  • lol 2:18 women "the things they do"

  • amazing. Yes, monitors are EXTREMELY smart, only a dis-compassionate moron couldn't see that. Then again, it must be that they are one of the many stupid human's, they don't like it that most other people are a lot smarter than they are and they have to find some way to feel superior. So they say lizards are dumb. Just pity them and don't worry about it.

  • That sure is a nice Savannah Monitor,You did a good job with it.Thanks

  • you just have to be "one with the lizard"

  • @varanid9 FYI, I've been hand feeding and feeding lizards food out of my mouth for over 20 yrs and never once have been bitten, for one when you raise a reptile such as an savi or even an iguana you learn its characteristics, and to say reptiles cannot be taught is not true, both of my big lizards one a mature male iggy and the other a male savi, BOTH know not to shit ANYWHERE other then in there shitting boxes, and both will stop on a dime from doing whatever it is their doing when i yell NO

  • @bleachyourwork I clearly state that they can learn things on their own, but you're full of shit if you're trying to imply that they recognize you as their "master". My remarks were directed to the idiot who was wanting to "teach" them by smacking them; reptiles and negative reinforcement: BAD idea.

  • @varanid9 LoL at you LiL comment to me.

  • It's AMAZING how gentle it is at 1:18!!

  • all of them learned just like children , I'm sure they got theyre butts SMACKED first time they bit

  • @toob247 Um, no, reptiles cannot be "taught", (though they can learn things on their own), so abusing your animal would be a bad idea.

  • @varanid9 dumbest fukin comment ever , these creatures learned that the care giver was not a threat dipshit , dont fukin wasste my time with dumbshit cant be fukin taught , uh have you ever even owned a big lizard , dont answer i dnt give a shit ,fukin waste

  • @toob247 I've raised and bred species your pea-brain never heard of, you jack-ass.

  • @varanid9 cool , congrats lizard whisperer.ive had some cool shit but i must admit i didnt too carried away , an alligator sounds cool but it just wouldnt be fair tothe creature , unless you have acres and acres and can have a secure fenced in pond. Do you have that ? Then i dont think its a good idea to have a tiger or a croc in a darn apartment.

  • @varanid9 Yes lizards can be taught,I have afew that comes to their names. I wish more people would work with their lizards because they are smarter then you think ! I will out a video responce on here to show you some of my lizards responding to their names, with and without food and outside.

  • beautiful Savannah !!!

  • yea I let my Komodos lick buffalo blood off my dick, no big deal......Xb

  • I cant say I could mouth feed my lizards its not that I do not trust em I just choice not to do it. But you do have some AWSOME looking animals!

  • ew what a nasty lizard, feeding from those peoples mouth

  • I dont care what any of you say, that granny feeding a monitor is awesome one of the missing natural wonders of the world

  • yup everyone's an expert on youtube

  • Don't put raw food on in your mouth and feed your lizard, 2x the risk of food salmonella. BTW these are lizards with teeth they sometimes miss..

  • DAMN NATURE YOU....gentle? :D

  • I usualy feed my snake thawd pinkies from my mouth.. its no big deal.. builds up the trust.

  • @poontankk Until they tag your eye....

  • love <333

  • @TheLizardowner: That goes for dogs too, probably more than for these animals.

  • This video is awesome. I would be very happy if i know how to tame reptiles like you do.This is why i dont buy savannah varanus because im afraid of that he grows up and bites hard.

  • aaawww. your guys trust you so much. How I have been working with my guy for about a month now. He's coming around little by little.

  • 00:15 Did Your Lizard Feed YOU?

  • yall need to watch that show Animal Hoarding

  • If you truly trust your lizards try using LESS food when you mouth feed, its not really trusting them when you have half a bloody french stick length of food between your lips lol

  • Aww that's the sweetest thing I've ever seen! Beautiful lizards <3 I'd love to have one, but unfortunately I'm unable to take care of it on my own and my husband won't take care of one for me. Ah well, I love my bunnies and guinea pigs, I'm happy with them right now :)

  • lol they think the lizard is a puppy dog... next time throw him the ball and see if he brings it back..

  • cool ass trick at 0:14

  • how and why is ur monitor so affectionit i need mine 2 be that way

  • OMG it's like a puppy dog!! :)

  • they are so gentle with the kids just like the knew how easy they could be hurt or scared, absolutly amazing haha

  • Ahhhh sweet babies. I know very little about monitors, I wish I knew more, but these babies seem so gentle, you must have done something right to get them that way!! Your kids are so lucky being raised to love and appreciate reptiles. I was discouraged as a kid (beaten for handling a garter snake, "derrr facepalm" my birth mom was a drunken crackhead), even though I was in love with snakes from day one. I hope you have a long happy life with these awesome animals and your kids too.

