  • I love how gorey this is! It's almost on the same level as Day Of The Dead

  • did you know the guy removing the organs was actually a heart surgeon but quit to join monty python i have also noticed he has done lots of the medical scenes seems a little ironic but what am i saying he's freaking hillarious just like the rest the person writing the comment is a 12 year old kid so yeah.

  • So disturbing. Hated this scene as a kid, but it's actually pretty funny now lol

  • It's one of those sketches that makes feel slightly ashamed for laughing at it. Absolutely brilliant.

  • I love how Terry J's character is totally unconcerned about her husband's disembowlment.

  • That was nothing. its more disturbing some one felt it was that bad that they flagged.

  • That's it?

People have been telling me this is one of the sickest scenes in film history!

    I found it fine...

Meaning of Life certainly isn't as dark and disturbing as people make it to be!

  • I applaud you.. the voice of common sense.

  • My bad.. I meant to click reply, but I missed & removed your previous comment.. :-s Lousy laser mouse! But to answer the deleted comment [is meaning of life my favourite python?]... It's a tough 1, My favourite clip would be a close call between this & upper class twit of the year, but for the whole movie in terms of non stop idiocy it's a close call between life of brian & the holy grail - but I love em all!

  • Mine would be either Life of Brian or Holy Grail.

But I think Meaning of Life is quite under-rated

  • I hear u.. although I've always liked the pythons there was a time that I found the meaning of life disappointing... probably because it required me to think!

  • Same here. I first saw Meaning of Life about 4 years ago. Since I was expecting something along the lines of Life of Brian or Holy Grail, I was turned off by it.

But now that I've seen it again, my opinion is quite different. It may not be as good as the first two, but what could be?

It's also the most thoughtful of their films.

  • the best part is that the person who flagged it probably liked the mention of taking life more than giving it.

  • Why the hell was this video flagged?

Anyways, Monty Python is an absolute genius. Thanks for posting this.

  • You're welcome - and very good question. It seems to me that people enjoy finding new things to be offended by to the point that it becomes more af a compulsion than a hobby.

Seriously, I find their constant whinging offensive but I don't usually cry about it - and I'll always respect their right to do it without interference, so why can't they show the same courtesy?

  • Well, I guess there will always be people out there paranoid enough to consider every video that shows even the slightest amount of, for lack of a better word, "adult" content offensive and therefor flaggable.

It's a shame, really. I've seen some really funny/interesting videos on youtube(such as this video)that have been flagged and yet have hardly any objectionable content in them. I guess we'll just have to bear with until youtube realizes they fraked up somewhere in the flagging system.

  • By far, the best Monty Python are not the movies, but their weekly skids they did.

  • absolute genius, you either get it or write ridiculously long comments that amount to saying i dont like this.

thanks pjvenner for keeping the pythons in the limelight.

  • Terry Jones makes a very ugly woman, LOL

  • why the fuck would you ever say this is inapropriate??

  • Some poor dears are just too oversensitive it seems. May their sense of humour Rest in Peace.

  • {this was on last night]

  • Why are people having such a fucking problem with this? It's fucking hilarious, and it's not NEARLY as gory as some other things on the Internet.

Of course I was able to watch the puppy and kitten squishing videos without even batting an eye, so nothing really affects me.

But this is besides the point, which is "If you think that this is anything less than genius, if you think this is disturbing and not funny, get the FUCK off of the Internet. And, out of life, if possible."

  • I thought this would be sick before I started watching, but ...Jeez!

  • Depends if Gilliam was the one dying. If not it's horrible!

  • oh man, i love monty python, but the digging around in his guts bit is unnessesary!!! ...I am totally in love with the galaxy song.. i cnt believe it.

  • watch when they come into the kitchen beside john clease look in the mirror type thing to his left

  • Well obviously...

  • Is that supposed to be a window? I never noticed that before. I guess that goes for a lot of Python skits, though. See something different every time you watch it.

  • u cant c the blood spurting out on this

  • And they say they don't hlike punchlines...

  • this is so hilarious yet so disturbing.

  • This is so funny, too bad that it's so difficult to understand the British Accent. But British humor rocks!

  • You should listen to more, it's not THAT different. (Seeing as you enjoy it and all.)

  • "but im useing it" lol

  • love the dark humour.

  • You're not wrong. If it was any sicker I probably would have died laughing!

  • HAHA, as punchlines go it's rather cheesy, but it still creased me up. Those python boys are pure comic genius!

  • Well, the whole point of Monty Python was to go without punchlines entirely.

  • "Makes you feel insignificant..." "Yeah...can we have your liver then?" "Alright youve talked me into it" lol
