  • This is not a glitch. It's keant to be used like that.

  • When using this move, does the move it imitates gets staler/decayed?

  • King DDD

    You can't dance

  • ehm.... if you could cut away Ike's part, why didn't you do that to the other parts?

oh yeah: don't watch the first fight! nothing happens there! It wasted 3 minutes of my life!

  • for people wondering: the glitch starts at 4:05

  • how do you do that ?

  • umm.... whats the glitch?

  • @supersmashmaster999 The glitch was near the beginning where Sheik had the chain out for some time and was just whipping ganondorf away.

  • @primtous thats not a glitch. you can control the chain

  • @supersmashmaster999 Yeah, my mistake

  • @supersmashmaster999 It was the part at around 2:06 where he was hitting 10%

The glitch copies the damage of the last attack you used

  • can that be used to spike?

  • then what is it?

  • The Ike Aether thing wasn't a glitch. There's a slight slope there at the edge, so when it's hit, he slides down and off of it. Like Yoshi's down B, as well as Kirby's down B.

  • lol "SHEIK! Do your final smash 20 times in a row to KO King DeDeDe!"

  • is it possible with zelda's sweetspot f-air?

  • aether glitch: you shielded and rolled away, kinda like increasing shield knockback rate... smooth tho

  • not to mention that Ike was on a slanted platform when he landed

  • thats how toon links down-A launching works... down A smash with a curved slope equals flying ppl

  • then WHY do we have to

    1:do a move

    2:short hop

3:time it just right to attack

if nintendo wanted this move on purpose they would have made it easier to handle, dont you think?

  • @lexos1993

lol you think nintendo intends half the stuff that are in these games? shine was never intended, it was discovered (its applications in melee are phenomenal) chain grabs are up in the air but they probably aren't intended; have you ever played ssb64 where there are upteen million 0 to death combos (that are hard as ****); you really think that nintendo intends half this stuff? almost every advanced move is an exploit of the physics that are built into the game. So sorry....

  • I think it's the Powershield Zelda raised that made Ike so afraid to recover, combined with the slope ofcourse.

  • u r teh nobbest perosn ever. the chain jacket isnt a glitch,it was intended to be a defensive move in melee(2003 is when i disovered it so dont get ur hopes up)and now its been buffed quite alot with more range dmg and knockback.second, tearan is right. ike does slide away if he gets ''super armored''. i've seen it happen but its really normal and i dont go running around claiming i've found a glitch>.>

  • He's not a n00b, he just tries to contribute and if it so happens that someone else has discovered it already, bad luck for him. Also, he doesn't CLAIM he discovered it, he clearly stated ''as far as I know'', which basically means that if his information is wrong, you can politely correct him.

    Also, learn2type

  • lol ur right, but i meant hes a NOB(look it up >.>) becuz he suks at using it(the enemies dont move or barley move)second, this is one of my worst paragraphs with a single hand done and thirdly, he does ''claim'' to have found the glitch

  • You're right about that, nice of you to elaborate :). And it's indeed annoying to type with one hand.

But I still find he didn't claim it, but that's just a point of view I guess.

  • I use Zelda/Sheik in most of the brawls.

I'm going to try using this. =)

Just need to learn how now. XD

At the end with Ike's Aether, that was kinda strange.

Maybe it was because Zelda used her sheild with the addition of a kick?

  • ive known that since melee came out so dont say your the first

  • really. this person is late on that little trick. plus i dont see a glitch with ike. i see ike being blocked and nocked back on an uneven surface while using an attack that until lands keeps moving in a downward direction.

  • he hit the ground, and slide, its a glitch

he's suppose to move downward, wouldnt he shift to the left, THEN go straight down again? no, he kept going to the left.

  • How you can swing it like that o-o

  • The Ike Aether glitch in question is not a glitch, but Super Armor. Super Armor is where a move grants invincibilty to knockback.

  • No, that's not the glitch. When Zelda powershielded the Aether, look how far away he slid. Pretty sure that's not normal.

  • Read the description date, dumbf*ck.

  • i dont get it how is it a glitch?? it makes no difference when u attack

  • sure it does, the hit box of teh forward smash is "stuck" to the chain

  • haha my name is sheik thats so funny

  • Comment removed

  • Technically, Zelda used that as an alias to hide away from Ganandorf, saying that she was a part of the Sheik Clan.

  • Did you really have to make a 5 minute video of a glitch that takes like under a second?

  • i was 20k viewer!!

  • I think a super guard was performed with the "Ike glitch" which caused the attack to be repelled.

  • Its any guard. If a Capt. Falcon hits you with a Falcon Punch and you guard, you and CF will be knocked back. It's the same thing with Ike, except the uneven ground level on the side of the field knocks Ike back farther.

  • how do u do it

  • woaw u can jacket the final smash with it? thats sick

  • How do u know when it is a normal chain or a "chain glitch"?

  • The normal chain has almost NO knock back whatsoever and does 5% or less.

  • I mean how do he know, when it don't hit ganon, just throw it out

  • This IS a glitch. Yes we know you can sweetspot with the tip of the chain. We also know that you can leave your chain out and move it around. This video is showing how you can "Chain Jacket" which is the actual glitch. What hes doing is "Jacketing" the F-Smash in the beginning. What this does is make the chain do the same damage and same knockback as an F-Smash. I thought it was obvious that the chain was glitched when he showed you all the Final Smash jacketed. But there are always idiots. >.>

  • okay i didn't see a glitch with shiek

  • It's a chain jacket. When the chain hits ganondorf, it's doing the same damage and knockback as the previous attack, which is f-smash. I think.

