Well my Schecter obviously didn't go through this quality control as my finish was horrible. They had obviously not cleaned it properly before applying the gloss. So i had immovable black marks dotted all over the place. Not to mention 2 chips in the paint. The shop i bought it from is happily replacing it, im hoping my new one doesn't suffer those problems. I'm just baffled how they would let this product ship after going through so much "quality control".

I have Les Paul and an es-339 (custom shop). and Im telling ya, my Schecter C1+ competes. It has the fastest action -- by far -- than the gibsons, the sound competes with the Les Paul, but it does not equal the 339 in tone -- but who does that surprise? Its a great guitar -- remember, the Duncan designed pups are JB;s on the bridge and Jazz on the neck -- nice. For the money - 599 -- a no brainer

I love my Schecter, it was set up perfectly for me, only thing I wanted changed was so I can do drop tunings and I put GHS 9 1/2 strings on it. I got a Damien 6 FR and soon to havve a Damien Elite Avenger FR, can't wait. I'm also going to get that guitar set up for drop tunings. I like that they have Ernie Ball 10's now though.

i have a few schecters. my omen 6 isn't the nicest playing yet its still solid. i spitfire 6 and c-1 play great!! my advice is to skip past the cheapest of the line and start somewhere around the damien series or better.

I have a litte frett buzz on my low E string,but it only showed up after replacing the original strings so I dont think its Schecters fault I just need to adjust it for my choice of string,beyond that the action is a little high for alot of players that I know but its the way I set mine,I like it that way(just me I guess) but the intonation was perfect and you could use the neck as a straight edge!Schecter really hits it out of the park on these guitars!

I have a Schecter Hellraiser C-1 FR. Unfortunately it seems to have fallen through the cracks of these "rigorous quality control process". Fret buzz out of the box. No signature on the approval sticker on the back nor any name or signature on the warrenty/set-up & inspected by card.

I've done the set-up myself since I alternate tune anyway. But be warned about the "rigorous" process they claim for each and every Diamond Series. It is good marketing.

It is a nice guitar though.

My Schecter 12 string came out of the box with perfect action. But the inout jakc was loose so I tightened it and it works great. Schecter is just a damn good company. Most companies wont set up the guitar this well. Especially at this price range.

my damien FR had a sticker on it, but there was buzz on the a and b string, the input jack was loose, and one of the tuning pegs was loose..

i have one too (not the fr though) my input jack was loose, the grooves in the nut were wayyy to low and when i changed the strings they literaly layed on the neck of the guitar( i got the nut replaced and the guy re aligned my neck but there is still excessive buzz on the low e and a strings) , the neck pickup DOES NOT EVEN WORK! unless i toggle the selector switch back and forth a few times. Its just a piece of shit guitar \, no doubt about it

I have two schecters: A Tempest PT "Aviation Series" that I swapped real Seymour Duncan pickups into and a C1 Hellraiser FR and they both came with signed stickers and were setup. My only problem was that the Floyd Rose was setup for Medium strings in standard tuning and I had to change a little to use Skinny Top Heavy Bottoms in drop C. I have to say I love my schecters!

I bought an Omen 6 3 days ago, and it had no sticker either. Action was too low, input jack was badly soldered and some frets were buzzing. After about 2 hours of handymanship the guitar came alive and it's just awesome now:) But I don't think that I should be the one to do these jobs...

I do agree most of the guitars at GC are all out of whack as far as the setup goes. But, The Damian of a year or so ago was very cheaply made. It felt a lot like a Squire bullet. No weight to it, crappy fit and finish, just a poorly made instrument in general. I can't speak for the new line, I would like to try the Damien elite.
