  • Will this work with a "Unit In Safeguard mode? Because I have a jvc mini dv camcorder with that error.

  • @adamkleinschmidt2003 I don't know. But you may always try :)

  • @daanbrg it didn't work :(

  • Hi, I I do not get the error code, The cassette holder just does not close. I am going to try leaving it for 3-4 weeks but if it doesn't work do you have SONY info. for repairs?

  • yo tengo el error E 61 10 en una videocama dcr hc40 de sony y el enfoque automatico ya no sirve como puedo arreglar esto.-----i have the error E 61 10 in camcorder DCR HC40 of sony, how i can fix it?

  • i just left my handycam at sony! i wish i saw this before i went. still 3-4 weeks??

  • @MsKarebear10 It depends; if you know where the date battery is and can get to it without demolishing half of the camera, then just take that thing out for about five minutes, and then place it back. Otherwise, you'll have to run it out of power, and the only way of accomplishing that when it's in there is by not feeding it any power long enough.

  • Stop! All you have to do is take the charging plug out, battery out. Leave it for a minute, plug in charging plug-only and push the tape back in. The feed will take now. Put battery back on and you are good to go

  • @IgliSpahija No, back then, I tried that. To no avail, of course :)

  • ok explain this one, my camera was sat for a few months with no battery attached as i was moving house and the battery came off as i was packing and i didnt bother to put it back on. once i eventually needed to use it again after about 3 months i have the 32:11 problem!!! so thats basically the opposite of what you are saying to me!!! any ideas??

  • Sony DCR H28... Has more then one issue, and that's too many, I'm not seeing much longevity from this, as suggested, keep from ejecting tapes when that mode wheel is worn, I assume, it's just not dependable. I am documenting my use of it, it was bought suspected to work but lacking parts

  • FASTER SOLUTION: (SONY HC27E Error 32:11)

Open the Camcorder and remove the battery. Wait for 60 seconds. Replace it.

Turn the camcorder on and close the door.

  • @ExecutiveDmitri BE AWARE:

YOU MAY VOID THE WARRANTY IF U DO THIS.

  • @ExecutiveDmitri FORGOT TO ADD:

You'll need to look for the coin type battery in the camcorder. Mine was slightly below the front lense.

  • on my JVC Camcorder i move the scroll to record but my gallery pops up. Do you know how to fix that ?

  • @XxzeroteenXx No, sorry. I'm more of a pro user of (bigger, TV) cameras, I'm not a technician of them. If you'd give me a screwdriver and one of these, I'd be running away, screaming. I don't have any 'inside guts' knowledge about these things whatsoever...

  • @XxzeroteenXx That more sounds like a software-problem... Much luck fixing that...

  • On my Sony HC-28 handycam, I used the reset button (Power off, open the viewfinder, it's a little hole on camera body marked Reset and poke a paper clip in there). All worked fine until I reset the clock and then the same problem recurred where I couldn't load a tape. I can live without having a time/date stamp on my handycam. It seems that daanbrg is correct as it appears to be a software glitch. Thanks for steering me in the right direction as otherwise this would have been a throwaway.

  • O hell no thats to long. Like this same thing happen to me and its keep fucking up man, is there another solution to fix it?

  • Daanbrg, what about error 32:23? have you a solution for that one?

  • @rikjam I have never heard of that error, to be honest. But since it's a C-error as well, it should be an easy fix. If I'm right, the solution of this video should work as well. But I cannot give any guarantees as I don't have the camcorder in my hands.

  • I had the same problem with my Sony HDR-HC5. This time pulling the battery out while holding the loader closed didn’t fix it!!!!!!! But something you said did help. When you talked about a software glitch and the date and time setting, I decided to try pushing the “reset” button on my camera. On my camera there is a tiny hole on the body of the camera when you open the LCD marked reset. I had to use small piece of wire (paper clip) to push the inside button. It instantly worked!

    Thanks again

  • @ProgressiveTV That's really great! Congrats on getting it working again. I guess someone should start a web page collecting all of the methods that might work ;)

  • When I first bought my camcorder I had to put a button cell in it. So if this happened to mine I would just have to take the button cell out then put it back in