  • the "ike glitch" happened to me ,too ;D

  • okay so how to do it you do an attack almost anything best is probably a smash then short hop and in the time frame where the glitch happens you release the chain and there you go now you have a chain with the same knock back and power as that one attack you just did before the short hop even with a home run bat not sure about fs's though

  • *facepalm*

this IS a glitch, u just dont know what u are looking at. We're not saying leaving the chain out is a glitch, were saying that the fact that the chain does the same damage and knockback as the last move you used is a glitch. Know what ur commenting on before looking like an idiot.

  • the sloped land caused him to slide off to a horrible death

  • *3 mins pass* i see no glitch :\

  • because u r retard

  • mayb its bcuz its not zoomed in or paused:P

  • coming from the person that lacks proper grammar

  • If Ike lands on a kinda 'bent' piece of land with Aether and it gets shielded he flies away and dies a painfull death. that was the ike glitch u see the same in my combo vid of gaw ;)

  • when u get the whip out if u hold donw b u can keep the whip for as long as you want u can keep moving it aswell

  • where the fucks the gitch i saw the aether glitch and as for kind dedede doing that turning shit thats not a glitch thats a natural thing by fat characters

  • Ahahahah.

It's the sheik chain jacket. Honestly I don't know why they call it a jacket, not really the same.

  • its like a chain with Mario's mushroom :3 uber

  • Looks kinda hard and to do and TBH not really useful.

  • You can shoot sheiks chain out by pressing b and across(whatever side you are facing) and keep it pressed down and spinn the control stick to spin it

  • i dont get it...what does it do?

  • I don't get what I'm missing. I'm doing the exact same thing as in the video, yet it's not working for me.

  • There is a certain timing required for it to work. Experiment with when you pull out the whip during your shorthop and you will eventually get it.

  • That's exactly what I've BEEN doing, but it's STILL not working.

All I've noticed is that when you hit the opponent with the chain after pulling the chain out on the ground, each hit does 3% damage, while if you pull it out after doing the short hop, each hit does 5% damage.

  • Use a home run bat in training mode against a CPU who is on "walk" around the stage. If the glitch worked, your chain will instantly kill your opponent with a loud twang, and you'll know for sure.

The timing is picky as hell.

  • >_> Wait... that Ike glitch was considered new in July? I figured that out 2 days before the game came out in the states. I went to a store that broke street date.

Sheik one is new and interesting though... wow.

  • Explain the Final Smash section at 4:00 if you're confident there's nothing glitchy about what I'm doing.

  • I played Melee competitively (and continue to). RyokoYaksa also did to my knowledge.

And did you miss the chain doing 30 damage (the same as the Final Smash)? It definitely did not do that in Melee. If you think it did, please upload a video of that happening in Melee. I've never seen it before (and apparently nobody else has either).

The chain existing is not a glitch. The chain jacket (it taking a different damage value based on the last attack used) is DEFINITELY a glitch.

  • notice the strange elecrtric hitstun on DDD

  • can u please tell me how to do the chain jacket glitch?

  • its not a glitch >.> noobs

  • Reason glitch works: Sheik's chain has a different animation in the air than on the ground, when Sheik lands, the animation changes, but the hitbox is never defined, so it takes the hitbox definition from the last move used. However, there are two chain hitboxes, the tip gets defined while the middle doesn't, so the middle takes the hitbox from the last move, resulting in Sheik's chain being do things like hit like a homerun bat with the middle of a chain.

  • The hitbox isn't defined because the definition is skipped

  • O SNAP

  • Oh, and if you charge a smash before performing the jacket, is the chain more powerful?

  • Is there any way to cancel the USmash so that you can get a tipper'd chain jacket? Because that would be pretty amazing.

  • how does this work???

  • The Ike glitch is called by Silven the "Blastoff Glitch"; if Ike lands with his Aether on a sloped ground and an opponent shields the downward hit of Aether (cannot be hit by the upward part), Ike will slide past the edge.

Anyways, the Chain Jacket glitch was very interesting; I've never seen that before. Great find.

  • Lol, if you do this right, the chain will keep all the properties of your last attack. That means the forward smash here.

  • lol @ Ike, must have been some by-product of the new slide mechanics on slanted surfaces like on great fox

  • too bad the opponent can just jump behind u and attack u :P

  • did u watch the 2nd half of the vid? i dont think so lol

  • Is it possible to chain jacket the chain (double the damage or something?)?

  • i can't get it to work!!!! and i did exactly what this video is!

  • I can't succeed in doing this. Can it be that you can't perform an Chain Jacket with the European SSBB??

  • lmao i still dotn get how you guys didnt figure out how to do it

did it on my first try u hold he and spin the joystick after

  • ummmm.... when zelda comes back she has wind for some frames wat happen was her wind just pushed u off

  • Ryoko, for God's sake, explain!!!

  • A shame that doesn't look too useful overall...

  • Wut.

  • Ness has jackets too, in melee. The smash ball one is a bit crazy, good thing i don't play with em on!

  • This game makes too much sense

  • shielding causes Ike to get pushed plus the angle of the edge adds to the momentum from being pushed by the shield

  • WAAT!

  • how do you do this anyway?

  • The ike thing me and silven found out already. Its called Blastoff

  • you guys crouched on sync to the music. great, hahaha

  • thatll move the chains

  • Help me.

What am I looking for here as far as glitches go?

Is it the hit box around Sheik as she's holding her whip when somebody touches her? I didn't think that was glitchy...maybe I'll try it out. <3

Ike got Smash Shield Pushed! Madness!

  • It would seem that the chain is taking on the properties of the attacks used before it...

  • Ganon: UGH!! The CHAINS! NOOOO! You haven't seen the last of ME!

    *disappears into a book*

  • HOLY COW!!!!!SHEIK FOR "WTF TIER!!"

  • tis a jacket