  • Do monitors and other lizards bite?

  • @zandyinc Some lizards do but savannah monitors are quite laid back.

  • @zandyinc lol your monitor isnt a total twat when you open his cage, hissing tail whipping etc hes too cold

  • LOVE it.. I have a lil guy but it's a lil timid,, how can I train it like you do your's? any tips? Plz let me know id love to do that with mine one day.

  • Great vid. Have you or could you put out the info on how you got them so tame and healthy? Beautiful animals.

  • T_T I miss mine he passed away last year...We figured it was a birth defect of some kind..he only got 2 feet and was 4 years old..took him to 3 vets..didn't seem to help..I don't know if I will ever find one as nice and loving as him..I raised him from a hatchling and he got along with my bearded dragon

  • jesus christ your disgusting. I hope your not married, id feel horrible for your husband

  • honestly thats pretty gross feeding them from your mouth

  • Well done at taming them.

  • please.....for the love of budda just let me do my homework. DARN YOU YOUTUBE!!!!

  • They ARE mindless eating machines! They are just sitting in wait for their captors to become old & feeble so that they can bite off their fingers & toes while they sleep! (I'm totally kidding...I so want to get another Sav someday!)

  • Sorry but mouth feeding your animal if fucking disgusting...

  • My suggestion get savannahs when they are young, I had one 16yrs ago he hated my ex-husband would not let him handle him but he was fine with me.

  • lol like this the part were the lizard puts it in her mouth was played backwards not hating this is still a cool video

  • かわいい!(KAWAII)

  • your an idiot monitors can give that child a severe bite or even take off a finger why would you put your child in that spot lol people who think thses reps are tame lol fools I would never do that to my kid

  • They're adorable. This shows that reptiles aren't really ugly or evil or icky. They're just like dogs or cats, only they have scales.

  • I hope my Asian water monitor is that tame later on. He's only 4 months old but really jumpy I try to handle him an hour a day but he's to wild sometimes. Taming tips?

  • Maaannn, I've always wanted a pet monitor as a kid!!! shhiiiiit, I wanted to a pet T-Rex and ride that beast to school as a kid!!!

  • they do die at a young age if u would like more info email me

  • wtfwhy woul u put a mealworm in your mouth and then let the monitor eat it

  • now thats awesome

  • SO cool video.... and very awesome animals....

  • Getting sav pup saturday :D

  • theyre so cute

  • i wish she was my grandma

  • It's like a baby dinosaur.

  • Ya know, there's always people posting shit about what you can or cannot do. Like hand feeding or mouth feeding is wrong and bad, whatever, there's nothing wrong with it. It only builds trust and bond. Hell I've fed some of my snakes by hand, ones that I know I can trust enough. Some people always got something to say, but this video is a great video and shows a lot of character. So all you nay sayers who think you know it all should just stfu and keep your ignorance to yourself. Have a nice day

  • @bleachyourwork ill back bleach here to many people thnking they know more than you because they ahve heard this or watched some dumbass movie about man eating geckos lol i have 2 burmese pythons and a bosc monitor i feed from my hand the snake are a little less agressive than other burmese that are tong fed as the snakes know if they bite me i aint gonna be happy and they dont get out for a week and my burms absoutly love being out its gotten to a point now i shut the room door open the cage

  • @bleachyourwork The issue is A) the food reptiles eat can cause food born illnesses,B savannah monitors have teeth, they do miss sometimes miss. I own both, snakes and a savannah monitor and i just toss my reptiles food saves should be eating a high insect diet) but will use my hands if the snake is picky about f/t.This lady is an issue as she has wrote a book on how to care for them but fails to provide proper housing causing untimely deaths, also she is feeding them the wrong diet...

  • @bleachyourwork I use to feed my bearded dragon from my palm till he got too big for my forearm lol, my iguana use to sit on my shoulder and eat lettuce from my mouth. fantastic bonds you can have with lizards. Rip george and spike.

  • @bleachyourwork And you're a dumbass; all it takes is one time for a fucking idiot like you to lose a body part that WON'T grow back. Also, they often possess bacteria that you DON'T want in your system. But since I know you'll break bad, talk shit and continue to think like trailer trash, have a nice life as a stupid fuck.

