  • thats like a yard sale in a trash truck!

  • im a renter to every move i just toss my shit out and just move my personal stuff when i get my new place i just trash pick for new stuff so manny ritch people toss away nice things so why should i but new stuff when i can get it for free the only thing i get new is a matress but its easy to move it i just tie it ontop the car the curb provides the rest

  • HAHAHAH IT WAS SO FREAKING FUNNY TO SEE THAT FUNTITURE AND ALL THE OTHR CRAP GET CRUSHED AND I HOPE THAT MONIDOR WAS BROKEN1!1!!!

  • try doin it on a military base!! its like that all day!! fuck fort carson in colorado springs im glad we lost the contract 600+ stops a day of bullshit!!

  • i would love your job

  • The people that leave this stuff should have to go around for one day for free and pick up others peoples crap piles.

  • how much does the garbage man make per hour?

  • Nice CRT (with the lead in it) going into the landfill.

  • I usually grab any audio equipment and such being tossed. Same with stuff that could be useful to others.

But, it is always fun to see something get crushed in a trash compactor. 5 stars.

  • should have had a yard sale

  • Good stuff right there!

  • Do you ever get to keep stuff or is that not allowed?

  • I would love to have a job driving 10 wheelers by throwing bulky objects violently in hopper and then making truck crush them. This in my opinion is the best example of ANGER MANAGEMENT!!! If I had this job, I'd do this all day!! GREAT POST!!!!

  • ime suprised u dont keep a knife in your back pocket or somin for that string stuff like that etc

  • I always wondered if any other town had nasty trash piles like mine. It's hard to believe that there are so many pigs. I like how you make a lot of noise. I guess my co-workers & I can't complain much. There's three of us on a rear load truck, ( driver & 2 riders). We have about 1200 to 1500 houses on our route. Neat videos!!

  • Thanks!

That actually sounds kind of fun to me, 3 guys on a RL truck, you have somebody to talk to, and I bet if you guys work well together you can slam those 1200 to 1500 stops in relatively short order!

  • I have to do this too. What pisses me off is you could be well on your way down the road in three and a half mins. Not all, but renters seem to be the worse.

  • I hear that!

I dont want to slam all renters, alot of them are great people, but when it comes to trash alot of them are total pigs.

Inconsiderate, messy, disgusting and lazy, with no respect for either the landlord or their garbage man.

If they could just be a little neater- and not save up a bunch of crap and throw it out all at once!

  • hey wait......I want some of that stuff.....umm....errr.......well I wanted some of that stuff.

  • lol someone could have used that red chair and wheeled cart thingie and that end table what a waste, no wonder there is so much pollution.

  • so fun to watch, this got me in a better mood as i imagined myself smashing all that crap...was this early in the morning?? i'm sure it'd be fun to smash and break stuff to wake up the bums who piled it all out there

  • Lol it was about 7:00 am, and part of my satisfaction was derived by knowing that I may have disturbed the slumber of the losers inside the house with all the noise I made!

I dont normally call customers losers but the people in this place are terrible, theres always trash strung around everywhere, broken glass, diapers, you name it. They live like animals or worse. Its one thing to be poor, but another to live like a dirty pig, I have no sympathy for that.

  • around here with the city they'd have like 3 guys for this, plus a boom loader, and still not get some of the small stuff left on the ground...you're one of a kind boss

  • Hey Eric, I love the videos. Keep em comin. What did you mean by 3 blocks of rentals

  • Thanks, theres more to come!

I dont run this section of route anymore but its two streets totalling about three blocks, and all the residences are duplexes owned by one company that rents them out. The management contracts with my employer for trash service for the whole area instead of each individual resident choosing a trash service. Part of the deal is that we have to pick up anything the people put out, they move out and leave a bunch of crap behind alot of times.

  • dont ever throw away electronics its wrong even if they dont work its bad and people could use them stop doing it now! reycle them or better yet donate them to nerds or the poor

  • u look suspicious with the sunglasses and hat

  • What a waste. Hey Eric you should scrap the copper and wires and other metals that you find. I talked to my garbage man and he makes 1,500 or more on just scrap. Nice vid 5*

  • do u put anger into all those throws

  • are you sure they weren't getting a cup of coffee before starting their yard sale? They would never pick up all that shit in my city!

  • Lol oops I stopped at a yard sale and trashed all their stuff- now that would be funny!

  • Wow, I am impressed - you loaded that chamber with everything and it ate it up in a few cycles. Great video, Thanks for the effort you put into the camera angles and posting. I enjoy seeing just what this design can handle on the routes.

  • i worked at a place that had 4 side loader the guys use to fight over working on them they didnt like the packers we had

  • Can't believe some the things people try to throw away. Like dead animals. Always had people come out trying to get me to throw lawnmowers away. Huge branches and stuff. Bikes.

Wish I could somehow buy my own truck

  • I hear that,I think ive about seen it all, nothing much surprises me anymore.

  • ever had any1 come up to you and say can you throw me in? lol

  • Not in person but the occaisional internet freak makes that and other strange requests lol.

  • Dare we ask like what?

  • I've had requests for diapers, womens undergarments and shoes, and inflatables mostly. I dont mean any offense to those people, it just seems strange to me. Except for the inflatable stuff because they pop when crushed and thats kinda cool.

  • Thanks for the reply Eric - I agree. Love your videos mate they are great. I have a question for you (nothing along those lines) can I em-mail you off group please?

    Simon

  • Nice one, it must get a bit annoying to you by having to pick up all that loose household furniture. Where I live they didn't even provide a hard waste service for a few years, so they made you go to the dump yourself, and we have one of the highest council rates in Australia. A great pack to!

