im against smoking but it wouldn't be a bad thing in beatboxing because you aren't exercising, you are breathing slightily abnormaly but not giving your heart and lungs a workout, smoking hurts you most in exercising because it demands an exagerated efort from your lungs and heart, say like walking, a smoker will not have to much of a problem walking a long distances but he will if he tries to jog there, good beatboxer can control theyr air suply almost as if they were breathing normaly

Not really, i smoked when i started out with beatboxing 4 years or so ago. I smoked for 15 years. So not like 1 week smoker then stopped.

I stopped a good year ago. It does not matter much and why? Simply because smoking does NOT lower your voice (a cold does for instance) its just a urban myth.

I have more air now, but beatboxing is nothing more then instruments the make me capeable of breathing. Mainly the inward snares are ment for that.

It does not matter much for preformance.

The only difference i witnessed is that tha with outward snare use i can do more and faster because of the extra air in my lungs. Im capeable of more powerfull in/exhales then before.

Smoking is just a nasty habit, im NOT a anti smoker here. But when i stopped and stand next to smokers. The stink, it sounds like im provoking. I'm not the really do, its just a nasty habit.

I hope ppl like roxor find a way to leave tabacco alone. The lungs will fail one day, and thats no joke :C