  • I work in a reptile shop and i care for around 12 bosc monitors, in my view they are the best monitor if you spend alot of time with them. :D

  • I have a black throat and he is not aggressive, doesn't hiss, tail whip, or threaten to bite. This video, however, is just ridiculous and kind of disgusting.

At the end of the day, they are very able predators and can rip a face apart in no time.

These people are gambling and I would never recommend mouth to mouth feeding with any reptile.

  • no try 17 to 20 years

  • how the hell did you tame it?

  • I would love to have a monitor lizard, the only thing i could think of to ask is what do they eat? what can they eat? what were they feeding them in this video?

  • adorable

  • Mouth feeding is so dangerous... I can't believe some people. Varanus Exanthematicus is a WILD ANIMAL. Some kid is going to "mouth feed" a monitor one day and get their face mauled. Then responsible reptile keepers get to feel the pressure of a possible ban of monitors because people were stupid. UGH.

  • Some seriously well loved lizards there

  • im sorry but did your fucking monitor feed you!

  • what kind of bedding do you use, if any at all. also, how big enclosures?

  • @vauhxtn the minimum Savanna Monitor Encloser is an 8x4x4 for a full grown one but the bigger the better and this video gives of the wrong idea heres a site that will give you the correct info that your looking for by the way be ready to spend atleast a few thousand for the Monitor ill message you the site.

  • wow 1 day that monitor is ganna snap and kill 1 of thoes kids.... this is y there r python bands and this is y they r starting another ban 4 monitors.....thanks 4 contributing to to congresses bill against exzotic pets

  • Comment removed

  • @krazykraut86 I doubt VERY much that this monitor will one day kill a person?? It`s people like YOU who contribute to the proposed bans, with your wildly exaggerated comments and it`s YOU who helps give animals like these such a bad reputation !!

  • @ornatusvaranid Exactly, my stance on this is unless you've had any experience with a monitor and personally know their temperament, do have a nice tall glass of shut the fuck up because clearly you don't know what you're talking about. A poodle could savage a full grown man if it wanted to or was irresponsibly put in a position where it could, same as most animals have the ability, as do humans, the difference is as handlers we respect our pets enough not to put them in that position.

  • @polkadotpants Are you telling me to shut up? I wasn`t criicising you, It was krazykraut86!!??

  • @ornatusvaranid I was telling that prick to stfu ><

  • eeeeewwwwww at the start of the vid u had a worm in ur mouth :P

  • @HookaHxKandi im selling my young argentine black and white tegu if your really interested! urgently needs a good home

  • I really don't get the naked girl covering her breast with a Tegu at 2:18

  • hello such a question that is what they feed on the minute 0:30 thanks

  • Comment removed

  • i liked the savannah and the black throat, but tell me that one at the end is some sort of hybrid, cause it is gigantic if its just a savannah

    -Dan

  • THAT IS SO FKIN COOL! Thank you for showing that even reptoids can love and be loved lolz

  • Reptiles r not mindless killing machines they r opportunist. They will bite u tame or not. I am a vet student & have a savannah monitor who has never bit anyone in 3years of his life until tonight! He almost broke my thumb! Monitors stress easily & if fed live prey will associate ur fingers as food! I looked away for 2 sec after feedin him 2 close his cage & he lunged & got me! They can be real chill but u have 2 understand they WILL bite u if u give them the opportunity. They r instinct driven!

  • @rockerbaby2010 Very interesting, but I heard that komodo dragon is the most intelligent lizard.

  • @rockerbaby2010 my monitor has had 'opportunity' every day of her life for over 2 years now, I hand feed her mice and give her cuddles and kisses after observing her behaviours and making a judgement on her mood. You said you looked away for 2 seconds, that's one thing I'd never do, always show that you're vigilent with any animal. I've known monitors that never bit their whole lives, monitors are like us that way, doesn't mean either shouldn't be around though, be sensible and exercise caution.

  • @polkadotpants Hi, what species of moniotor do you keep?

  • This is so awesome, how do you get a monitor this chill, tolerable, and trusting of you.

  • @BrooklynBoas Alot of hard work, good food and insane trust lol, but it pays off

  • the part where the granny on the lawn pets it , is funny. most grannies would run away.

  • WHAT TYPE OF POKEMON IS THAT!?!?!?!

  • @MrSummerisHOT Nice one hahaha

  • @MrSummerisHOT

    ahahahahaa

  • AWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT ONE

  • what are u talking about..

  • I'm loooking to get a monitor or a tegu, i want something that makes a good pet, something that doesnt mind being handled and thatll grow to 4 or 5ft or so, what would you suggest ?

