This is actually a cover of a great 1959 Bobby Day song (and even though the record says it was written by R. Byrd -- that's Bobby Day's real name). Dave Clark 5 had great taste in covers because they did a respectable exciting cover of this song. Dave Clark's upfront drums on this track are marvelous.
This is my favourite of all DC5 songs! Thank you for posting it!!!! I was just 8 years old when the Beatles, and DC5 came onto the scene here in Canada. My parents let me stay up late to watch the Beatles's debut on the Ed Sullivan show. But, DC5 were hitting the charts at the very same time. And so were the Stones. British Invasion!!! That was the beginning of the Generation Gap. No more Lawrence Welk or Mitch Miller for us kids!
