Guys, since the patch... I haven't found a single champagne bottle... I've did this trick 10 times an all I got was lemon juice and alcohol. I decided to just give up and drank myself to death.

i find that when you get to the hotel kitchen go do some exploring, lots of zombies and there are refrigerators along the walls with mostly brand champagne.

@coolnk93 Here's a good tip: DO NOT DIE.

Another good one: KILL ZOMBIES.

One other great one: TALK TO PEOPLE.

Seriously though, the biggest tip is to play to your character's strengths, or you're fucked. I like bashing heads in, so I played as Sam B my first playthrough, and it worked out so well I only died on the boss. I know that if I played as Xian and used blunt weapons non-stop, I'd be fucked sideways like a gangbang on a friday night.

Not to say you can't use other weapons, though.

@ReaperTeh im playing through with xian, its easy at first becasue theres a lot of sharp weapons kickin it around but later on when weapons are harder to find its tough

@ReaperTeh You beat the whole game w/o dying but then died against the boss? i found that highly unlikely i died 32 times my first game and killed the boss in about 10 seconds

i only died once with my char too (sam B) and that was at the prison, when u have to get to block C and theres about 9 or 10 infected coming at u at the same time. i didnt die anywhere other. its possible if u really take care.

the boss was lame. he died way too quick. i used my rage once, he was dead before my rage has stopped, i was really dissapointed.

once you get closer to having all the diamonds you need to make all the dev mods, they start appearing less and less, sometimes as many as three trips back to the lab before i got another champagne. also be sure to rob the 3 safes and the third fridge which is in the further room with a safe. I'm kind of a bit gutted now that I have finished the game at lvl 50 and have all the dev mods and there isn't much point in playing anymore. The fight controls are definitely one of the best in a game.

You can actually get back to the supermarket after beating that level, but good luck finding it without a map amidst traveling the chaos that is the sewers. That place is suicide in a nutshell. This one seems to work well and if you do the hotel early on by going into the kitchen, it works just as well. Just don't go all the way through the kitchen to beat the mission. Otherwise its apparently locked.

@iMrMagnifesent I'm actually on that mission right now, but I can't go back to the kitchen. I'll just have to farm in the supermarket instead. It's no big deal though - 2nd playthrough. I'm only really interested in the skull weapons this time around so I'm not upset.
