She could sing anything, and do it well (perhaps I should use the present tense, she's still going strong). Her version of "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me' (in Italian, no less) really is terrific.

The first time I heard this song it was on the Flip Wilson Show. Roger Miller sang, "King of the Road" and Wilson, in his Geraldine voice, sang, "Queen of the House".

This video looks like they pulled a practical joke on Miller. The dancing women are never in the same shot Ms. Miller!

I agree with mikeymars...I didn't really know of Jody Miller until I looked up this song. She has quite a strong voice and this song doesn't do it justice. She almost seems a little subdued in singing it. (Also, this is obviously a pre-feminism song! LOL)

Sigh..poor Jodi - this Oklahoma chick really did have some serious talent, but when Capitol Records picked her up in '63 they had absolutely no clue on how to leverage it. With her country roots, if they'd let her loose in the studio with the right producer she probably could have kicked off the whole country rock thing years before the Eagles, and the rest would have been history. But noooo...instead, they gave her this sort of material....which led nowhere but the discount rack.. :(