  • @rrredzzz

    a girl would be good.

    I don't have any reptiles.

I just made that vid to troll the dummies who say reptiles are mindless eating machines.

  • @AlisterCrawly wat do u mean by a girl

  • @rrredzzz

girls are kind of like you and me, but softer with round parts and usually better smelling.

    :)

  • @AlisterCrawly why don't you shut the fuck up and answer the damn question instead of being a retard and giving a obvious answer.

  • @AlisterCrawly

pacman frogs are mindless eating machines, thats foshure

  • @rrredzzz i dont know if u made your mind up about what type of lizard to get but if i was u i would get a savannah monitor bcuz they get super tame fulle grown 3 to 4 feet but all depends on the care and they are easier to care for them then tegus

  • @rrredzzz If you're not afraid of a little hard work to tame and make a good setup I'd really recommend a bosc monitor, they make awesome companions and are as tame as you train them to be, they grow above 4-5 foot, need daily handling and exercise - when the weather is warm enough I take mine out for walks in the park, she loves snuffling through the grass, they also love a warm bath, smimming and diving, hard work but very worth it.

  • @polkadotpants Hi, do you have any videos of your monitor, it would be nice to see him/her? Thanks!

  • @ornatusvaranid I do, My gorgeous pets 1&2, Zelda's best day ever (if it's not blocked), Dylan, Maya, Zelda and Hemi eating

  • @polkadotpants Where can I see the videos?

  • @rrredzzz an argentine black and white tegu. i have a boy and he is such a sweetie. sleeps next to me at night, loves being pet...never opened his mouth once out of aggression. say part is i have to sell him or give him away because im going to college next year. if your interested let me know, ill sell him cheap

  • @rrredzzz a monitor is a tegu u dumbass god people just think one day imma wake up and buy a monitor without knowing shit...prolly doesn't even know where they come from find a monitor that catches your eyes read up about them for a month or two than make your pick....prolly would end up killing that poor thing

  • @dmoneyxxx101 Youre a fucking idiot first of all, i never spoke to you so go fuck yourself, i care for Snakes, dotn know much about monitors and clearly i never asked you anything so again, go fuck yourself

  • @rrredzzz lol ya you like snakes better cus you prolly be playing with yours 10 times a day and snakes don't have the personally like monitors fucking weak never wanna sit still

  • @dmoneyxxx101 clearly youre a 10year old.

  • @dmoneyxxx101 A monitor is NOT a tegu. Tegus belong to the Teiidae family--the whiptails. Monitors are their own superfamily Varanoidea.

Funny how you say something completely stupid and then call someone a 'dumbass'.

  • @rrredzzz get a tegu... their alot more easire to tame. I have 3 and i would consider getting a Argentine Red or Black and White. Columbian tegus are more aggresive and harder to tame.

  • @bigdave1244dfaf i like savannahs :(

  • @rrredzzz hey man ive recently started taking care of reptiles myself i dnt know about one that big from PERSONAL experience but from experience of my freinds i can recomend if you want a BIG Lizard a Monitor but they CAN get bigger but AVERAGE is 3-5 feet, PERSONALLY i love my Bearded Dragons they grow to just under 2 feet, LOVE being handeled and are dead easy to look after if you can offer it love when u can!

  • @rrredzzz tegus are great pets and a little easier to tame then monitors if it size ur interested in then get a giant black and white tegu. other wise get an argentine red tegu =D

  • @rrredzzz he says he doesnt have any reptiles because he killed them all. This guy bought a few savannah monitors and a black throat and slowly killed them by letting them roam the house and feeding them some kind of food that he made. The problem came when he went to the forums and and tried to convince everyone that we should mistreat our animals as well in order to "tame" them. Of course all of his animals died, he was reported to authorities, and he was banned from all reptile forums.

  • @rrredzzz tegu have you seen how big they get???

  • @rrredzzz savanna monitor is very good also Argentine Black and White Tegu are good too

  • @rrredzzz argentine black and white tegu is exactly what you need!

  • @rrredzzz A dog!!!

  • @rrredzzz

i have both a savannah and a argentine black and white tegu....they can all make good pets in how you raise them....my friend also has a savannah and it is mean as hell....i cant even hold it without welding gloves.....one word of advice....NO LIVE FOOD.....feed them prekilled food or if you get a tegu you can mix in some fruits and veggies....good luck man

  • @rrredzzz a perfict pet that fits that description would be an argentine red or black&white tegu

  • @rrredzzz get a argentine black and white tegu they are Dog tame and i mean it, but if u want a monitor go with a savannah, black throat or white throat all three of those are get im goin to get a savannah soon!!

