  • Man if this were cheaper and had a utilitarian software option I would want one of these in a heartbeat

  • As she say a "nice Toy go out and shoot"

I just ordered mine at Vienna Flagshipstore an dem say mi get it

very first but still 40 - 50 days.

A crazy Recorder dat, mad if U use it proper.

  • As far as codec, it is printed on the camera AVCHD. Dual stream (3G) format is not available for consumers as play back format. Editing software is available but it is expensive. Cineform NEO3D, Smoke, FCP plug in Tim Dashwood 3D toolbox. Sony PLEASE MAKE IT USER FRIENDLY! PLEASE DO NOT REINVENT THE WHILE. AND PLEASE CALL IT THE RIGHT NAME STEREOSCOPIC AND NOT 3D

  • sorry for the typo WHEEL

  • All consumer 3D TV's can do one of two formats side by side or top and bottom. Remember top and bottom is progressive format only (this camcorder is not 720P or 1080P), this leaves only one format as the result SIDE BY SIDE.

  • I do not understand, why Sony misleading all potential costumers. Reality is simple 2 lenses, 2 chips, 2 possessors, well it looks like a dual stream or side by side format to me.

  • @EarlJules I can clarify-The video is correct. It’s true the latest Sony Vegas Pro software supports a variety of 3D formats, the real detail comes from the codec the TD10 supports. It’s about how the two AVCHD files are wrapped as a 3D video which is still getting figured out. Editing software manufacturers (including Sony Vegas Pro) are awaiting the patch for this new codec when it’s announced. There’s a video on our YTpage that talks about this in more detail. Hope this info is helpful.

  • @sonyelectronics Jesus Christ! I've seen so many people posting the same thing about Vegas Pro 10 being able to edit in 3D. It's like they're not even reading the rest of the comments. About the camera,... It looks really cool but I'll stick with the NEX-VG10.

  • I mean if its flash memory your gonna get huge amounts of video compression compared to say a Compact Flash Card or an HDD.

  • Would be great if a new version of FCP could edit this format. I guess Vegas will do it first though.

  • lol "Who wants to spend time sitting at home editing?" ermm.. the answer is: Every person who whats to share what they've shot, every filmmaker, every enthusiast, every person with a youtube account, every person who fills up the camera's hard drive... etc etc Jeez woman! lol
  • how MUCH MATE><

  • yeah cuz editing doesnt matter at all. wtf. who does she think she is? okay so this vid is edited. i dont want to know wat it would be like if it wasnt...

  • 1.Wow" DOUBLE 3D HD video" ? -> than maybe you could do some sort of 3D HDR video hahaha

2.Well you sure are " the first ones to do DOUBLE 3D Full HD " hahah

3."No editing software available"...what about Sony Vegas 10 heh? Dedicated stereoscopic workflow, actually my reason for switching from CS5, or did should I understand it as Vegas 10 still does not support ingesting MVC codec ?

4."Who wants to sit at home and spend time editing ?" - are you serious ?

Sorry Amy, but you FAILED Sony!

  • @iwatch3d I can clarify. Though Sony Vegas Pro supports a wide variety of 3D formats, they are currently awaiting a patch for content from this camera to work...I cannot fit the full explanation here due to the character limit but in our CES Your Questions Answered video on our main channel page, it explains the full info. Hope this is helpful

  • i paid big bucks for an XBR2 a few years back and plan to run it to the ground.. so, no 3dtv for me for a long while..lol

  • Sony... I think you got this one RIGHT... can't wait to get one ... but I still LIKE my OTHER 3D camcorder ... CLICK my USERNAME now to see WHY... Thanks

  • No MPEG-4 MVC Authoring for Blu-ray Disc available?

Kein (bezahlbares) MPEG-4-MVC-Authoring für Blu-ray verfügbar? Was soll ich dann mit einer 3D-Kamera? Hallo Sony, Adobe, Apple, ...! Munter werden!

  • GREAT news

  • 1500 dollars not everybody lives in richland

  • This girl is clueless that Sony Vegas 10 edits in 3D, it's actually one of the selling features of it. And she says "there is currently no 3D editing software, and who wants to sit home and edit anyway..." Helloo... Sony....

  • @dibbers I can help clarify. Amy is actually correct in the video :) Though the recent version of Sony Vegas Pro supports a lot of 3D formats, they will need a patch in order to edit content from this camera (it's about how the files are wrapped in a 3D video, aka codec). There's more info on the codec and this explanation in a video on the main Sony Electronics channel. I couldn't fit it all here :) Hope this is helpful

  • A price point of $1000 is more reasonable

  • Sony missed a huge opportunity with her saying that there is NO editing software available right now. Helllooooo! Vegas Pro 10! WTF?

  • @HOGWILDTV Thanks for posting. We wanted to be upfront in the video to folks as even Vegas Pro 10 currently does not support the codec this camera uses. There's more deets in a video we posted answering CES questions from viewers. Though we do expect more info on this prior to the camera shipping. Hope this was helpful.

  • No editing software??? Sony VEGAS Pro 10 is 3D capable! I can't believe she doesn't know that!!

  • Leave it to Sony to not know that their own software edits 3d. Unfortunately as good as Sony Vegas Pro is they have never really put their full support behind it since they bought it from Sonic Foundry.

  • So this lady working for Sony says there is no editing software available right now for working with the 3D footage from this camera? Seriously?

  • "GO OUT FOR SHOOT, HAVE FUN WITH IT! "

IT'S MUCH BETTER "THAN MAKE IT BELIEVE"~

  • Sony no.1

  • Fantastic! 2D AND 3D! Now that was a great idea. Being able to use watch the recorded images back in 3D on the built-in screen WITHOUT glasses, wow! That's another great one. HD and Sony quality make this bad boy on my purchasing as soon as it's released. I wonder what it records to? SD cards SDHC cards, internal memory, etc. Any max capacity? Image stabiliser? Night shot lux rating? Bluetooth? WiFi? EyeFi? Remote controller? Photo snap function for 2D & 3D? Sound quality, Tripod & light holder?

  • @jackdanielmason well the regular old 2d sony handycams record in VOB, im sure the 3D format would be different

  • 3:42 typo lol its April* nor Apri

  • "who cares about editing"?

  • Man that thing is fucking huge I would just get the panasonic 3d camcorder smaller and easier to use

  • Sony Vegas does 3D editing. Will this camera not work on Sony Vegas?

  • Hello !

Does anybody know if the camera has a AV/R connector to be controllded by a lanc controller ?

  • Hello !

Does anybody know if the camera has a AV/R connector to be controllded by a lanc controller ?

  • Maybe 3d isn't a fad after all 0,0

  • No editing software? Adobe CS5 will do 3D editing. Love my old HDR-SR10...I might have to upgrade now.

  • I'd gladly trade my Samsung Camcorder for one of 'em.

  • Questions that needed to be asked:

Any HDMI-in to view 3D media on the device's own display?

If a recording is in 3D, can it be converted by the camera/software to 2D to be edited by computer?

    Storage space?

  • didn't even get my tv yet......

  • wUAAAOOO

  • $1500!!!!:O

  • @ChrisAstro30 u can get the smaller camera for $350- its HD and 3D too

  • no 3d editing software = useless camer\

  • @technologyms actually as far as I know, Adobe After Effects has 3D Authoring, so does Sony Vegas Pro

  • cool. but pointless

  • sony is best 'nuff said

  • Soooo what.... 30 bucks?

  • first comment oh ya.that is sssooo cool. when you put the videos that you took on that camera and put it on to a video editing software and play around with it then put it on youtube will the video still be 3D?
