  • I forgot to mention it was 300 pounds for two reps I saw.

  • Saw Joe Prezant in 1963/1964 at Muscle Beach do a seated military press taking the bar at his shoulders (much harder than an overhead spot) and press it with his back braced. He was about 5.11 and 245 pounds could also 40-degree incling 410 and was able to do a dead lift of 600 plus and bench press of about 500 touch and go. This was in the pre-juice era.

    google the following-

lesser known strong men of the 1950s and 1960s for others in that era.

  • Every time i do shoulder press my shoulders hurt really fucking bad minutes after, and even the following day. I really hate that workout, i no longer do it. Some people are just capable, some not so lucky.

  • Didn't touch, doesn't count.

  • @thetreeceman still good work, have to start somewhere to get there.

  • OHYOYOYOYOYOYO!

  • branch warren is a beast

  • steroids!

  • why cos you can't do it????

  • why do u say that? with that weight it absolutely does not have to be roids

  • 308 pounds, thats pretty impressive comin from an experienced powerlifter. He is doing it very strict sitting down aswell. Nothin on derek poundstone, best presser bar none, and im the biggest pudzianowski fan u could meet

  • would disagree, Big Z is a far better Presser than Poundstone

  • o.k maybe he is strong but it isn't tranning !

  • wtf you talking about it isnt training? Your a dumabss, you probably have no clue about powerlifting...

  • not very impresive at all. come on this video says strong man training.

  • although its not exactly the type of excersizes you would see a strong man trainer do it still doesnt deny that its an impressive lift. 300 lb+ military press is a fair deal of weight. any lifter will tell you that.

  • @r01dzz you say that but there is a video of derek poundstone doing this exact lift

  • animal!!

  • much more impressive than a 308 lb bench press

  • I wish I could do the kg-lb math in my head, and I would be even more impressed! Great lift brother.

  • 1 kg = 2.2 lbs.. so it's like 300+ lbs.

  • that's a dang lotta weight for that excercise. respect man

  • Now that's strength!

  • nonni äijät:D
