@AmyCyde He doesn't exactly "die" but he would have if Sookie and Sam had not buried him/shielded him from the sun. He was willing to go out in the sun and possibly burn alive in order to try and save Sookie from the man who was murdering women who "associated" with vampires. Once he healed while being underground, he was able to return to her.

People are comparing twilight and true blood. You cant though, Twilight is a movie, whilst true blood is a series, i suppose you can only compare the books, but i like both.
