im proud to say i own and drive a 1989 2cv.I work on jags and aston martins monday to friday,but nothing makes me smile more than dear old "edith" lol

I just googled this programme, it was made in 1986, 4 years before the final 2CV rolled off the production line in 1990!!!

Thanks for the info! The plant in Paris has been demolished right after they stopped production there (in 1987?). The last 2CV's were made in Portugal.
Most of the old men showed in this program will be dead by now...

It wouldn't surprise me if the guys had passed away, after all, it's about 21 years since the programme was aired, I wouldn't mind finding a tape of it though!!! But yes, the last 2CVs were portuguese made and unfortunately most have probably fallen apart by now due to the lack of care when building the vehicles... :(
