Couldn't agree more with your comments,The Ex Simple Minds boys are in Germany touring,at the moment...if you search around you'll find some clips from some of their latest gigs.
I think I would much prefer to see these perform the early Simple Minds songs on the forthcoming 5X5 tour, rather than Kerr, Burchill and co.
Both have two original members of SM, it is clear which one puts in drive into SM early songs....Kerr and co. make early minds post punk songs sound like the rest of their bland stadium rock.
