  • I Live In Gibson. I Live Down The Road From Where This Video Was Taken, Thank God All Of Our Prayers Worked~

  • I want to thank all of the companies, the fire departments, and all of the people that helped build the Levy's, and did all of the preparations to hold off the flooding. All of the work did work out. We did not flood and the flood gates worked like they were supposed to. Thank you to all, for without your help, we would have surely flooded. Working together for a common cause gives our community unity, for we care about each other. Bless you all.

  • Now we wait. Flood or no flood is the question. Better to be prepared than not to be prepared at all. Nature is funny that way. We may not need the boat, but will leave it tied to the front porch anyway for awhile. LOL

  • @playerhater432 you faggot you didnt

make that up you got it from the Internet, and that's not funny, how would you like to lose almost all of your belongings and your house to a huge flood faggot

  • @Buzzedman44 It is okay. Playerhater432 got a smile off of his post. At times like this, small things don't bother us. I am glad the flood is taking longer to get to us. Everyone has worked hard, day and night until the mosquitoes start searching for us.LOL They have built up levy's, everywhere around here trying to save as much of the area as they can. It is really amazing how the local governments, businesses, and people have worked together, maybe less water now. Thanks

  • I used to have a truck like that...then my mom got a job!!!

  • I live in Louisiana O.o

  • Can some body tell me Wat da fuck is goin on

  • @ceonote1 we do not even know yet. We are just preparing for the worst, and hoping for less. This is the first time since 1973 that they have opened the Morganza Spillway, and the land has changed over the years. Also the land is dry and soaking up some of the water, since we have not had a lot of rain lately. That is good. They have put up a lot of little levies, of different sorts, and are working around the clock to try to control the flood waters. We just sit and wait.

  • Whoa so if it is over 5 ft you will die??

  • @Pitbuller956 no, I have been practicing the back stroke. LOL we will not die, unless we get careless. We are prepared.to the best of our ability. We would lose our trailer, but we have tents to move into until we can get back on our feet. Peace and Love

  • them kids must like minecraft.

  • @Goronixz LOL

  • What flood

  • @Pitbuller956 The flood that is supposed to reach us soon. It is a planned flood on our communities to save the larger cities and populations. They opened up several spillways in Southern Louisiana, but the water is flowing slower than expected. They have not opened up the Morganza Spillway since 1973, so they are not really sure what will happen or how much water we will get. We just prepare and sit back and wait for the water. hope it is no more than 5 ft. any more than 5ft we go under.

  • Texas is desparate for rain.Dry as a bone.

  • @HoustonCabbie Wish I could dig a canal your way and divert some of this water. I would gladly share it with you,LOL

  • as a kid growing up as the oldest was really hard cuz i got put with the bad side of all hard time like a flood or the cold but you letting them be kids really means alot it wouldve ment alot to me i know that i dont usally say ths because im agnostic but i also have respect so god bless my thought will be with you guys

  • There's no God to save you from this one, much luck in your own preparations. Don't put all your chips on the God table because you guys have much more power in your own arms then a figurative character in the sky.

  • hey lets send another hundrd billion to other country first lets dont helpt them out there to dumb any way to ask for help

  • @UniversalTruthTruth Terima kasih

  • Semangat Kaka

  • @mochacha100 Terima kasih

  • Good luck from Jeanerette Louisiana

  • @snapshotandbisti Awesome! My daughter lives in Jeanerette, and I am going to take my grand daughter and her little dog up there for the flood, where they will be safe. There she will have her cousins to play with and not have to worry about the water. I will send her pictures through my facebook and you tube and keep her up to date. She is 5 and trying to understand. I explained that we are going to flood to help others from flooding. And that it is okay. Peace and Love

  • Hello. I was raised in Gibson. You all have been on my mind and in my prayers. From Stringer Ms my heart is with all of you. People do care.

  • I hope you and everyone down in the flood region is alright. May God be with you guys.-3

  • Wow guys, been reading those comments. whew, slow down, we are the one's getting ready for the flood, and we are not acting like idots, and some of you are right God has nothing to do with this part of the nations flooding, ours is coming our way to protect the more populated areas, and is a planned flooding of our homes and property. We are only trying to protect what is ours from the waters to come. We are a strong community and will pull together to help each other through this hard time.

  • Wats dis vid about? I'm 12

  • @evanb0869 This vid is about a flood we are going to have down here in Gibson Louisiana. We are getting sandbags to protect our homes, and we are letting the children be children during this hard moment. They do not fully understand what is happening, but they know that they are a part of it, and that we will keep them safe, no matter how high the water gets. That is my grand daughter and my grandson playing in the sand hill that is for the sandbags.

  • lamechop

  • @ajrobertson24 doing our best, and keeping the children calm. If we show we are afraid, the children become afraid. Trust your parents, we tell them, we will let no harm come to you. They trust us. and we will protect them.

  • damn man im in lafourche i dont really know what will happen on our end but my prayers go out to y'all

  • @DUBDUECE05 Hopefully Lafourche will be spared the water. We have enough waterways over here around Gibson to divert the water from your area. In one way the planned flood for us is not too good, but in another way we are saving a lot of other homes, businesses, industries, and property of a much larger population than we have down here. We will survive this, it may be a little rough, but as Americans we too must sacrifice for the better of the masses. Thanks for your prayers.

