  • If you don't realize that Sarah mclachlan ranks among the best singer-songwriters of all time you can go fuck yourself. Her voice sends shivers down my spine

  • wow, a bad video of a bad remake of a song. pretty bad.

  • i love this. I have almost forgotten how big a fan of I am of Sarah.

  • j'adore cette chanteuse bravo

  • this is amazingg :O

  • She has a beautiful voice. One of the most modest covers of a Beatles song that I've seen. She transposed up because her voice is obviously higher than Paul's. Nice job overall. Stuck almost completely to the original, which I find to be quite impressive.

  • Paul was a trumpet player and usually tunes his guitar one whole step down; hence, for example, Yesterday in is F but he plays it in G.

  • F to G is a whole step up.

  • lol thas what i was thinkin....yuppp

  • Seems totally out of sync. Nice anyway.

  • so many people have covered it but if u like any of the covers listen to the original none of the covers can touch what the beatles did

  • thats what you think

    and i agree

  • so true...no one can express the song better than the songwriter himself

  • leben shleben

  • what if the song writer can't sing.

  • I never thought of it, I thought all song writers could sing.

  • people argue about bob dylan ..ie songs like "to feel my love" that he cant sing the song but writes it better idk

  • I was at this concert. She was amazing and I met some great people in the audience.

  • i love this tune so much ive recorded a version if anyone would like to listen

the guitar does not speed up like in this one

    Beatles forever x

  • c flat

  • uh Cflat is B, and this is in A (440), the original is in G.

  • does anyone know what key signature this is in?

  • the key is A, the original is in G

  • If your really want to hear a great cover of this song, listen to Sylvester's version recorded live in 1979 with The Two Tons (Martha Wash and Izora Rhodes -- The Weather Girls) doing back-up. It was released on Sylvester's Living Proof cd. It's brilliant!

  • This has been covered by so many artists; wish I could write a song that so many people want to sing.

  • Yes it's a great song. My favorite cover is CSN.

  • love it it rocks

  • fantastic... love this song. Encourage everyone to try to playing it in the guitar with the window opened for the street with a some feminine voice on front with an idyllic setting... I'ld love to do it, but I luck the voice! I know someone who have it... but I didn't have the chance/guts to ask her.

  • I would love it if i heard someone playing this, I would definitely sing for them, lol XD. Good comment, haha. ^___^

  • haha I've heard people playing this during classes at school and you can't help but hear the whole class start singing! =D

  • I like the beatles better. I'm sorry to say, much better. But Sarah is awesome.

  • no shit sherlock...lol

  • thank you watson

  • truly beautiful

  • Ok, this is lovely, but why oh why do people always have to yell? Can we have music without screaming? Geez.

  • omg ur right!! call the cops!!! we got an illegal recording on the loose!

  • C'mon, its called America.

  • this is probobly nothing compared to what the Beatles went through. Side note, she's a pretty talented broad.

  • perfect cover..

  • beautiful song nicely covered.

Idiotic audience. Its a lovely peaceful quiet song, and theyre screaming like fucking idiots.

  • hahaha

  • totally

  • @Knealzoinks how dare them enjoying themselves

  • Wow she did a great job with this song. I was afriad for a moment but I had to give her a chance she does have a beautiful voice.

  • I gotta admit, she did a beautiful cover of that song. Still, nothing beats the original version.

The Jesse McCartny version, however, killed my soul.

  • oooo don't even get me started on Jesse McCartney! :P *makes retching sounds*

  • Hehe I totally agree :)

The Jesse version made me wince in horror.

My choir teacher would give him a talking to..

  • she's amazing-but...come on'....only the beatles can make it work....but...i do luv this lady! her voice is amazing!

  • i love this song♥ she is the best omg her voice is soo good :)♥♥♥♥

  • beatles rock all the way no one can comeclose to there original.

  • i love her

  • What is Redline?

  • does anybody know what song she played in redline? I really want to know because Im having a wedding soon and i would love for it to be in it. its a love song that I know its by her, but i cant find it anywhere. Thanks and please message me if you do know

  • sorry man dunno what redline is, only know the original song

    Paul McCartney - Blackbird

I hope the wedding aint started :P

  • She did really good! I like her cover of this!

  • Check out the version by Evan Rachael Wood in "Across the Universe"

  • i love this song

    she is good

    i love jmacs versiona also

    and the beatles

    i love the beatles

    they r awsome

  • Sorry. You are right. I was drunk and bitter the other night. I actually love Sarah.

  • who would go to a Sarah McLachlan concert? You could sleep at home for free

  • lmao thats fucked up she has a pretty voice though

  • i like it, better then jesse macartys

  • actually grammer is spelled jgrammar. the j is silent.

  • Actually; "grammer" is spelled Grammar.

  • Ur, the video is not in synch with the sound!!!!

  • light travels faster than sound...therefore causes this. bad quality too... :(

  • That's a common issue with YouTube because the frame rate of flash video and the frame rate of the audio is different.

  • love it

  • I have played & sang this song a million times,I am the world's biggest Beatle fan, & Sarah, this version is sooooo beautiful-just like you !

  • Lets see her play it while singing it like the beatles did.

  • her version sounds way better. her voice resonates inside the soul and with an understanding soothing wink and pained smile

  • are you joking? it sounds the same except that she's a woman. and dont get me wrong. i love sarah mclachlan, but you can never compare her to the extraordinary genius of lennon/mccartney.

  • Everyone has their opinion. Some people think the Beatles version is better, some think Sarah's cover is better. Personally, I think Sarah's version is much better.

  • <3

  • This is a better version than the original one. What a wonderful voice.

  • Not really. Give the original a listen. Also consider that the original is a solo. Guitar and vocals are done by one person.

  • "Also consider that the original is a solo. Guitar and vocals are done by one person."

Doesn't matter. What sounds good sounds good.

But of course, it's an art. There's no definite definition of "good".

  • love her sound...unlike any other!

  • it not hers it the Beatles

  • not the song...her sound-meaning all of her music, her voice, etc...

  • how come nobody commented?

well i'll do it. great, great cover

  • sory but nobody can messure up to the beetles sorry but no.and wats with all these perverts saying the love her and stuff i meen seriously.there just bunch of NERDS wanting to go out with her cuz they play games all day!its gay u mother lickers!tard heads wake up she suks badly and she aint good as the beetles.

  • how come you're so sure that EVERYBODY play games all day? i don't, for example. and how come it's gay to comment to a "beatles cover" ahahahahah. "she aint good as the beatles" (ooops sorry, you wrote beetles. i should have written that in the quote, huh?)... so what? who cares? she sings good anyways

  • She isn't trying to measure up to the "Beetles". She's just giving her own take on a great song. She has so much talent, I just wish you would realize that.

  • Your obviously not a Sarah fan so why are you here, go insult somebody else with you bad spelling and grammer!

"she suks badly, and she aint good as the beetles""

  • What's up with your spelling and grammer? And it is spelled "Beatles".

  • Actually; "grammer" is spelled GRAMMAR.

  • haha way to be smartass and be a dumbass at the same time
