The tone, especially while singing "piano" is very nice. A little strident under pressure at times. She sings with just enough emotion, but no exaggeration. The voice isn't as secure as I would like, and would be necessary, for a long career in this repertory. I agree with vassiliskosopoulos about the high D's....not very secure here. I disagree about her appearance though.... she has a very attractive stage presence.
Very interesting voice and rather good technique...but seeing these upper teeth ALL the time reminded me more of a donkey rather than a human being...Also the very high notes (the D's) are insecure.
Magnificently pretty voice and very accurate, technique. She sings with emotion; how magnified with costumes, props, the orchestra in a pit, her fully staged and focused upon. Try listening to her without watching. So pretty and pure, no "stylizing."
A pretty, but thin, voice. Not secure on the top notes. And I could do with a lot less of the arm waving.

What a delicious musicality Shin has, and an astounding technique as well. She's certainly one of the best Lucia ever.

she has great technique, but her performance seemed really dull.
