests. Your problem, not mine. You folks lost the last election and you'll continue to lose, until you realize that the enemy is Osama bin Laden, not Nancy Pelosi.

  • HA! If anybody's "consumed by domestic politics and culture warring" it's the dishwater Dems IGNORING the fact that we're AT WAR and telegraphing to the enemy that all they have to do to win is wait. It's NOT in our interest to LOSE THE WAR.

  • Pussy faggot bitches? Sounds like you have some issues you might want to deal with.

  • What a douchebag weasle Reid is--he retreats and back pedals when QUOTED, and now we get the rest of the Bush haters telling us what he "meant to say." Where is the courage of his convictions? Dennis Kucinich is a freak of nature, but at least he doesn't run from what he says and votes for.

  • Reid is a traitor to America!

  • I honestly don't give a damn what I put down on my YouTube profile. My real name isn't Mr. Jewy either, just as I presume yours isn't GunnyoftheWorld. I'm happy for you that you have enough time to worry about such nonsense.

  • Because it was the first country on the list. I'm from the US, buddy.

  • VFW Urges Reid to Stop Defeatist Rhetoric

WASHINGTON, April 20, 2007--Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Commander-in-Chief Gary Kurpius is urging Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to stop his defeatist rhetoric because of the negative impact it is having on the morale of American forces and their families.

  • Reid - the dumb political power jerk that he is - finds himself revealing that he cares more about the terrorists and his comrades in dishonor in the democrap party than the American people. The democraps and reid should be ashamed but better yet should be brought to an accounting for their treachery in the next election! I await that glorious day...

  • Reid misspoke. The US hasn't lost the war. The Administration lost the war. The United States and her troops have done everything asked. The Administration failed us.

  • Unbelievable comment. You are saying that this war is lost. My son in law is on a carrier right now in the Gulf. When he gets back home he'd probably like to kick your defeatist *ss. I am not pleased with how the war has been prosecuted, but Reid's rhetoric and your rhetoric is not when our troops and our enemies need to hear. Do you realize how much damage it does? Or don't you care because you just want to attack the commander in chief?

  • It's the truth, regardless of whether it's something the troops want to hear. I don't think we should lie to our troops or to the American People just because it's an unpleasant truth. After four years of insurgency, Iraq is less stable than ever and America's presence is less welcome than ever in Iraq. Bush screwed up, the country will suffer, but we can't change that.

  • I disagree, if we made things worse, then why can't we make them better.Bush is not perfect, and he's not hte one who fucked things up in Iraq, the candidated for democratic nomination in '04 had alot to do with the positive support terrorists around the world have felt.

  • So kind of you, Chuckie Schumer and the Dem PR flaks posing as the media are here to tell us what Reid meant, but many of us heard Harry ourselves, and so did our troops and the enemy. His defeatism is proof he hates Bush more than the enemy, and that his party would like to see the US LOSE in order to gain some domestic political advantage. 6 years of war and 7 of occupation were needed to rid Europe of Hitler and build a peaceful Germany--thank God people like Harry weren't involved.

  • We haven't lost the war because Harry Reid has said we've lost the war, we've lost the war because we've lost the war. You've got your head too far up your ass to see that. This is about recognizing reality, not about domestic politics.

  • jewy - How many battles has the United States lost in Iraq?

  • Zero, but that's an utterly irrelevant question. You don't lose guerrilla wars by losing pitched battles.

  • No, you lose guerilla wars be running away from the fight and ceding the battlefield to the enemy. An enemy who's promised more 9/11s and would now have Iraq's oil wealth to finance those not-idle threats. That's how Nancy P and Harry would like to make the US lose this this war. Hey troops, all your sacrifices were for nothing! We're GIVING Iraq to the enemy!

  • Brinson - It all boils-down to the liberal press telling us how badly the war in Iraq is going. The main reason is this liberal press has always hated President Bush. He could accomplish an excellent job and this bias press would still tear him down.

  • He could accomplish an excellent job, but he hasn't. You really think that Iraq is safer today than it was one year ago, let alone four? Do you really have your head that far in the sand? You really think Iraq is more stable? 3381 uniformed Americans are dead, and somewhere north of 25,000 are seriously wounded. Add to that several hundred dead contractors. Are those numbers creations of the liberal media? If all we're hearing is liberal spin, what's the truth?

  • It's a WAR, kid. Those VOLUNTEERS knew what they were getting into, and the "we've lost the war" shreik comes from cowards like Harry Reid, not from the troops or command. A number of police & firefighters will lose their lives in the line of duty every year--so let's disband the police and FD to save their lives.

  • No, you lose guerilla wars when you don't have achievable objectives. Right now, virtually all Iraqis want us out. Iraq will be a very big problem for years to come if we get out, but it will be even more a problem is we stay. We're going to leave sooner or later, the only question is, are we going to do it now, or after we've spent billions more and lost thousands of additional lives? The invasion of Iraq is a tragic blunder, the consequences of which we'll be dealing with for decades.

  • "virtually all Iraqis want us out" What is your source for that warm, steaming, fly-buzzed pile of "argument"? You have it exactly backwards--if we CEDE Iraq to the strongest Jihadi horse, THEN Iraq becomes pre-9/11 Afghanistan with oil revenue, and THEN we'll know what "problems" are. Running away from this enemy is a non-starter, and you look foolish even suggesting it.

  • jewy - Then, by your own logic, we should be taking our fight to those supplying the guerrillas with weapons. Good idea...bomb,bomb,bomb...bomb Iran.