  • ppl say that they die at a yuong age is that true

  • @TheKraiger

    survey some owners.

    I've heard 5 - 10 years.

  • @TheKraiger not realy, like any animal if u treat it like shit, it will die young. but a properly treated savannah monitor will easly live 10 yrs in some cases as much as 12-14yrs

  • @TheKraiger A healthy bosc monitor can last anywhere upto 50 years - 5 to 10 years generally applies to bosc monitors in the wild

  • @polkadotpants Not sure where you get they can live for 50 years, maybe 15 to 20 if properly cared for.

I agree, in many (but NOT all cases by any stretch of the imagination), they can be as tame as you make them, but it takes lots of time and patience!

  • @ornatusvaranid Because myself, staff at the local petshop and specialist breeders have heard of the odd case and witnessed monitors of around 25-30, backed by a local exotic vet, it's rare but not entirely impossible, some very old savs. I guess it's the same with humans, we won't all reach 100 but every so often you hear of somebody surpassing it.

  • @polkadotpants finding a monitor that old though I imagine would be like trying to find a sasquatch, it's funny how so many people have heard of them reaching that age but looking for a link to show you I can't actually find anything solid, I was excited when I heard that but starting to think it's just one of those rumours; still for a vet to estimate upto 30 is amazing, I hope my cutie pie can live that long

  • @polkadotpants Rumours, just rumours!! I agree, it would be very nice if they did get to that age, but 15 to 20yrs is excellent; if you can keep them alive and healthy that long, you`ve done a good job!

Working in a pet shop, or being an exotic vet doesn`t mean they have a great knowledge of these animals.

  • @polkadotpants I don`t know where you get they can live for 50 years from, I would say 15 to 20 yrs if properly cared for!

  • @TheKraiger A properly cared for sav can live 20 years. The problem is with owners getting them and then feeding them all the wrong things. The leading cause of death in captive savs is obesity.

  • @TheKraiger Mine is 6 years old right now, and hes still going strong.. :)

  • @TheKraiger I know this is posted about 9 months ago, but the lifespan of a monitor really depends on the species.

  • great video i loved it!! check out my ornate nile on my channel smoshavision

  • geez. you people are creeps.

  • Cutest savs ever!! I love it when they're taking food from people all nice like "I'll just have this kthx" I hope I can give as much love and care to Miles and Tremor, my new pair of baby savs.

  • 2:49 = win

  • what are those cubes you are feeding them

  • thats just wrong, baby and ruthless heartless cold blooded hunter. Good stuff ass tards

  • awwwww... good lizards! lol

  • freaks y do u like lick it weirdo monitor molesters

  • @ 1:00 i expected Chris Hansen to walk into the room and ask the lizard to have a seat

  • love this vid! we've just got our first Bosc yesterday a tiny baby. Cant wait to watch him grow.

  • Who said dogs are man's only best friend!

  • What are they feeding it? I thought Savannah Monitors only eat meat??

  • I WANNA MONITOR LIZARD! XD

  • @Ortizsensei They are the perfect pets, you check out my two, Media and Ivy.

  • @Ortizsensei im selling my tegu! hes dog tame and such a sweetie..let me know if your interested!

  • i had a sav.. named mojo he was great i could take him out side to sun bask and he would never stray far from me i would hold him every day from the time he hatched so he would be very tame

  • Do you breed them? How do you get them and keep them so tame?

  • wow that is amazing how tame they are can you share your secrect with me

  • Good video! It shows they are and can be tame. They are very smart and can learn not to attack. My sav will climb out of his cage, up my shirt and chill on my shoulder. He wwalks around my house with 2 dogs and three cats with out even the hint of aggressiveness or fear. I need to get some good vids up rather than just feeding time.

  • @MrPhilyslym Do a playtime video

  • haha my buddy has a monitor and he also likes have it grab food from his mouth. One day i told him to put a cricket in his mouth for Liz. When she grabbed for it, she smashed it. He was spitting out bug parts which made me vomit. Good times!!

  • As someone who has always thought that reptiles were creepy, I have to say that yours are amazing. I never knew monitors could be so tame and loving. They seem as good of a pet as any cat or dog. I've been thinking about getting a new pet, but because of my allergies to any thing furry I thought that finding a loving pet would be impossible. Maybe I should look in to getting a monitor?

  • you have a very nice savannah monitor

  • oooc'est mimi j'adore!
