This is the commercial that started my Beast Wars toy addiction. As soon as I saw it I was all "WHOOOOOLLLY SHIIT!" then I had my mom take me up to Zellers and I bought both Megatron and Optimus

I have both Optimus Primal, and Megatron. They're both 100% complete, with all accessories. I bought them at a comic con last year. The seller I bought them form was EXTREMELY NICE! Optimus wa $60, but I talked the seller into selling him to me for $50 instead. And Megatron was only $30. That's the most perfect price for him. I've looked all over, and have realized that you can'tget Megatron for a cheaper price than that!

Actually that is a misconception. Initially the japanese writers did think that, but eventually knew better about it. Communication Problem on Hasbro's and Takara's part. Although going by the Toy Bios Optimus Prime = Optimus Primal, so it is no surprise that that happened.

Primus was the 'God' of the Transformers. In episodes of Beast Wars, Primal would say "By Primus, NOO!" Also sited the 'Book of Primus'

Primus was sometimes depicted as the good version of Unicron and was credited for creating Cybertron's techno surface.

According to the very first Beast Wars Toy Bios, and the comic released with the Two-back, the Beast Wars take place on modern-day earth, with Optimus Primal being an Upgrade of Prime and Megatron being, well Megatron, who has stolen T-Rex DNA from a human lab to get his current body. Also, Optimus is King Kong sized.

Keep in mind that those toys and their bios were made before the show. Later bios fit with the show.

Not quite.

The toys made before the show had Optimus Primal as a bat and Megatron as an alligator. The shows writers felt (and rightly so) a Gorilla and a T-Rex would be far more fitting for each respective character. These toys came during the show.

Just Hasbro has a twisted, kinda sadistic sense of humor (see: virtually every Transformers show after Beast Wars for proof)

Sure about that? But then again, a lot Toy Bios don't really match up with Fiction. Even those made during the show.

But my point holds true that in the Bios of those Toys Optimus upgraded himself into a gigantic Gorilla who fights Megatron who has done the same and became a normal sized T-Rex, as opposed to the show where another Optimus becomes a normal sized Gorilla, while another Megatron becomes a really small T-rex.
