yes it does, pannel in the basement, wired up to the 3rd floor threw 1st & 2nd floors, I have a wire tracer & I know how to use it, it's not the pulling wires that I'm trying to avoid it's that I just finished all the drywall & taping & paint, this is an after thought(not mine) I'd of planned it in to the original job, I'm a drywallguy by trade but theres pretty much nothing to do with your house I can't fix, I also have 5 welding tickets for those railing repairs, thanks for your quick replies
@truesprocket The three wires are pulled from floor to floor 14/3, power black and white, red interconnects the smoke alarms. So the link is the red wire. The ground is just a ground to protect appliance. Does that make sense to you? I have to say, I am not an electrician and would not pull wires on my own. I would hire an electrician.
@truesprocket This home is already prewire for these types of smoke alarms. If you are wanting a wired smoke alarm and your house is not prewired I would suggest calling in an electrican to wire your home. When you purchase your smoke alarms I would suggest making sure you buy one with a back up battery in it.
@TammyFlores1 i got it the instructions made it look like you connect the black to white but after watching a few videos it looked like the consensus was white/white black/black. so that's what i did and it works!! wahooooo i should be an electrician ;D. just call big jim for all your electrical needs.
lol okay you fooled me :) Now can you show me how to mount a tv on the wall and replace the O ring or whateevr its called from a toilet? Those are jobs I got to do when I get back at some point :)
@Urgo6667 LOL... Is your toilet leaking? Are you planning on the wax or plastic one? If you use the plastic one don't forget the plumbers putty LOL. I have never mounted a TV to the wall, but I am sure it isn't to difficult. I want to see the video when you do it.
@TammyFlores1 I am one person and have three toilets in my house so I've just had it shut off for a year but yes its leaking when its on :) I have been just delaying it forever since I don't really NEED it :) As for the TV I delayed that because I've been in phoenix for more time then not since I got it and the mounts are bloody expensive!
@Urgo6667 A year? And I thought I was bad for procastinating LOL. There's just so many things to prioritize sometimes that little things like that get forgotten, but it feels good once it's done. It's so quiet in here now. I wonder if Kiji would have the mounts. I have found things cheap there before. It's just creepy when you have to meet them sometimes. I do it in a public place like a coffee shop.
@just1it1moko i just graduated medical school and im takin a fuckin break ive been in school for like 22 years and i think i disserve a little break before i get a day job so you can suck it
