Katsaris doesn`t have a bigger fan than me. Having said that I find it incredibly sad that he needs to appear alongside of a nefarious clown like Lang Lang. We all know the meaning of the word "compromise". Lang Lang doesn`t deserve to breath the same air with Katsaris yet he is much better known than K. I hope this compromise will help K to achieve the acclaim he deserves being the greatest pianist alive.

I found one review of this concert so far, with many color photos. Search "No loser in a night for piano" in Google. This review was published in China Daily. The review states, "to celebrate the ongoing Olympics, French soloist Cyprien Katsaris even performed an improvised version of a song to herald the Olympic spirits." The article states that this concert was a great success for all the pianists.

Katsaris played an improvisation on an ancient Greek melody, Chinese songs and various themes. The group played China Jubilee: Concerto for Ten Concert Grand Pianos and Orchestra, composed for the Olympics by Cui Shiguang.

Yes. The Olympic Centenary Piano Extravaganza concert will be broadcast. These solo and concerto performances take place on August 19. Then, Katsaris also makes a solo performance at this new massive futuristic National Grand Theater on August 21.

One article on Entremont said that, "This concert will be aired live on every major international media outlet." Other European media said that this event would be recorded and broadcast. I'll try to find the video. I read that, Katsaris played an "Improvisation on an ancient Greek melody, Chinese songs and various themes."
