The 4x2 can get over 30MPH and the 4x4 around 28mph. I have talked with people that say in higher elevation/colder climates they get even better mileage. There's some logic to this because in the summer you can force the air-conditioning to run in nonhybrid mode. it is an option on the air-conditioning heating panel. however it's not fair to rate these cars just by mileage. Remember they don't burn gas when they sit at a stoplight for a long period of time even though you're not moving.
