I don't believe that the prince will ever return to Iran because his Mother is a princess from the Qadjar-Dynasty. And the princess Lyla is died just as the german-norwegian prince of Mood rejected the? marriage proposal of the jordanian princesses Haya and Raiyah. So I believe it could be the CIA. The prince was related with the Shah father and prime minister Alam. A perfect solution for a return of the monarchy. What a pitty.
According to the shah of Mood/Birjand the former president Carter is involved in great trades with Rafsandjani and owns huge areas in Iran. The Shah of Mood knows the business partner.
I think the issue is not whether the flag being slightly wrong or not is such a big deal or not...
The issues is why and who would go to all the cost, time and effort of printing up "Shah Of Iran" flags instead of correct ones? And how could they get it done SO fast in time for demo's?
Now who were the LAST backers and supporters of the Shah and his Death Squads, Oh yeah, The USA.
Now where is this protest taking place? Oh yeah, The USA. I sense a pattern of psy-ops here, no?
whatever pattern you are sensing, I do not subscribe to it. I can't help but imagine that you maintain an obsessive tendency towards assuming cui bono exists for every happenstance.
And when I used to post about the evils of Hank Paulson and the bankster bailout I'd get the "you're just jealous of the rich because you don't have as much money as them" meme. So predictable were these responses, I could just print them out on cards so when people trotted them out at bars I sighed, reach into my pocket and present them with their own little quotation. Interestingly enough, people don't say that one any more...
Many people there were holding the "wrong" flag just as they were holding a sign saying "death to Khomeini" or "remember Neda" etc.
The truth is that the people there (ie me) got most of those flags from a few guys with boxes full of them who were passing them out to AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO WENT TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR THE PEOPLE OF IRAN WHO ARE FIGHTING/DYING FOR FREEDOM. Meanwhile, others focus their efforts on analyzing flags. Next, they'll check all the US flags to make sure there are 50 stars.
u know what they dont have to protest in washington they have to do it in iran they are the one who select their president now what ever happen in the world is not usa problem thas sucks.. i understand what is happening but there owne peolple have to protest and get that president out off the goverment they have to be all together

No war on Iran. Wake up and THINK. Do YOU want ANOTHER IRAQ style war??! There will be a lot more than 4000 Americans killed this time. Gas at $30 a gallon. Nuclear exchange and contamination of oilfields to make sure it stays that way. Massive debt, probably TRIPLE the already huge amount we have now! This means we will have massive inflation - $50 for a loaf of bread. Can't afford it, maybe you can seek relief in a FEMA camp. THINK before you let the media TRICK you into another WAR!
Yes, the flags were handed out - most people don't have handheld-size flags conveniently laying around at home - refer to my previous post about that flag not having monarchist connotations (because it has a symbol of the Persian Empire on it, and not Islamic motifs like the current one)
Also, yes, most everyone there was Iranian (I was there) - and no, we're not Arabs. Hence the comments about us looking "whiter" or "Hispanic". Meet some Iranians, attend an Iranian event - you'll broaden your cultural horizons while you're at it.
There were monarchists there, for sure, but it was not a monarchist rally. The use of the flag has been misconstrued in the comments section (read my previous posts) - one of the most common chants at that rally (and a rather unwieldy one at that) was "Secular Democracy for Iran!"
I have video of chants that I could upload to silence this tinfoil-hatted orgy of conspiracy-theorists. I'd planned on uploading, but neglected because the guy I got the most of - the white haired gentleman with the moustache - had weird, very long phrases that he was making up right then, throwing everyone off.
Though he did do well with his main phrase, "DEMOCRACY YES, THEOCRACY NO"
Most (as evidenced by what's going on in the country as we speak) are repulsed by the Islamic regime, and hence the Islamic symbolism on the Islamic Republic's current flag. The old flag has thence taken on a connotation of not necessarily being monarchist, but rather anti-Islamic Republic
4.)@Unklewitness: Read no. 3^^^, and on that note, allow me to demonstrate a point for the less Iran-savvy of us out there: The "Shir-o-Khorshid" (the flag you're looking at) has more than a monarchic connotation for most Iranians. (continued in next post)
1.) Most Iranians look "whiter" than many Americans envision them as being. Attend an Iranian event, and you'll see (and broaden your cultural horizons)
2.) Yes, the flags were new (I was there) not everyone conveniently has a handheld-size Iranian flag laying around their house.
3.)Yes, they are "real" Iranian flags (of the previous regime). There are plenty of them "in print".
This is all kinds of obvious. Pahlavi flags in front of the whitehouse. It appears that the free speech zone diktat was lifted for this symbolic event (protesting our own actually stolen elections was never allowed so close to the seat of power.) The Shah's son is all over the media being polished and primed to be installed. All the corporate media is one-sided and still no hard proof of a stolen election.
Come on i'm latino and i can tell some people here are of latino descent man this protest is propaganda try to sensitized the people to support a regime change in iran this fucken evil what the u.s. is doing what happening now is what happen in 1953 and what happen to saddam to he was deposed b/c he did not listen to global master
Someone had to order Khomeini and his Islamist thugs to be installed in Iran and sell cheap oil to western powers - get a brain. Islamic Republic is America's work, not the Shah, who in later years was talking of increasing oil prices and not selling oil cheap to the Americans.
@herrbutzie You are retarded, virtually every Iranian expat family has at least one flag of Imperial Iran in their home, no true Iranian supports the Pisslamic 'Republic'. Fuck off.
ROTFLMAO. Look at all of the idiots ready to bring back the Shah. I hope the Iranians are watching the frenzied drooling mob so willing to sell Iran down the river to Israel and repeat the overthrow of 1953 and install a puppet and the murderous SAVAK. These people are so stupid it is scary. Pahlavi is the stooge and the idiots supporting him are not for democracy and or anything that resemble it. Scary times indeed.
Pahlavi is just another U.S. government agent. He came from the exact same pentagon mold that produces the Chalabi's and various other dictator wannabee's.
It's so very sad to see people who are willing to sell their country out. The flags shown are the flags from when the Sha was in power...tells you who is behind these protests.

You are asking the wrong questions.
IMO, the important questions are:
1. Why would a sane person prefer a monarchy instead of a democracy?
2. Who is behind the printing and handing of an obsolete flag?
3. Who benefits from this kind of media coverage?
4. Why would the BBC, among others, try to deceive the public regarding what's really happening in Iran?
lifeflaw 2 years ago 4
5. Why is the USA government ignoring the undemocratic regimes of countries such as Egypt and Jordan while they care about "democracy for Iran"?
6. Why is the USA government ignoring the people killed in protests against their puppet regimes, but they are caring bout the death of "Neda"?
Until you can come up with some valid answers, I guess you are the one who should "read some books" and quick!
