@hillbillybob93 yep! i do that by sawing it down with a dremel........ but be careful!
i do this with some fly reels and i had a spinning reel i sanded down myself and ive come close to destroying them...... but the reels that are sold with them are very, very nicely crafted.... i know because ive been using them for three years....... i am hoping to put up a video of how to fit on the rees soon.
@NVAUrbanangler i would suggest a sliding sinker rig with nightcrawlers or sardines my friend even caught the biggest fish of the day on some homemade bait that i made. that video will show up soon.
@ljalaska ya its a good combo! you should try to give those rockfish a whirl on it! that sounds awesome! and ya if a penfishingrod can handle a 20 lb carp then it can definitely handle halibut! also they are very fun to go trout fishing with!

those are a nice combo. I was thinking they would be great for rockfishing up here and even light tackle halibut!
