  • @19tharr..1959???

  • I wish time machines did exist.. I would be out of here so fast and back to the middle of the 50s. That was a great musical era and to witness the birth of Rock and Roll would be amazing.

  • this just became my favorite song. ODLIES RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • at school when people talk about there fav bands they say something like Drake, Justin Biber, and Lady Gaga. i say "whos that" and they laugh like ima idiot

but when i say an artist like Bobby Darin, Don Mclean, and Molly Hatchet they say "whos that" and i laugh at them like there completely retarted...

    (BTW ima 13 ^^)

  • i was born in the wrong era. I ant to be back in the 50's, muscle cars, drive thru theaters , girls in roller skates bringing your meal, and wear awesome leather jackets.

  • I know that I am old fashioned, but why can't they make music like this anymore.

  • @davidtheb It's not exactly like this song, but a song that's new with "do wop" roots is 'Dead Wrong' by Hanni el Khatib. It's refreshing knowing that new artists can still make good music.

On topic. Bobby Darin is the shit. Also the only reason I take baths haha.

  • I love the oldies

  • i feel the need to state my age on every song that was made before 1982

  • Im 5 years old and I loooove this music!!!!!

(jk lol more power to the x generation)

  • Nobody cares how old you are,,,, seriously stfu.

  • I'm still a fetus but I just adore this song <3 <3

  • In my bed, under the covers, listening to Luxembourg on a cristal radio with headphones !! Sheer joy. Does'nt age at all, the tone of these records, I love them just as much now as I did then.

  • Best damn love message ever!

  • I'm 215 years old, I think, or maybe 214. But I kind of remember when this song came out. I remember my great great grandson, may he rest in peace, dancing to this song..... Who cares how old you are, these songs will never die. They are timeless, anyone in any age group will love them.

  • I don't give a rats ass how old you are, as long as you like it you're a friend of mine.

  • @PMMillard ..one of the best ever...RR

  • Respond to this video... Kevin Spacey does this tune very well...

  • @PMMillard i was 7 wen i liked this song

  • thumbs up if you dont give a crap how old is a person is... we come for the music not stats about ur age lol

  • I've been listening to this song since I was about 7 and I'm still not bored of it. Probably my favourite song ever.

  • Can't help but think of Hot Shots when I hear this.

  • im glad my dad exposed me to this stuff. He actually exposed me to the late 60's and 70's and I kinda stumbled upon this. Thanks pops

  • oldies are the best

  • never heard this song till today. I love this song!

  • try ricky nelson

  • Haha good times at my old job they always bumbed this oldie and, in the still of the night keeping it OG

  • "Morale is shot to hell.

Just look out there--hardly a man moving!

    Roy? Roy!"

  • Great song, haha and a pic of vatos locos ^^

  • Tenhle song miluju:-)

  • reyesm13,

This is my favorite song of all time. Thanks for putting it up. (not bad for a Raiders fan) Thanks again, a Patriots fan.

No, really, great song...thankyou for putting it up.

  • This is a fantastic song. Bobby Darin thought this and Splish Splash was too mainstream and dented his cred as an artiste. This guy could sing old macdonald and it wouldn't ruin his cred. The most beautiful voice in the world ever (opinion). Mikey xx

  • Just a perfect song!! Love it.

  • We danced to this song at our Year 11 Ball in 1961 :') Happy memories!

  • i reckon our generation had the best music and cracking times 60s was the best

  • I love this song all thanx to my granny. I am such a dork - and I proud woooooooo!

  • love this!! 50s music is so ... nifty lol =]

  • Heavenly, and you can understand every word, no swearing, bring back the music of the 50's and early 60's..........JJ

  • Bobby Darrin could teach these young new punks a thing or two, this new music is so fucking gay, ala Kanye West and the Rest

  • dam~~ i fell in love wif dis 1

  • classic

  • Mellow tunes...ahhh yeah, now this is what I call music, compared to that crap they play on the radio now days...

  • Gangster love!!! Perhaps the very best love in the world!! LOL!!! Aaaaah gangsters, you gotta love ém........or they'll shoot ya!! ha ha!

  • no worries means no burdeons; gangsters will always wind up alone though cos of the burdeons they create in the world for society; 2 wrongs don't make a right; bad systems; governments & cops are a social diseased burdeon as well... i'm too philosophical for most; i'm used to it

  • not all gangsters my dads not alone =]

  • i'm happy for you both; i prefer optimism; i like to believe that all pple regardless of the dark places they've been; wind up finding love, family and peace without the continuation of hurting others in any way

    bless u both

  • Jacky if you're around, check out "Be my baby" by the Ronnettes with the chechboard race car !!! (i dug way back and found your old channel's comments and one from mine)

  • hallo ich bin ein deutscher und finde diese lieder einfach spitze sie machen dich ruhig und du kanst entspannen einfach spitze!!!

