Will serve with a big something. Don't even need to turn on the radar and emit radiation. Only the size is going to be a hit one shot only. Always great and stupidly believed Communist.
US helped China in WW2,id like to see China and the USA become the closest of friends, unlike the remarks being posted here by children.Long live US and Chinese relations.
Yeah, that's why retarded Americans are a laughing stock worldwide; your army is now doing the same with CIWS mounted on truck in Afghanistan to protect against incoming heavy mortars or katyushas, yet when its the chinese you say "gooks trying to be impressive". How typical of an uneducated, incompetent retard. Search the keywords Phalanx Iraq and Afghanistan and then get a clue.
Not sure about it being a Russian copy. Looks like a Goalkeeper CIWS ship defense gun on a truck.. A bit like how the US Army tried putting a Phalanx on a trailer
@PhantomP63 It's a copy of european and American radars with a copy of an American gun. The Chinese antiaircraft units are almost entirely foreign-designed weapons the Chinese stole and copied. The only naturalized vehicles they have are a few trucks and chassises, a 14.5mm MG, and a single heavy antiaircraft gun from the 50s.
@redreaper2020 Yeah and Great China Wall is a copy of Pyramids, only a little longer and more vertical but all identical idea and you know, cheap labor.
@krbosak China didn't copy the pyramids brick for brick. That's what they do with foreign military equipment. Part-for-part copies of the Crotale, trucks, engines, humvees, radar units, tanks...
You will find the exact same parts, down to the size of the rivets and the tire treads. They copy. They do not innovate, they copy.
@redreaper2020 I am software engineer and tell you this is a bullshit.
All modern armament has some firmware, which is created in one-way process called compilation from human-readable source code. Now if they change the smalles thing, like composition of black powder, changinc projectile speed, they have change some parts of the control system. And they cannot, since they dont have source.
3.) their MO is to hack computers or negotiate with companies long enough to get a copy of something, then reverse-engineer it and copy it. Parasitic military development.
@redreaper2020 So my explanation says they are at least capable of making they own software and firmware, WHICH IS EVERYTHING in air defence systems.
Your theory of sub-micron copycats is jealous ranting of overrated western society, unable to lead technology anymore, this is a fact, simply beacuse you will not find on earth the original bolt-to-bolt identical western nor russian, japanes, whatever system like the one presented. The smalles difference means they have to invent.
@krbosak disassemble a Chinese humvee. Disassemble an old American one. The chinese one has a different exterior grille housing. The American one has better quality.
I'd urge you to look into the story of hte Tu-4 bomber. That's hwo the Chinese operate, the same way the Russians did with the B29, but they do it with EVERYTHING.
It`s only a gatlinggun with tracking radar, not a CIWS,not a AA,it lacks the range on a modern battlefield,no search radar so it can`t operate independent .It`s probably part of missile defencesystem for the protection of high value targets like airfields, powerplants etc...
Thanks US for not selling weapons to PRC like India, otherwise the Chinese will not work hard to develop their weapons and build up the fundamental for future progress. Chinese have stopped inventing for many many years. Like the Fire Powder, Paper, Compass....etc. Just any one of them has already changed the world. Future is waiting for new invention. Thanks US again.
CHINESE BEHAVIOR TODAY IS LIKE A MON---KEY ALL OF SUDDEN , FEELING IT WANT TO RULE THE BACKYARD

It definitely would not be able to keep up with the armored forces it is suppose to protect due to it's poor all terrain abilities. It should only really be used to stop mortar & rocket attacks.
It kind of reminds me of the US Centurion which uses the Phalanx.
@arronlee33 it is not easy to install any armour on wheeled truck without risking it will tumble on muddy road. Not on a system that has to change position upon 15min notice. The system is as it is, unarmored, has own sensors, easy to find when active, heavily armed.
@Basti6814 You porefer Gepard, I prefer 4 Pantsirs for the same price, of 10 Chinese Shit as depicted, for the same price. Even if it can only fire in 180deg zone.
@Basti6814 With the extra armor, radar, and engine size you lose ammunition capacity, range and greatly increase cost. This is a low cost platform that can be networked with larger radar than the Gepard possesses. The Gepard was developed for a different task at a different time.

@redreaper2020 "they do. You could decompile it,"
Man, you have no clue about what 'decompiling' yields.
I think you have no clue about complex embedded system engineering and it shows.
I told you, compilation for all practical purposes is a one-way process.
I think that ends a discussion because you are not learning, just claiming. I did my homework.

@Basti6814 Main unit is tracking radar and perhaps thats why they mounted on a truck but really truck is too big for a Vulcan rotary gun like this.
Might be a mobile battlefield command and control station protected with a rotary gun.
Usually battlefield command and control stations are unprotected and need to be escorted with anti air defenses and infantry fighting vehicles.
Certainly the size of the box behind the gun is huge and has something.