  • @starfawnoni hmmmm sounds very peacefully. Well then it's a good thing you don't struggle financially just like here in the cities, but I would rather live where you're at because their is just to much violence in this city

  • @starfawnoni oh, I'm so sorry to hear that! And I thought I was poor. I guess there are more people less fortunate than me :(

  • @babyblueteen WE are rich in "Love and friendship" We worked hard for the little we have, and we are just trying to save what we can. Our trailer is too old to insure and we just finished paying off our small piece of land. This is a planned flood to save the larger population and cities. We are a strong little community, ibson, Louisiana. Peace and Love

  • I wonder what they'll do if the flood never actually comes. So much work for no reason...

  • @babyblueteen Oh how nice it would be if the flood did not come. And if it did not come, I sure could use the sand. We cannot afford to leave for the flood, we have to ride it out. If it gets into our trailer, we will just get into our boats, with no motors. Then wait for someone with a motor on their boat to tow us to dry land. LOL it all works out in the end.

  • can someone tell me why they are filling sandbags? Is it to block the water?

  • @Nish2280 It is to keep the water out of peoples homes, we are expecting 5 to 10 feet of water. They have to flood our areas by opening the spillways to save the larger cities and population. "Flood the few to save the Mant" most of us are 2 to 4 feet above sea level. A lot of people here live in homes that are not elevated, or trailers that are only elevated a few feet.. And the schools are not elevated. I wish for the people in the flood zone, less water.

  • @starfawnoni So are you going to pile the sand infront of the doors and windows to stop the water coming in or build a wall around the house?

  • @starfawnoni I meant to say "Flood the few to save the Many" I am taking a few fast moments on you tube while packing up belongings and putting them higher up, and waterproofing them by putting important things in zip loc bags and contractor trash bags to keep them dry. Lots of work, so I have been typing faster and making mistakes here and there. Time is running out. Maybe we will only get a few feet of water. We can just wait and see.

  • If God wanted to protect everyone from the oncoming flood, wouldn't he stop it entirely?

  • how can you dislike this with the kids ... maybe no point to watch it, but seriously, disklikes .... damn ... people working, kids having fun, the people who dislike must have gotten here like myself from SESAME STREET ... lol ... but dislikes ... DERN ... what a hater world ...

  • God won't save you.

  • @gerfall no god wont save YOU.

  • @gerfall but heres to hoping he will even though your a dumbass

  • @CokeXinXmyXnose Do not call someone a dumb ass when you can't spell the English language correctly. You're*

  • @gerfall I bet you just read over your comment 3000 times in the process of sending it to make sure that you didn't spell anything wrong while you were calling me out on a ' and a re. YOUR fucking retarded. Hows that for you, what else are you going to say? Is that all you can come back at me with? well listen to this fuck mook if I wanted any comeback from you, I'd scrape it of the back of you're fucking throat.

  • USA is full of shit :D

  • our prayers are with all of you, please stay safe!

  • I was born there so I know the feeling.

  • @WeaponSamurai You see they just don't understand.

  • I know people are normally proud of where they come from. Well let me let all of you know. Unless you are from Louisiana you just don't understand. We have strong beautiful people that live here and we will get through this like we did with Hurricane Katrina, Rita, and the oil spill. We are proud people and I would never live anywhere else. But like I said unless you are from here you just don't completely understand. I'm damn proud of being from New Orleans Louisiana! Oh and WHO DATTTTTTTTTTTT!

  • @VARCITYWAVY nothing crazy is going to happen on may 21 but with all the storms up north, the Mississippi river is flooding and in about a week a good portion of Louisiana is going to be under water.

  • truthfully im from new york and i didnt hear anything about a flood out there but with whats going on in this world today i wont doubt it. everyone's gettin all crazy about dis May 21st stuff..truthfully im not a psychic so i cant say whether something's going to happen or not but hopefully not. just hope everyone in louisiana is ok

  • Run for your lives you dirty gator wrestling inbred motherfuckers.

  • @Texancubsfan001 lol learn to mature please

  • @Texancubsfan001 Let me tell you something you piece of shit. I'm from New Orleans and you can go straight to hell. Inbred? REALLY? Go look in the mirror. You are just in the next state over you stupid ass. I'm not even going to put your state down like you did mine. My state has been through enough and for people like you to have no compassion is embarressing to know you live in this country. Oh and by the way no one in my family wrestles with alligators. You truely are a stupid ASS!

  • @TheSaintsdiehard9 Don't listen to jack shit people say. There's assholes like that even in our own country. Some people don't experience floods or any natural disaster and they don't have any compassion for the unfortunate few who do so just let him do his thing. Just know that he probably works at a gas-station in the middle of the desert and is pissed off because he gets 5$ an hour.

  • @Texancubsfan001 Hey dude, I am from California, and I like it here in Louisiana. My Great-Great-Great-Grandfather was Governer here, the people are beautiful, the food is great, the music is awesome, I love the Saints (Who Dat), and you try to wrestle a gator!
