Celine has had much tragedy in her life, and yet she still sings for us. How hard that must be for her. xxx Congratulations on your twins and may you find solace after your losses xxx
I have lost sister who was everything to me. This song is beautiful. Every time I hear this song i feel better cause I think my sister is in better place now. Thank you Celine Dion for this amazing song.
I heard this as an overlay to a haunting video about a young kid,Larry Forbes King who was shot & killed by a fellow student simply coz he was gay! It seems to have such an emotional impact for many, many people who've lost a loved 1,whatever the circumstances.Such a beutiful song!
@popazz1 It's shameful how people die so tragically and senselessly for the most unjustifiable of reasons. Surely, this song brings peace and comfort to those who are close to persons who die like that. It always tells them that though they may have died like that, they are now safely away from it. R.I.P. to all who have died tragically.
You're spot-on,friend.Injustice,bigotry,hate,or as a result of sudden infant death,or childhood diseases, whatever the reason,to experience the loss of a loved child is almost unbearable. This track,I believe,is as close to perfect as is possible to achieve.
@bonzoAU It has been played for the funeral of my little brother, in April 2001, the first french version. This song is so beautiful, and I think it's a perfect piece to leave this world...
@wannabex01 The song is a tribute to her niece who died at age 16 - in her arms ... so its a very sad song with very very sad memories - most people look down when they're sad.
And well - people can't read anything with their eyes closed ^^ if you watch closely you can see her eyes are closed most of the time.
@juanrodc I'm pretty sure that's how Celine sings it. Still I'd say she was thinking about her niece Karin who passed away 1993. Yes You are right she is Amazing with her performance..
@reality00000 No, if you listen carefully at 2:50, she says "fly again, the time's right" instead of "fly away, the time's right". Not that different, but amazing as ever.
I just love this performance. She is completely withdrawn from the audience, singing only to herself and the memory of Karine. A rare and candid rendition - thanks for sharing this with us redecro.

Doesnt she know the words? It looks like she would read all the words from the paper in the floor.

2:58 she mis-sang the lyrics... Even with this, this performance is amazing.

This perfomance was also part from "Sea World/Busch Gardens Party For the Planet", a CBS Special in 1996. She also performed "Because you loved me".

It wasn't in 1997, it was in 1996, and is it from the "Falling into you" Concert in Montreal?
CDionSpain 1 year ago
@CDionSpain Montreal? then she would have sung it in French!