  • Another favourite song of mine

  • Very nice! Thks so much.

  • damnit well i agree with the people below me im young to but i love this era everythings just true and not just like now where they are rappin about how their players and pimps

my favorite type of music to listen to

&+ i can relate to this song haha

  • i understand that we all like this song and these types. but i mean really? does that automatically make the new stuff 'not real music'? its rather stupid to call it devil music or nonsense. just because different artists are expressing different forms of music? arent we rather opinionated. now i dont wanna go offending some of yall cuz i know how easily people get pissy. im a metalhead who listens to this stuff too so in no way am i to use the term, nonsense. open your ears to whats around

  • This music has depth, meaning, soothing. It's something you can turn on when we get home from work, or late at night....and relax to. This music will be around maybe forever, today's music....well I doubt it...

    Geri, from Florida

  • yea thats true. but like todays music just isnt the same, you know.

the thigns artista say now days are so poitnless[im not saying all of them].

media now days is just a way to get money for most artists.

back in the day it seemed to have much more meaning. but everyone has their opinion.

  • I'm 16 year old and a hiphoper listening to swedish rap and american but still this sort of music is so damn wonderful to listen to! love this sort of music! :) Peace And Love!!

  • me too man(although I don't really listen to rap that much)....people think they too cool to listen to this.....they always say: "Listen to 'TODAYS' music".....This music will always be cool.....VOOR ALTIJN MIJN VRIEND(Forever my friend)

  • you youngsters and your devil music in my day we never heard such nonesence its not music its devils music stop rockin and rollin and get a job

  • your living in the past

  • little richard , i,m very happy to know that someone of your age knows waht real music is and all about ... well done..

  • Απίστευτο τραγούδι!

  • MEXICAN PRADE!

  • Well, everyone keeps stating their age and why they love this era... so I guess it's my turn...

I'm 12. I am a metal-head, but I still LOVE 50's music. My parents don't listen to ANY of the music I listen to, I find out everything myself. I basically hunt music. I love learning about more old bands, and feeding my ears with the great sounds. All of my friends listen to the stupid Jonas Brothers, and some of them don't even know who John Lennon is! I love all old music. It makes me who I am now.

  • to dla CIEBIE DZIEWCZYNO O PERŁOWYCH WŁOSACH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!ciekawe czy zgadniesz ???????????

  • cool song!

  • To rockyPants4000, you've got one hell of a sense of humour mate, nearly pissed myself reading your comment, great!

  • i'm 19 and i love this music i've been listening to it since i was like 7..

  • Today's music cannot compare to songs like this!! Great post thanks.

  • I'm 26 and have always been a great admirer of the fifties and sixties music

  • yo im 24 now and stil listen to this lol sounds good to this day

  • I love this song!

  • Orale I wanna Dream Lover. I remember cruising the Boulevard to this rola

  • hot shots! lol

  • cdfu love that movie

  • great to hear their are younger people who love this music

  • (continued) I challenge any future posters on this video who are in their teens in my generation to listen to a current pop song on the radio and compare it with Bobby Darin, Rick Nelson, or Elvis Presley's stuff and honestly tell me which generation of musicians was better. Don't think in terms of "old" and "new" but really approach it with an open mind, thinking in terms of overall musicality and presentation. These three I mentioned are about three times better that the top artists today.

  • im 13 and im loving these oldies baby!!!!!

  • im 21 and bin listening to this stuff since i was 15 its mint

  • I'm 19 and grew up on this stuff. I still love listening to it and my radio is always set on the oldies station. (: There will never be songs this romantic ever, if only they'd played this at all those crappy dances I went to in highschool lol.

  • i'm 17 years old... to hell with the age! music reaches everyone... just have to want it! great, i love this song!

  • im 18 year in listinning to oldies like 1 year now got like 500 songs!

    i jus enjoy them everyday!

  • i'm 14 and I love Bobby Darin and other artists from his era. I don't know anyone else who likes this kind of music.

It's so much better then half the trash they play these days!

  • Great song...appears in hot shots-the movie...=)

  • The new generation music is not my type, you see;

I love oldies, they dont speak of pussy, money, drugs and alcohol but instead of beauty and true romance. Im 14.

