@thelegendarylord No, you won't. You'll end up with some ugly fat-ass lady and be miserable like everyone else. Just stay single and bang as many broads as you can, man.
I wish time machines did exist.. I would be out of here so fast and back to the middle of the 50s. That was a great musical era and to witness the birth of Rock and Roll would be amazing.
at school when people talk about there fav bands they say something like Drake, Justin Biber, and Lady Gaga. i say "whos that" and they laugh like ima idiot
but when i say an artist like Bobby Darin, Don Mclean, and Molly Hatchet they say "whos that" and i laugh at them like there completely retarted...

@davidtheb It's not exactly like this song, but a song that's new with "do wop" roots is 'Dead Wrong' by Hanni el Khatib. It's refreshing knowing that new artists can still make good music.
On topic. Bobby Darin is the shit. Also the only reason I take baths haha.
In my bed, under the covers, listening to Luxembourg on a cristal radio with headphones !! Sheer joy. Does'nt age at all, the tone of these records, I love them just as much now as I did then.
I'm 215 years old, I think, or maybe 214. But I kind of remember when this song came out. I remember my great great grandson, may he rest in peace, dancing to this song..... Who cares how old you are, these songs will never die. They are timeless, anyone in any age group will love them.
This is a fantastic song. Bobby Darin thought this and Splish Splash was too mainstream and dented his cred as an artiste. This guy could sing old macdonald and it wouldn't ruin his cred. The most beautiful voice in the world ever (opinion). Mikey xx
no worries means no burdeons; gangsters will always wind up alone though cos of the burdeons they create in the world for society; 2 wrongs don't make a right; bad systems; governments & cops are a social diseased burdeon as well... i'm too philosophical for most; i'm used to it

This music has depth, meaning, soothing. It's something you can turn on when we get home from work, or late at night....and relax to. This music will be around maybe forever, today's music....well I doubt it...
I'm 16 year old and a hiphoper listening to swedish rap and american but still this sort of music is so damn wonderful to listen to! love this sort of music! :) Peace And Love!!

I'm 12. I am a metal-head, but I still LOVE 50's music. My parents don't listen to ANY of the music I listen to, I find out everything myself. I basically hunt music. I love learning about more old bands, and feeding my ears with the great sounds. All of my friends listen to the stupid Jonas Brothers, and some of them don't even know who John Lennon is! I love all old music. It makes me who I am now.
(continued) I challenge any future posters on this video who are in their teens in my generation to listen to a current pop song on the radio and compare it with Bobby Darin, Rick Nelson, or Elvis Presley's stuff and honestly tell me which generation of musicians was better. Don't think in terms of "old" and "new" but really approach it with an open mind, thinking in terms of overall musicality and presentation. These three I mentioned are about three times better that the top artists today.
I'm 19 and grew up on this stuff. I still love listening to it and my radio is always set on the oldies station. (: There will never be songs this romantic ever, if only they'd played this at all those crappy dances I went to in highschool lol.

i completely agree with you im 31 and i was raised listening to this music and it makes me so happy when you see a young teenager post a comment on youtube stating how much they love this music it proves that classics will never die
Back then music was actual music. None of this wobbling around the actual written notes never staying on one note for more than a second trying to create an "effect." Just singing what was there and letting natural talent and training do the rest. Listen, really listen to this. Does Bobby wobble his way through this? Heck no (and thank God) if he does anything like today's "musicians" (using the term very loosely) it is barely noticeable and doesn't detract from the overall beauty of the song
And verily the Lord did sayeth: "Let there be YouTube". And the sound, and the light, and the comments did spread over the land, and it was good . . . well, some of it was. The rest was crap.
This song stuck to my head when I was little and watched Hot Shots, I used to rewind the motorcycle scene over and over again just for this song. I just had to look it up.
I've been to Portrush, wandered along the coast past the Giants Causeway and over the rope bridge, that was just after getting divorced, oh those memorories!
In 1957 in my town in australia, the only person who owned a 57 chevrolet was the local doctor. also kids, remember we didn't have CD or tape in the car and often not even a radio. You had to wait for your faqvourite song to come on the radio if you had one. so buy a chevvie, fill it with 1950s CDs and drive to heaven!
Bobby Darin was an excellent singer. This song is "just another pop song" , but a great one. Later he recorded jazz, even folk, and all of it was great.
I was a kid picking cherries from the cherry fence and getting my arms all scratched, hearing this song. Now I´ve girls of my own and I can´t believe so much time has gone by. Thanks for posting.
Sure there is the danger to believe all the past was better, but that doesn't mean any time past was as good/bad as current one. Here, I'm a young man, long time observer/student of 40s & 50s. Of course these times had some problems (social, wars, etc, still to be solved) but I can't avoid the evidence that they were better than today in many aspects.
I'd go to the 40s & 50s but not to the 20s & 30s, neither the 70s & 80s, and all of them are "the past". Just my opinion.
Starting 5th December 2008, BBC Radio 2 is broadcasting a 4-part documentary series called BOBBY DARIN: A MAN IN A HURRY. You can listen to it online anytime from anywhere in the world by logging on to the BBC RADIO 2 website.

Fantastic song!!
This song stuck to my head when I was little and watched Hot Shots, I used to rewind the motorcycle scene over and over again just for this song. I just had to look it up.

Dreaming of all the years gone by since Bobby departed. Such a loss to us all.

Cheers!
