Nice video, ugly horse. Boggs had his throat latch 'lifted' when he was a yearling and tattooed the eyes of other horses. Yes, not just the skin around the eyes, the actual eyeball to 'fix' whites. That horse that had the procedure done is now partially blind.

Not only are the altered, but a lot of his babies got his mean personality.

He doesn't even have that nice of a head and their claim to his 'endurance' is false. No endurance racer can have that long of a back and lack of a barrel.

If I were ever to buy a horse without seeing it, over the internet like some people do, and they sent me this thing, I'd ring them up and tell them they made a mistake, that they sent me a f*ckin giraffe.like the video, do not like the horse. There are WAY nicer horses out there. Magnum's just a face. What has happened to show ring Arabs? Its total German Shepherd syndrome. Useful, tough little horses turned into hideous dolls. I'll take Monogramm any day...worse marketing, better horse.

This is a GORGEOUS horse but David Boggs standing him just makes me sick! He left a whip mark on him and yet still took him into the stallion class at Scottsdale and yet he won! This is a gorgeous horse, but bc he's with Boggs, I will NEVER breed to him.

I own an uncle of Magnum Psyche; Arabians are magnificent creatures and they are very versatile. Anyone who says they can't be used for much obviously doesn't know them very well. My Spanish Arabian is a three-year Grand Champion jumper as well as a prize-winning hunter and dressage horse. See my videos. :)

And also how many people actually ride hard enough that it matters, horses have become pets. Why have an ugly pet that can run really fast for a quarter mile?

Particular breeds dominate in particular areas. Conformation will either work with you or against you regardless of the breed. Some Arabians make great performance horses, just like some do not. The same can be said for Quarter Horses or any breed under the sun.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I've always thought halter classes were suppose to be an evaluation of breeding animals, and not a class of it's own? What good is a horse if you can't ride him? I'm reminded of the qh halter horses that are so genetically diseased (think the stallion JUSTIFY) and misshapen they will never be able to be riding horses.....

They still evolve , there bodies capabilities have evolved , there movement , there necks and heads . the don't to me i hate saddlebreds and a saddlebred to an arab is very different . no not this particular horse . you see there are sport horse halter horses with a bigger bone content and the halter horses who are of a slightly smaller and leaner build . no they do things like western , park , English , equitation , dressage and etc .

just a clarification here Magnum neck is long and that is not a bad thing . As the breed progress's so does its ability;s and looks . when you look at the foundation of 50 years ago and then now drastic changes have occurred much for the better . Because just like pople horses evolve . And as a second thing Magnum is also a leading sire in Western pleasure horses and is a fabulous mover . so yes in this case you can ride a "Pretty Face "

Yes...its a shame they look like stretchy saddlebreds that have been clubbed in the nose. THey might conform to the Arabian show world but there's a great deal of people who think they look hideous...and a great deal of them cant do jack squat except prance round and look pretty. Some of us like our horses...you know...USEFUL.

I agree with you. Too many Arab horses' backs are too long and so are their necks. Their cannons are supposed to be a bit shorter too. If someone wants that look then they should get a Saddlebred. Breeders need to read, then BREED to the standard. Too many westerners have messed with the gene pool. I prefer the 'preservation' breeders' horses...also in the Quarter Horse and Morgan breeds.

Yep, sadly the Arab show world is all makeup now, and they really are turning into saddlebreds (and hackneys, with the likes of the Afire's...although at least they can DO something). I do enjoy these vids but Magnum is certainly not my favourite. Beautiful face, but you cant ride the face, can you? Dnt no much about quarter horses (am in the UK), but the show ones look hideous with all those muscles!! If you havent already, you should check out the Crabbet arabians...pretty and also useful!

They are very beautiful horses. I love the Padron line faces and necks, but too long for my liking.I feel Fausto is taking the long back too far. Its personal preference though, over in UK where Im from Arabs are shorter backed so its what I'm used to. I like the traditional look ;). look at Najim El Arabs videos and the Mankind video (SDK Halentino) they are lovely too. And Al Lahab's video is gorgeous...I just love watching them move! And their faces are enchanting!