  • word bro,im 15, and in high school, and people have little to no class, its a piss off.

  • Same here. I would rather dance to this at a high school dance than all of that hip-hop and rap garbage they're pumping out these days.

  • @iLUbby0Ub00 Don't you like girls? Money? Drugs? Noob.

  • love this song

  • Maybe Best song ever?

  • Nice Song

  • Iam 56, with a son who is 20....it took him a few years to listen to not only Bobby Darin, my all-time favorite, but later heroes, Beatles, Beach Boys, Moody Blues, Clapton, Hendrix, Boz Scaggs, even the Seekers and Trini Lopez!....the kids need more legitimiate MUSIC rather than sexual-filth-rap-scum, hip-hop, etc.....you-tube has ignited a new genre of intelligent kids, who can appreciate great music from yesteryear...afterall....WE gave it to them!

  • And thank you Kenwood3865. For a young 22 year old musical purist like myself the treasures of your generation are a beautiful osais for appreciative ears.

  • i completely agree with you im 31 and i was raised listening to this music and it makes me so happy when you see a young teenager post a comment on youtube stating how much they love this music it proves that classics will never die

  • Back then music was actual music. None of this wobbling around the actual written notes never staying on one note for more than a second trying to create an "effect." Just singing what was there and letting natural talent and training do the rest. Listen, really listen to this. Does Bobby wobble his way through this? Heck no (and thank God) if he does anything like today's "musicians" (using the term very loosely) it is barely noticeable and doesn't detract from the overall beauty of the song

  • And verily the Lord did sayeth: "Let there be YouTube". And the sound, and the light, and the comments did spread over the land, and it was good . . . well, some of it was. The rest was crap.

  • American Idol is part of the crap you speak of rocky, great comment though preach the truth brother! :)

  • wow. This is a really good song. I can't believe I've never heard it. I didn't know who bobby darin was either.

god bless youtube for educating the young ppl.

  • See xmas auld lang syne by Darin

  • that's a wonderful song

  • Im 17 and I think this stuff will never get old or lose its tuch on us!

    Live on 50's and 60's!!!!

  • gangsta love.....? wtf

  • I'm 16 and i absolutely adore these timeless classics alongside Roy Orbison 'Pretty woman' etc etc. :)

  • Fantastic song!!

This song stuck to my head when I was little and watched Hot Shots, I used to rewind the motorcycle scene over and over again just for this song. I just had to look it up.

  • this was my love song when i met my future wife while on holidays in portrush nth ireland. i was 19 and that song has stuck in my mind ever since.

  • I've been to Portrush, wandered along the coast past the Giants Causeway and over the rope bridge, that was just after getting divorced, oh those memorories!

  • thats so romantic and sweet :)

  • great!

  • In 1957 in my town in australia, the only person who owned a 57 chevrolet was the local doctor. also kids, remember we didn't have CD or tape in the car and often not even a radio. You had to wait for your faqvourite song to come on the radio if you had one. so buy a chevvie, fill it with 1950s CDs and drive to heaven!

  • thank you bobby.

  • Dreaming of all the years gone by since Bobby departed. Such a loss to us all.

See you in Rock & Roll Heaven.

  • i want to go home

  • I'm only 30 and this song is timeless and gives me a smile everytime I hear it!!!

  • Bobby Darin was an excellent singer. This song is "just another pop song" , but a great one. Later he recorded jazz, even folk, and all of it was great.

  • I was a kid picking cherries from the cherry fence and getting my arms all scratched, hearing this song. Now I´ve girls of my own and I can´t believe so much time has gone by. Thanks for posting.

  • Sure there is the danger to believe all the past was better, but that doesn't mean any time past was as good/bad as current one. Here, I'm a young man, long time observer/student of 40s & 50s. Of course these times had some problems (social, wars, etc, still to be solved) but I can't avoid the evidence that they were better than today in many aspects.

I'd go to the 40s & 50s but not to the 20s & 30s, neither the 70s & 80s, and all of them are "the past". Just my opinion.

    Cheers!

  • man this music is great

I wish I could have been born when oldies weren't oldies and cruise in those amazing cars

  • the past always seems better, even if we didn't live then

  • i love this song so much and im younger then 14

  • damn thanx this song iz the shit

  • I found my dream lover

  • Starting 5th December 2008, BBC Radio 2 is broadcasting a 4-part documentary series called BOBBY DARIN: A MAN IN A HURRY. You can listen to it online anytime from anywhere in the world by logging on to the BBC RADIO 2 website.
