@Ptorrescardona : I am not sure if its right, but I heard that it is a system to avoid bird strike............these flashing lights are mounted on a lot of medevac&police helicopters.
Theres nothing "weird" about that landing. The pilot will routinely shut the rotors/turbine (not propellers - those are on fixed wing aircraft) off and then re-spool back up when the patient(s) are loaded. This is normally when they have an extended extrication, etc. The only time there is a "hot-load," is when the patient is already extricated, prepackaged and ready to go. Otherwise, the flight crew may have to do advanced airways (RSI), addt'l IVs EJs etc before taking flight.
was that thing giving out morse codes, or whats with the flashing headlights?

Great follow -- great flying too! Here on the East Coast we wouldn't choose that LZ because it would be a power climb.

@EuropaBloke Sorry I didn't get the takeoff, but I filled up the memory chip. I'd only intended to take stills.

@rafowell That's what I'd figured, but no worries mate, the footage was still well worth watching.
Cheers!

A great show of airmanship getting that in there. A tight spot for a lesser pilot but not for a County driver!
