A few more interesting facts: they turned the owner's back porch into Sam's bedroom temporarily and even sprayed the outside of his house with grind up animal bone to give his house and even older look!
This guy didn't investigate some of these locations very well. The garage behind him on Atlantic Ave. was in fact there before. It is the shelter to the left of him that they built fake walls around to make look like a boat house, which they tore down after filming; however, the door to the left of the garage was an add-on so that may be where he got this mixed up...they aged the wood of the addition to seamlessly blend with the aged two-car garage that was already built.
