yea the forward roll at 1:07 is David LaVera, Professional stunt man. As to why he didn't shoulder roll....you'd have to ask him. Capability-wise, though, he's one of the best in the group.
Yeah the only bad touch was the guy rolling at 1:07 ... If I saw it right he rolled completely over his back. Damn, didn't it hurt when he landed? Ok, perhaps the ground wasn't that hard but on a road or anything else he would hurt himself for sure... Before you let someone make such jumps get sure that he can land safely and without thinking about what he is doing...
some of you really need to work on your technique! some landings are horrible and the drops are way too high! 1:08...i dont need to say anything more to that!
Some of the landings look hard because PKLA primarily teaches newcomers the basics, so until they really learn to land properly, they land a little hard. As for the drops being to high, that all depends on who is jumping. The only people who do those drops are the more experienced ones.Just because a drop is to far for you, doesn't mean it's to far for someone else.
As for the legality of rooftop running, I'm not sure where you're from, but in California, with everyone as Sue-Crazy and liability paranoid as they are, pretty much everything Parkour or Free Running oriented is illegal in some manner. We also train a lot in a gymnasium first. You can't run without taking risks. Thank you for your input, however, and keep running as well.
first of all, thank you for the explanation. normally i only hear "shut up u noob" when i critizise someone.
well, hard landings and improper rolls (as they are showen in this vid) are unhealthy and shouldnt be done at all.
what you said about drops is true but only if the jumper is able to absorb the impact correctly like doing a correct roll, not like 1:08, looks more like a summersault (dunno whether its the right word, my english is bad)
Oh shit! Fuck me! Its funny because I also the song "Headstrong" by Trapt in my video "Parkour At School (MHS) Monterey Highlands", awesome vid you guys by the way!:)
I feel it's got the right energy for the way most of the video's are shot. It's also one of the only songs that is used a lot with Parkour vids that doesn't get old after a while lol.
Very nice video! Greetings from Brazil.
