  • oh nd if your disabled dont expect sdhs to let you help. its so bad i stoppe dodnating to them and have put my money to michigan hs and port st lucie fl.

  • ok people take the situation with ny to someplace dealing with it. this is about san diego dont take post space up and confuse the issue. please!

  • If anyone needs Information on or about the San Diego Humane Society...I have enough dirt on these pppl n this facility to satisfy any need...Ex employee...left because of these killings, will supply truthful information to help 'out' the wrong doings of this orginization. Enough is enough, the ramifications SDHS has faced in the past year has been rough, but not nearly enough to cause a change in how oporations are run. Healthy dogs Are PTS weekly, pleas from educated are thrown aside.

What can you tell me about Julie Bank and Debby Webber

  • This makes me so sad, we rescued a pit bull about 9 months ago. When we got her she was extremely shy, but never showed any aggression. We've been working with her, and now she is a healthy and happy dog. She's wonderful with our 5 year old daughter, and I hate to think that if we had taken her to a shelter, the way she was, she probably would have been killed. Unreal.

  • Can I call you? Or you me? 917 754 3537.

  • What do any of you know about Julie Bank. She is running Animal Care and Control of NYC. Into the ground. Please let us know anything we should know.

  • @lbleier Julie's just as bad as Mark. She sold out to SDHS in interest of money and not the animals and then moved on to cause havoc in another city. She is in it for her own power and not for the animals. Plain and simple as that. I have provided No Kill New York with some info on Julie as they asked for it.

  • @wrightck Can you call me 917 754 3537.

  • The SDHS better get their shit together! Damn them all!

  • Sunday October 3rd 1:00pm-3:00pm There will be a vigil outside of the Humane Society 55oo Gaines st. Please come and spread the word to anyone who cares for animals! We are all they have and "Dr." Mark has some questions to answer!

  • ... I can e-mail this out and put it on FB to share ... I know from reading this how unacceptable this is and how people, as the BA testers, all too often make judgments based on their emotions and prejudices ... so, awareness it a beginning but it is usually followed with the question, what can be done. If there is no answer the most important "second of impact" is lost as well as the momentum. So, what can be done or is that the need now, no one knows what to do only that this is going on?

  • The people that do these "tests" that all the dogs flunk and get sentenced to death for are straight out of Nazi Germany for dogs. Totally nuts, yet people fall for their crap. They would have made a lot more money had they gone into televangelism because they use the same tactics.

  • @lani: I m sorry that MAH rip you off. SDHS makes every cat adoption sign that waiver to cover their butts. It is all a legal paperwork. Many of the worker that you see everyday at SDHS-NC are there for the stray animals. They love working to help the innocent and really love that they can help those animals but big papa corporate SDHS is who hurting the animals. All animals do have to be spayed if rescued from a shelter NCHS only did those adopted to save money. Hayden ACT please look it up.

  • I was actually being trained to preform the assess-a-pet behavior test. I do not believe it is an accurate test of dog behavior it is a very subjective test and many of the people performing the test are afraid of larger breeds and pitbull breeds. Show a dog you are afraid of them and what is the reaction?

@arwen: the key word is ADOPTABLE, if the animal is deemed UNADOPTABLE or UNTREATABLE they are not killing an ADOPTABLE pet. Legalese! so basically the person perform BA is the executioner.

  • Hello as a former employee of SDHS- North Campus And proud to say I was fired because I tried to save some of these dogs in this video. I can name 95% of these dogs in this video. I am really crying because i knew that there assessments was unfair and now with there move to end the stray contract with Oceanside proves it. They are not there to help animals but to help people.

  • @sbmmmommy What do you know about Julie Bank's hand in all of this?

  • As I was leaving the shelter, 2 animal control officers brought in 2 friendly chocolate labs around closing time. I overheard them tell NCHS staff "Go ahead and euthanize them. We don't know anything about them."

  • I adopted a cat from N. County Humane and it was a miserable place. The staff admits not knowing much about cats and none were spayed. I offered to pay to fix all their cats and they gave me a blank stare. They're in cahoots with Mohnacky Animal Hospital. After I paid the $80 adoption, they made me sign a waiver saying I knew the cat had upper resp. infection. I ended up spending over $1200 for one cat after that hospital did more than I agreed to as far as tests and meds. Rip off!

  • We adopted one of these "unadoptable" dogs and I can't imagine how he ended up on the euthanasia list. This video only shows some of the dogs that have been saved and sadly, there are many others that were not fortunate enough to make it. Please consider fostering or donating funds to help legitimate rescues continue their cause.

  • That is so sad...and ridiculous. How can a shelter do so many horrible temperament tests and claim they never kill adoptable dogs?? What about all the dogs that were deemed unadoptable or untreatable and were killed?? This makes me livid...
