If you have your foot on the brake the Prius will go into ready mode which means if you select drive and press the accelerator it will go. As posted previously pressing without holding the brake pedal down will switch to accessories or on mode. On mode allows the windows etc to be operated without the drive system being activated.
Pushing the POWER button without depressing the brake pedal cycles through the Accessory and ON modes. Pressing it with the brake pedal depress starts the car.
is it true that you can have to push the start button to turn on the batteries but to drive you have to push it again with the brake engaged and only last start to accelerate???