  • being garbageman is great...you can blow off all your frustrations from pay day and still have a job the next day!

  • Awesome video as usual! I am surprised at how quickly that load got packed. It only took a couple of cycles on some of your other videos it seems like lesser loads take longer. was the truck fairly empty? and as far as you throwing stuff into the hopper its not like you have to be gentle with the stuff! you were more gentle with the stuff than that crusher panel and packer were. again thanks for the video and keep up the good work!!

  • OOPs I seemed to have made a mistake trying to reply and marked something as spam by mistake! I am sorry my bad! Anyway It seems those kind of slobs are up here too only we give the rental properties bins in some places and they still cant get their trash IN the bin but prefer to leave it outside and loose where it ends up everywhere!

  • Yeah, there are plenty of bins here for everybody but some people are just lazy idiots.

It bothers me only because that trash ends up blowin over to someone who actually does a nice and neat job of putting out their garbage, which isnt really fair.

  • You seem a tad pissed off that you had to pick all that shit up, well thats how it seemed the way some things sailed into the hopper! Watch the next time you are out there will be an old 6.2L G.M diesel engine at the curb! Question, have you ever tried to put a couch or an entire living room set through the packer? If so how did it work?

  • I wasnt really pissed at this stop, but was suffering a little aggravation from a loser stop a few minutes previous.

They had just dumped a pile of loose trash at the curb and it was everywhere.

I did not clean it up becuase they are disrespectfull slobs and I do not like them.

So maybe i was venting a little of that.

  • Well in some cases, the MSL truck can carry other items like those in that video using only that truck without sending special trucks to pick those up therefore saving the use of sending special trucks to pick it up.

  • So this is why MSL has a better advantage over ASL which can haul more stuffs manually unlike automated which can only haul bins. One truck, hauls more than just general waste.

  • Couches and mattresses are a pain to run through the packer but it depends on how full the truck is.

You usually just have to throw more trash on top of the furniture and then you smack it down with the crusher panel.

The fuller the truck, the longer it takes.

  • So do you ever run into any little really nice things or things that are still good and save it? What's the nicest thing anyone's thrown out that you can remember?

  • Just getting ahead of WasteCnxsideloader:

    Among my best "findings" are

    1)around 130 us$ worth of refund bottles

    2)2 old bayonets in sheath

3)a full sheet of stamps from 1910

The thing I saw most result of, was a photo album I gave to a guy building model railroads. He used cars, trucks and buses from the photos to build equipment in correct colours and correct shop facades for the streets in their oldtimer area!

  • a full sheet up stamps from 1910!? Wow someone sure doesn't have a brain! You saved it right?

  • Yeah, I imagine I'll use them for the next few letters I send.

    NOT!!!!!!!

Yeah, they're in the bank box. Dunno what they're worth, but I don't think they'll loose value...

  • Once again, a wonderful example of how wasteful those who don't believe in recycling or donating can be.

    Bravo!

  • That looks like a fun but very wasteful street.

So, rentals? Why the high turnover with those rentals? Don't look like people like to live there for very long... I'll bet you work three times as hard loading all the crap on that street than you do on any other!

  • Not sure why but the turnover does seem rather high with these rentals.Driving down the street it looks kinda ghetto, but most of them are nice and spacious inside,I actually ended up in one at a new years eve party a year ago and it was alot nicer inside than I would have thought.

It is indeed alot of work and alot of waste.

  • Why don't they just take a rear loader around for the bulk collections or have an on-call service?

  • This area used to be on a 2 man rearload route, the last one we had,but it was made into a sideload route, and this area had to be given away to another driver to make that days route manageable by 1 guy,so I took it.I do this area first thing thursday morning then go to the rest of my route in a different part of town.

So thursday is my longest and busiest day,but also the most profitable.

  • Aha...

  • What a waste...

  • you know what they need.. clear garbage trucks! lol!

  • i agree

  • wow.. can't believe they allow that. So why do you have to take everything they put out at the rental? That monitor was a no-no, and seeing that computer go in was hard. I used to collect them to recycle and save the good parts, still have a bunch. I wish a group of people would go get on the city's case about that, and more.. the state.

  • There was absolutly NOTHING wrong with that foldin chair you tossed in there. Shows how really wasteful our society is these days...sad...

  • LOL NICE! Good way to get one's anger out by throwing all those chairs and other crap in! This one will definitely be in my favs!

  • awsome video You showed that pile who was boss. That sucks that you have to pick up all of that. I think you have talked about this street before.

  • Yeah I think I have.Someday ill get some video of when I have to open up the tailgate and shove in some couches and mattresses,or someones entire living room set.Usually its dark then and i dont feel like messin with the camera though.

Its pretty crazy sometimes, there are about 160 stops here and it almost fills my truck up on really heavy days.

  • wow that is alot of garbage if you are filling the truck in only 160 stops. You said in another comment that Thursday was your busisest day but your most profitable. How do you mean? Do you get paid based on the number of stops or tonnagae or did you mean for the company?

  • I get paid by the stop, and I have alot of stops on thursday.

  • my city has a specific limit and bulky item is collected twice a year 4 free, after that its with money,,, i think 20 dollars a piece!!! u should charge u can make alot of money LOL

  • SHIT, how much trash can 1 household produce! NICE JOB!!!

  • I have encountered piles of junk here that make this one look tame. You would think "holy crap, are these people insane or what?"Usually I get those first thing when its dark, doesnt make for good video. This particular day I was running behind and the sun was up.

  • that looked like a couple of nice tables

  • Love it!!