  • WWII wasn't over on 12/7/41 and we'd lost 2500 killed. It wasn't over when we invaded France on 6/6/44 and another 2500 were killed, or on Iwo Jima (7,000 KIA) or Okinawa (12,000 KIA). You're not a history major, are you? Didn't think so. Good of you and Reid to concede defeat, but you don't speak for those of us who have a clue and realize defeat is not an option with this enemy.

  • Actually, my undergrad major WAS history. The War in Iraq is nothing even remotely like WWII. The military won the pitched battles against the Iraqi Army in 2003. Right now it's stuck in the middle of a civil war between a number of hostile factions, and the only thing all sides can agree on is that they want us out. That's not anything like WWII. It's also not the kind of situation that our troops are trained or equipped to deal with. They've done their job, and it's time to get out.

  • Sure, just cede the battlefield to the enemy, and Nancy P and Harry Reid will let them know exactly when they can move in. Successful anti-insurgency campaigns take an average of 10 years, which you'd know if you were a WELL READ history major. The populace is SHUNNING the insurgents, not supporting them. Funny how Harry backtracked after his "the war is lost" was QUOTED. Running from a fight with Al Qaeda is what Harry & Nancy are about.

  • Brianson - jewy, may very well be a history major. However, have you seen who has been teaching history in our colleges and Universities? One grand child informed me that it was FDR who was responsible for the Japanese attacking Pearl Harbor.

  • Very likely given his age--he still thinks he knows everything because he's read 100 books and he's young. When he's lived a lot longer and has read 1000 books that weren't assigned, he'll still have a lot to learn if they're by the the same blame Uncle Sam first crowd that have the poor child convinced we're losing this war.

  • Brinson - We were told exactly the same thing in Viet Nam...that we were loosing the war. I remember kicking the ass of the Viet Cong, only to be told, by our liber media, that we were loosing.

  • See, I remember the "liberal" media telling us that we couldn't leave Vietnam because if we did, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and the Phillipines would all fall to the Commies and the next thing you'd know, we'd be speaking Chinese and Russian. Glad to see that prediction was so spot-on. If you had less of a chip on your shoulder, maybe you'd stop fighting your 40-year-old culture war and would actually look at our situation in Iraq somewhat objectively.

  • What BS. You "remember" that from the early 70s, several years before you were BORN if your age isn't ALSO BS. Where do Laos' Shinging Path guerillas, Pol Pot, the Cambodian Killing Fields, all the Vietnamese boat people and "re-education camp" inmates figure into your revision of history?

  • Brinson - One more thing...7,000 KIA on Iwo Jima. If this figure were presented against President Bush, the liberal media would be crying for Bush's impeachment...Oh wait, there are some liberals that are already doing that.

  • How about if present day libs were in charge during the Bulge--I bet our "history major" didn't know that more than HALF of US casualties in the ETO occured in 1945. Nancy P & Harry would have let Hitler KEEP Europe, just like John F'n Kerry voted to let Saddam keep Kuwait in 1990. Appeasement never works.

  • Brinson - kerry, reid and pilosee all need to go live in a country where there is no freedom of speech. These liberal clowns need to work as average citizens, away from our freedoms, and find-out what the world is really like. They then can talk about appeasements!

  • The Japanese attacked us on December 7, 1941. When you have a minute, please remind me when it was, exactly, that the Iraqis attacked us.

  • jewy - 1st, let me remind you that the war with Iraq, was really not about 911, but about an individual who had attacked his neighbors, murdered his own people with WMD's and refused to abide by, his agreements that he would abide by the UN resolutions.

2nd, after all of Hussein's reign of terror and his attempt to rebuild his arsenal of weapons, we had every right for a preemptive strike.

  • Saddam Hussein was an awful human being, one of the worst tyrants imagineable. And you know what? Iraq would still have been better off if we hadn't invaded. George Bush has done the nearly impossible -- he's managed to make Saddam look good. That's a disgrace.

  • jewy - You started off so well..."Saddam Hussein was an awful human being, one of the worst tyrants imaginable." But then, your next thought is like saying that we shouldn't have invaded Germany, because FDR & Truman have now made Hitler "...look good." Do you have any idea how many people he murdered or is responsible for having murdered? I'll let you do the research, I already have. If after you come-back with the correct numbers then we will discuss...

  • Again, FDR and Truman were on somewhat stronger footing becausse they (1) were dealing with someone who had actually declared war on the United States, and (2) they actually had competent plans for the post-war environment. Comparing Bush of all people to FDR or Truman is the biggest joke imagineable.

I do have an idea about how many people Hussein murdered. Do you have any idea about how many Iraqis have died since they were "liberated?" Do you care?

  • Jewy - As I told you before, I already have the numbers. However, I'll give you one other number for you to research, since you are going in that direction...How many civilians have been murdered by the "So Called, insurgences?" Actually, terrorists.

  • Hey kid, you ARE aware that AQ and ANY NUMBER of jihadist sects have been trumpeting that they'd like to "kill the Great Satan" for the last 30 years, right? You'd prefer Saddam was still killing Iraqis for kicks while supporting terror & harboring terrorists.

  • Yeah, right--Saddam & Sons rape rooms, explosive vests & 25K checks to Palestinian suicide bombers, harboring and supporting terror, mass graves of his political opposition--whole families. The good old days, right?

  • How about I remind you that Abu Nidhal & Abu Abbas spent their last years as Saddam's guests, and according to CNN 2/13/99, OBL was offered asylum there, 17 UN resolutions violated & explosive vests & 25K checks to Palestinian suicide bombers. LA Times also quotes pro-jihad items in Iraq's state media from the early 80's.

  • Brinson - There ya go. Your doing it again...Your trying to confuse him with the facts. Plus, your typing way too fast.
