See the problem with groups like The Go Go's is they were talented and wrote their own songs.

To make it big in today's music scene you:

a) Shouldn't know the difference between an guitar and a drum.

b) Use auto-tune like a fat man uses a fork (ie.constantly).

c) Pretend you're edgy by stealing the schtick of Bowie in the 70's, Madonna & Alice Cooper in the 80's, and Marilyn Manson in the 90's (see Lady GaGa).

d) Differentiate yourself from the above by never penning songs yourself.

Love the Go Gos. Saw them at the O.C. Fair years ago. I just wished Belinda got down more. Her stage presence was way to relaxed just like on this clip. She doesn't do the Belinda 1-2 step anymore when she sings like the way she did in the 80s.
