Sparda is such a badass... I remember playing the demo for this that came with a resident evil game I bought. I was instantly hooked. The demo ended right at the part where you're about to fight Nelo Angelo for the first time. I was like O_O

Good game but the later ones improved it a lot... Especially plot wise. It became more consistent (and Dante finally got a consistent-and good- voice in DMC3)

the reasons why movies of games or shows like avatar or DMC is because the story, emotion, plot, and action is built up over time and episodes, 1 hour and 30 minutes is hard to get you attached to the characters, put in alot of action, and not to mention explain the story and plot, things like MGS would be better as a movie series ment for the fans directed by the team behind MGS, hell there games are basicly movies with games in them xD

When he sees the amulet, it brings back memories Mundus tried to repress in Vergil's mind, such as Dante and his mother, obviously since it was her amulet. If Vergil wasn't being controlled, then there's no way he would be fighting for somebody else in the first place.

Nero was meant to have a mysterious past so at first they didn't tell anyone where he came from. However,the wikipedia said that Capcom themselves stated that he was Vergil's son.
However... I wouldn't be too fast to assume that everything said on Wikipedia is right. Remember, there is no official thing about Nero's lineage with the Sparda family, even though I too think there is a great involvement with them. Wikipedia may SAY Capcom said it, but if Capcom were quick enough to say that, then why isn't there anything on the official website, or, indeed, the game?

Vergil isn't an evil character. He is trying to open the demon world to acquire the sword Sparda for more power yes, but for what?
Remember, before the final fight between Dante and Vergil, Dante says "No matter how hard you try, you're never gonna be like father". Vergil wants power to exterminate the demons like his father, and will do anything to achieve the power for it.
Right, his quest for power possibly stems from when Vergil was a little kid. When his mother died protecting Dante and him, he was too powerless to protect her.

honestly, the first game was the smoothest, dantes movement was more fluid, the story felt more mature and shinji mikami played the hand in it, the others were trying to replicate it not precede it, especially DMC3 which was trying too hard. It still was an amazing game in its own right just not up to snuff with the original.
i like dmc 1 its better than the other sequals here it features both dantes funny and kinda serouse not like 2 where he goes silent and 3 where his immature... um oh yeah in4 his also kinda immature hehe..
lol n/m then. i was just wondering. my guess is because it was the first game they were still developeing plot and storyline. or atleast later on they tweaked a few things. this game is reasonably old to, and seeing as its the first its popularity hadnt boomed yet. once it became a big a hit as it is now, they usualy change the sequal a bit and add more detail, twists, ect. to make it even more popular

It is indeed vergil. After he lost to Dante in Dmc3 he ended up fighting Mundus and lost. So Dante killed Vergil while he was being controlled by Mudus, but Dante found out too late.
so why didnt he look like himself? atleast before he transformed into wolverine's badass cousin. but yeah i saw that ending where vergil fought mundus. but i would've thought dante would have noticed it was vergil when they fought.... hes kinda weird like that... he knows everything he just doesnt let on he knows it

alright. I wasn't going to do this, I was going to avoid being nerdy, but here it goes. Dante was eight when his mom was killed, which was 20 years from 2001, the original dmc, which made him 28 at the time. Then dmc4 came out in 2008, making him 7 years older (around 34-35) in dmc he was in his late teens, so from his late teens to him being 34 or 35, assuming Vergil is the same age because they are twins lol, that is plenty of time to knock up someone and have a teen kid...just sayin'.
its a shame that vergil becomes nelo angelo. he would have been a great plot device for dmc 1

well get used to it, cuz everyone says it. and they're probably right. after all, virgil has said "I need more power" and the voice of yamato has said that in nero's mind even before he got the sword, not to mention you don't see virgil at all times. he could have gotten with someone DURING a game instead of in between like you think. and nero has even inherited the demonic white hair of the sparda family.... all signs point to the obvious.

Nero was meant to have a mysterious past so at first they didn't tell anyone where he came from. However,the wikipedia said that Capcom themselves stated that he was Vergil's son.

However... I wouldn't be too fast to assume that everything said on Wikipedia is right. Remember, there is no official thing about Nero's lineage with the Sparda family, even though I too think there is a great involvement with them. Wikipedia may SAY Capcom said it, but if Capcom were quick enough to say that, then why isn't there anything on the official website, or, indeed, the game?

Vergil isn't an evil character. He is trying to open the demon world to acquire the sword Sparda for more power yes, but for what?
Remember, before the final fight between Dante and Vergil, Dante says "No matter how hard you try, you're never gonna be like father". Vergil wants power to exterminate the demons like his father, and will do anything to achieve the power for it.

Yeah he wants power, and will defeat anyone in his path to get it, including his own brother, but that's only because he wants to destroy the demons, not join them. Remember, he lost a mother to demons, too.

honestly, the first game was the smoothest, dantes movement was more fluid, the story felt more mature and shinji mikami played the hand in it, the others were trying to replicate it not precede it, especially DMC3 which was trying too hard. It still was an amazing game in its own right just not up to snuff with the original.

lol n/m then. i was just wondering. my guess is because it was the first game they were still developeing plot and storyline. or atleast later on they tweaked a few things. this game is reasonably old to, and seeing as its the first its popularity hadnt boomed yet. once it became a big a hit as it is now, they usualy change the sequal a bit and add more detail, twists, ect. to make it even more popular

It is indeed vergil. After he lost to Dante in Dmc3 he ended up fighting Mundus and lost. So Dante killed Vergil while he was being controlled by Mudus, but Dante found out too late.

alright. I wasn't going to do this, I was going to avoid being nerdy, but here it goes. Dante was eight when his mom was killed, which was 20 years from 2001, the original dmc, which made him 28 at the time. Then dmc4 came out in 2008, making him 7 years older (around 34-35) in dmc he was in his late teens, so from his late teens to him being 34 or 35, assuming Vergil is the same age because they are twins lol, that is plenty of time to knock up someone and have a teen kid...just sayin'.
