One shout out of the silence, he knew who it was, he tuned to his right and the dusty face of a young girl, much taller than the last time he saw her, shouted out again...Dad, Dad....he walked over to the crowd and she climbed the wall to get to him....they were together again, each thought the other was dead or never to be seen again, until this very moment...and then the crowd erupted in celebration, it was over and everyone knew it.
He stood as an average man, average build, a nobody in the street, but in the dust, sword glued to his right hand, surrounded by six fallen reptilian warriors, he stood exhausted but proud and true, infront of a seventh reptile who was knelt with head bowed...the crowd all around him fell silent, as they witnessed the rise of mankind once again, their right to live in freedom, all played within the rules their gods have used throughout this universe for millennia..
@rtorresrocha I agree. We can do so many amazing things, including creating beautiful music, yet we cannot find a way to solve man's problems or live in peace. The answer can be found at 1 John 5:19 - "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one" (Satan). But there is hope because the Bible also reveals that Jehovah will soon do away with Satan and his influence and bring an end to all of man's problems by means of his kingdom.
This always reminds me of Jayne Torvill & Christopher Dean's performance to win the Gold Medal for Ice Dancing at the 1984 Winter Olympics. Check it out and see how to get perfect marks from all the judges
@diannagrana1 No disrespect but you cant be serious that he is the 'greatest classical violinist ever'!!! It is amazing what media/ television hype does. He has a weedy tone and ANY vioulinist in a major orchestra sounds better. It is truly sad that the public does not know what a great violinist actually sounds like.
If you dont believe me go hear current violinists Anne-Sophie Mutter,Gil Shaham,,Mullova,Repin. Lets get real-he is a cheesy showman and thats all.
@blueyedboy84 isn't he the best ever ? Not like Anne-Sophie Mutter,Gil Shaham,,Mullova,Repin....they're amateurs....but Andre Rieu is really the best ever...look it up in books !
@blueyedboy84 Cheesy showman? LOL You must be so envious. People love this man. His orchestra sounds pretty good to me and I have a musical background.
The original version of this song was 17 minutes long. Try this...find an excellent recording of the original (17 minutes), start it on a good stereo system, and have sex. To use an old phrase from my youth...FAR OUT, MAN!!!
I never understood the fascination with this piece of music, which I always considered repetitive and boring, until I heard Andre Rieu do it in a concert in Salt Lake City, Utah. I understand now.
Anyone can critique music, or anything for that matter. Is is so hard to relax, and enjoy music for what it is? If you do not like it check the dislike box, and listen to something else
I don't care what any of you long hairs say. Enjoy the music. Andre Rieu has done a lot in the way of introducing many people to classical music by having fun with it and showing the rest of us what can be done with a beautiful piece of music like this. I liked it.
How can they destroy that piece like that?? It totally lacks of tension and a lot of beautiful instrumental solos (flute, clarinet, Es-clarinet, bassoon, tenor sax, ...)!
@blueyedboy84. I think we all know that you are some sort of a bit part musician by now. Not really good enough to get past amateur status. Still critising Andre Rieu, never mind most of us have more to life than looking at your comments.
@stupiddude1000 I totally disagree. I am a classical composer as well as a performer.
This is one of the few pieces of classical music that should be delivered (with utmost discretion" in plain brown paper wrapping....
and one of the most competent performances I've heard
the soprano saxophone at :30 was a surprise (notice the conductor is not into micro management - no need!) and the trombones at 2:30 could make a young girl blush.
My only wish is that it was in HD ,,,lasted for another four hours or so.
Andre Rieu seems to me to be the Classical music of James Last. Producing a version of a well know piece, not 100% true to the original, perhaps. Pleasing none the less. After all Rieu and Last both have huge record sales, so they must be doing something right.
mind the history that was written ravel bolero inspired by a woman, she was a dancer, who at first was not observed by anyone and was removing one by one the pieces of his clothing, and so slowly they approached more and more men to watch her for it is heard increasingly stronger the vibration of the notes and each time more instruments are attached. .
@chabi3000 Ok. I disagree with you that it has nothing special. This video alone has over 1 million views with 1,800 likes to only 51 dislikes. And Bolero was Maurice Ravel's signature masterpiece that is world famous. I will admit that it is repetitious but alot of music/songs are i.e. But rather then getting in a Youtube argument, I'm going to respect your opinion because there is music/songs that you love that I might not like. @chyno83 I also love this. I played the snare drum and string bass in school orchestras. The beautiful melody and percussive dynamics is what permeates this performance. Andre is a showman and so are his musicians. So I say "Bravo" to this piece!

Heard them all so do have some idea what I LIKE, not what you think i should listen too. This is the real thing and it's the best there is. So stuff that in your cd. Do you know what i hate, its people like you with nothing better to do than moan just because you dont like something. You don't see me posting comments on how bad some of what you might call the better music is. I just don't visit them, so why don't you do the same.

I happen to think this version is very good. It still gives me goose bumps whenever I hear it. Andre Rocks!
