Another great show. I was talking to my friends about the heath ledger debate, should he win an oscar? I mean we all argree he played a wonderfuly scary joker but would he win if he had'nt passed away? Normally oscars are given to actors who are older to celebrate there work as a whole, so will his death be another one of these reason to give away an award. Personally I'd love to see him win the best supporting actor, but where as the main lead, I'm on the fence.

Now, about the Oscars, if Ledger hadn't died, I doubt he'd even be nominated. Dark Knight and Gran Torino were easily two of the best movies of the year. People are going to long remember those movies, and watch them for years to come, unlike the usual self-important, overly self conscious movies that the snobs in the Academy nominate. So, why is it that people care about what a small group of old snobs think about movies?

Just have to say that his Australian fans are ignorant and selfish and arrogant in their notion that the Joker character should be retired for Heath Ledger. As good as any actor may be, no actor is bigger than the character they play. The Joker, as a character, is bigger than any actor who plays him. Actors come and go, but the character remains. People are letting their emotions override their intellect. It's not just Australian fans, either.
